  • *First prize winner on instructables.com* - learn how to make this purse made of fragments that seem to float! It has a living hinge top and magnetic snaps, and it's surprisingly lightweight. The purse can fit small items like a phone or a wallet. My favorite version is made wood (cut on my xTool D1 10W diode laser), but you can also 3D print it if you want (my printed version is shown in the video). Make sure you watch the video before downloading the files, because they wouldn't make much sense without the instructions!
I hope you enjoy! If you want to support me for free - visit my channel and consider subscribing if you like what you see.
I reached these clean cuts on the xTool D1 (10W) diode laser by using an air assist, 80% power, 10mm/s speed, and 3 passes. See my video about a $45 air assist upgrade if you don't already have one!

Such great work! I love the purse! Where did you get the holders for the wood in your laser cutter? Are they 3D-printed, and if so, can you share the files?

Yes, it's printed - I got it from thingiverse a while ago. I'm pretty sure it's this one:
