Arrma should Never have Discontinued the Senton 6s That was the OG Short Course Basher. Bring it back Arrma, the Talion too! Why end the life of Great Rigs? 😢
I absolutely love mine! Thing is a blast to drive. I've wrecked really really hard a few times and it's come out completely fine every single time. Tough, fast, and super fun. I can't knock this thing!
Is he right about the steering? Are you having issues with the steering? It seemed his track was a bit tough to drive on. And it was his first time
@sons-braddalton I think he's right, but I just don't notice because I drive on really loose terrain and all I have to do to turn is give it some throttle and turn in. On high traction surfaces it does lack steering pretty bad, especially on grass. But loose dirt, I don't even realize it
Thanks for posting, always a good time at the EXOPLEX! we'll see if theres a fix for the steering!
That transmission fits the 3s line of cars, too. Just put it in my bigrock v3. Works great and no more slipper problems.
Thanks for the honest review 👍👊
Always!
I primarily run on very short grass. My first impression was that this truck does everything I expected it to do and more. I, like you, feel the steering is a little lazy and I compensate for it by slowing down to help tighten its cornering ability. Most of these really good r/CS have some handling characteristic we have to compensate for. One thing for sure this truck is the quietest and smoothest running of the several I own. The drive train, to me, is second to none. Great video.
Doing a servo swap right now to help address the lack of steering at high speed. I suspect it has more to do with the OEM servo saver though. It has a hard time overcoming the Gyro forces on the tires at speed ) especially while cornering. Have a Hot Shot servo saver coming in today to put on a new amazon 35kg servo to see if it helps much.
Great video. I agree with you on the bell crank. My big rock 3s v3 an granite 4x4 3s both don't turn well. And have stock granite tires on both trucks.
That wall ride you pulled off! 💯 So Good 🧨
The scale is perfect. What a beast
Your track is the perfect surface for this truck. Loose fine gravel would be really good too.
I always end up using a straight horn with a beefy servo. 👍
Nice!! I bought one in the same color last weekend and it is fun to drive…I personally enjoy the body roll. Just looks cool, used it on the backyard track at my moms house and the yard at my house and it really seems well built…I also noticed the steering being a little lazy but otherwise worked out well
The ExoEight looks good bro… fun too
A 4s version of the 3s line. What most of us were already doing with our 3s vehicles minus the adjustable shocks and slipper (I'd like to see them come out with a better slipper for the 3s line). Disappointed in the steering response but looking forward to see what people come up with (and yes, most people seem to be drilling out the alignment holes). 👍
Vitavon needs to make a chassis and parts for this!
All the 4s line have this servo saver issue ,I took the sway bars of my Kraton V2,whacked a 35kg servo in there.I found some improvement, but hey like you say ,Arrma need to put a bell crank in these rigs.✌️
yep same issue on all the 4s stuff, great vehicles!! just need a major steering rework on them
Hot racing servo saver is the only saver I would recommend. No need to use the red arm that comes with the HR kit.
I've been watching a lot of your videos.Good work.I recently just purchased this truck.Wanted to put the MAX 8 2250 in it.What is your suggestions and what size pinion gear?Would you go with for around the same speed
seeing the battery up front is a good sign i swapped the battery to the front on my tenacity TT pro handles way better
I think they need to just bring back the senton 6s platform. And make it a tlr addition with 7075 lightweight chassis, shock tower's an a,b,c,d blocks. Also put a 4068 2650kv 4s motor an esc. Even the 2050kv on 4s works great in my og senton 6s v3. I've had it for years and it still going strong with only a few broken body post. This Mojave 4s an 6s haven't bin something I had to have since haven the og senton 6s.
absolutely!!
100% agree. ARRMA would have my money instantly 😅
Hopefully some of the sand gets into the servo saver and binds it up!!
Would the Hot Racing servo saver work in this vehicle. I did use it in my 4S outcast along with a 25kg servo and saw significant improvement
What do you mean by you can "feel the servo saver"?
The steering system looks to have much the same parts as the 3S cars. Composite (plastic) pivot balls and the servo saver. I had a Big Rock 3S, it was good but the steering I never liked. It got more loose after some bashing because the composite pivot balls wear out and you have to replace them with new ones. That is why Hot Racing is selling upgrade parts for this steering system, including alu. pivot balls. So I agree 100% the steering system should have been upgraded in the 4S car. The servo saver you can replace, and maybe also the pivot balls, then maybe the steering system is ok. But yes, the steering system in the Arrma 6S cars are better. But, even the servo saver in 6S Arrma cars have issues, also too weak and not easy to adjust the tension/stiffness. But... still the Mojave 4S looks to be close to a perfect fun basher :)
What's a GT5? What's an upgraded servo steer? Tell us coach.
Great Video Mate.
But why a Evo GT5 radio? Please go ahead and check out the new RadioMaster MT12! $130 for a radio you can run even most of your current recivers with, because it is open Source! And a new reciver from them costs only $10-20...
NIIIIICE 👌🏻
200th Like 👍🏻😁
Question, do you think the MOJAVE 6S RTR is better than the 4s version?
I bought the 4s but seriously considered the 6s for a long time before pulling the trigger. There's a number of comparison videos on youtube if you dig for them. the 6s costs more and is bigger - batteries cost more too. Can't go wrong with the 4s, but the 6s is reportedly more "raw" and punchier for sure. It'll handle rougher terrain easier as well.
The big question is is it really worth the upgrade from the 3s blx senton
IMO if it had better steering absolutely yes.
Wats better the mojave 4s or the Baja Rey I’m new to the hobby and can’t decide
Being new, I'd go Mojave. The Baja Rey is awesome, but is significantly more labor intensive to work on, and doesn't share much commonality with other cars you're inherently going to have.
Thanks man
I agree with everything @cayenne7857 said. These are way easier to work on
Replace the spring from the original servo saver with a Kimbrought KB124 spring
Did this help you with the steering on your Mojave?! Thanks
@@sons-braddalton yes, it works very well
Does it have a center diff in this?
Yes, it does! That's what makes it handle so beautifully
All the 4s servo savers are weak I’ve upgraded my Kraton and Outcast
Aluminum servo arm, forget servo savers,,, Enjoy Life😉😂🤣
👍😁. I see nothing wrong 🤷♂️
Steers just fine!
Maybe you should try and get a job designing RC cars if you don't like it that much, it's an amazing truck nitpicking it is not going to help others decide if they want it or not
Well said.
Thanks for your comment. I’m about to buy the Mojave and his comment about the steering worried me some. What’s your experience been with the steering?
It's definitely a true rc guy ,freshly woke and ripping rcs oh ya brother
Or just get a 6s outcast/notorious chassis, mojave suspension, and build your own proper 1/8th ARRMA SCT truck.
Maybe the shorter 6s Typhon arms with Mojave towers and shocks.
Disappointed the track is destroyed.
I'm reworking it
