Iron Man launched the MCU Infinity Saga in a film that still feels present and of-the-moment, thanks to the ways the Marvel films have made details like "I Am Iron Man" and ACDC's "Back in Black" iconic with callbacks in Avengers Endgame and Spider-Man Far From Home. One interesting continuity dilemma is how Coulson makes it apparent they hadn’t abbreviated S.H.I.E.L.D. in this film, but in Captain Marvel (set in 1995) it’s referred to as S.H.I.E.L.D. several times

It's so impressive that this holds up after so long. Especially when talking about superhero films that are reliant on effects, it's been a long time for this to still look good.

Did yous ever notice that any time we see the first version of the arc reactor there is some light left in it but by the last time we see it (end game) all light has disappeared from it

That's cause later in the movie tony took it out and used it again, which damaged it, since you could see it flickering on and off in the end of the movie after the energy surge to the sky.
I like the part when tony visits Rhodey for the first time after getting himself back together and rhodey talks about how pilots instincts being better than A.I then tony says “what about a pilot without a plane” hinting the suit

Rewatching these to prep for Wandavision and I was just thinking how awesome it was for Stan Lee and Steve Dikto and everyone in the Marvel Comics to see their creations make it on the big screen, kids dressing up as their characters, having their comics go on and grow and loved, and that their creations are now a big part of our media history. It's really amazing and I can't wait for Phase 4!

tony has no issue with being handed things. That only comes AFTER the benefit where the reporter hands him pictures of what is happening in Yinsen's home town.

Every time I rewatch or reanalyze this film I have even higher regard for it. I might even say it cracks top 5 comic book films ever made.
Currently on a marvel marathon in chronological order including the tv shows, for the 3rd time. Hopefully this helps alot lol.

I noticed Roxxon a couple of times, but didn't realize there where even more. I caught a lot of these references also. It just shows that these are fun rewatchable movies. I'm in South Carolina, and we haven't gone into a quarantine yet, but who knows...I have a marvel movie playlist ready for when it happens. A lot of movies, while getting my list together. Was like to bad I can't put Blade, Punisher, Daredevil, FF, or X-Men, etc etc in the list. Nice video you put together, look forward to next ones.

A big part of the cave allegory is that if one person in the cave were able to free themselves and actually look upon the light directly, the others in the cave would not believe them because it was so far outside of the scope of the reality that they knew (a world of shadows cast upon a cave wall). It expresses how getting that enlightenment may end up causing you to suffer at the hands of the unenlightened (in the allegory i believe the person who gets free is actually killed by the others when he tells them about the outside, iirc.)
I just found a detail from this movie that shows up in Civil War. The date on the newspaper headline of Howard Stark’s death is December 17, 1991. The day after the date Zemo tells Winter Soldier to report
