It is normal that her husband did not want his children to live on another continent. In addition, Paula started taking drugs with Michael. Bono broke off contact with them due to their drug addiction. It was a couple of two very immature people, even though they were both in their thirties. If Michael had survived, they would 100% not be a couple anymore.

Not sure how many know. Michael suffered a TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury). After his injury, he experienced incredible physiological and cognitive losses - even if it doesn't seem that way. I know. IMHO his TBI hijacked his life and led to Michael's premature passing. So very sad.

Paula always had a thing for Michael she interviewed him on The Tube in the 80s and it was obvious then. She was flirtatious with a lot of her guests generally. I doubt Bob was too plugged in and just knew she had a flirtatious personality but obviously something changed after this interview. It always seemed as if she was pursuing him and he never appeared that happy so I don’t know if it’s the tragic romantic love most like to think it is just two wounded souls who found each other and lived out their trauma together. A trauma bond I guess. Still sad for both of their families and hope their daughter is ok.
