Turned out that Johnny and Denise was one of the best tv couple's in British history. I'm so glad I was just the right age to enjoy this show and many more like it back in the 90s . Not really that simple, she thought they were a team and he'd argue her case but he didn't. He negotiated for himself and she felt let down by someone she trusted and thought was a friend.
Weird thing is, it wasn't actually her last show. They used to do a bundle of pre-records to last over the Christmas and new year, this was recorded a couple of weeks before it went out. She did a week or two of live shows after this was filmed and her actual final edition wasn't recognised as being so. They also moved the blue plaque after about a year, and dumped it out of sight on the wall nearest the canal, putting it right down near the ground, where it got hidden by shrubbery and remains to this day.
