Dallas offense kept the defense on the field. And those costly flags on third down really set the Dallas tempo for the rest of the game. Arizona did a really great job reading the plays and batting down passes left and right. Man budda baker was all over the place during that game and was a big problem for the cowboys offense.

Dak Prescott has a lot of "pros" but unfortunately, the one fundamental and most important component to being a good QB is being able to throw the ball accurately and Dak Prescott can't throw the ball accurately on a consistent basis. I am really disappointed in the cowboys.
1) the missed field goal. (Ariz 25-25 Dallas)
2) Dak's fumble that led to an Arizona field goal. Ariz 22 - 25 Dallas
3) Mike McCarthy wasting timeouts so we couldn't challenge the Arizona fumble that would have given us the ball in excellent position with 2:24 left in the game.
That's without even getting into the poor offensive play in the first 3 quarters.
I've been saying this for 2 seasons:.
* Need new blood on o-line. We are not run blocking or pass protecting well enough.
* Need a #1 RB (Zeke is situational at best now, we should never have paid what we did, said it back then too.)
* Need a good safety or two
I'd love to see us get a better QB but Dak isn't really the problem if the team would just realize he's not a top 5 QB, and honestly not really top 10 either, and build the team around him appropriately. And, yes, I still say Jerry overpaid. We should have moved on and gotten a new QB

I’m starting to think Dak just isn’t good enough and the same for Kellen play calling. Dak takes too long to get going and his accuracy is not that good on open receivers and the ball is often behind players or too high. The offense can dominate weaker team but competitive teams beat almost every time.

Dak really wasn't THAT bad. He wasn't good, but this game was decided by a lot of factors that all converged in one game.
The Cowboys lost this game because they came out flat and didn't execute when they needed to most on both offense and defense. Blaming the referees at this point is pathetic, no matter how you try and look at it. I'm a Cowboys fan and don't want our fans to make any more excuses. We need to come out more prepared and play better against the best teams in the NFC.

Wasn't able to catch the entire chat on this topic right here. The content I was able to hear was spot on and insightful. I only wish Isaiah Simmons could have been highlighted a tad bit more for a truly spectacular play chasing down the runner and forcing that fumble.

Fr the defense has been an unexpected bright spot this year. The offense is mediocre against below average teams and trash against good teams.

It's hard to beat a team twice. So I'm sure the Cowboys will be good in the playoffs if they meet anyone that beat them in the season.
The play calling in the big games or against solid opponents seems to get too outside of themselves. On top of that, Dak seems to be changing too many calls at the line which is typically what you want after reading what the defense is trying to do but sometimes its so obvious that they are audible into a run when the coverage shows pass. Well, problem with this is that even in pass coverage you can stop the run if you know its coming. Im not sure why they deviate too much from their style of offense when its a tougher opponent. Stay true. They went away from involving 88&19 until its too late. Keeping them involved early keeps defenses off balanced. Don't get me wrong Schultz is solid but teams will let him have all those under routes all day. He is not going to break for a big one. They just need to stick to their identity and utilize all of those explosive players. I think these changes throw dak off too thus his hesitancy and off-ness. Stick to who you are. Run the ball, let it open play action, hit your one on ones with 88&19 etc.
Dak panics and audibles bc he isn’t confident in himself to put up accurate passes against good competition. His inconsistencies and slow mental processing will continue to cost us deep play off runs every year. He’s a great guy. Just not a great QB. And the play calling, when it really matters, is terminally poor. Keeping us on the hook all year by beating up on mostly bad teams only to dash our hopes in the end is cruel. Why do we keep falling for it?

So 5 things cost the Cowboys this game. First was inability to run the football. Second was the abundance of dropped, catchable passes. Third was Dak's fumble. Fourth was Mcarthys use of time outs, leading to being unable to challenge a clear turn over and recovery. Fifth was a bad call by the refs in said turn over. The fact that the Cowboys marched back from a 22-7 deficit in the 4th quarter, to have a chance to win the game against a good team was impressive. If only the ref made the right call.
