Hey uh I used this for mcpe and since it was my first time It took me 5 hours but in the end when I spawned my mob with the custom model, and etc it just showed up like invisible and only barked and made noise
I suggest you give the entity wizard a try, since it generates UUID's and dependencies for you
Someday, somehow, I hope we'll be able to do things like this in Java. I know mods exist but...mods are hard.
They sure have a slightly higher skill threshold to get over đ
you can make custom mobs without mods. it just isnt as easy as this, and honestly the only upside over mods is that its more accessable. kinda sad
Yep, it's a bit imbalanced, but from the game companies' perspective - makes most sense to segregate. Java with more open API, bedrock with more allowing baseline.

Well you could watch tutorials to make a optifine resource pack. It is not that hard. If you have made one you can rename a mob using a name tag nd change its texture. (if your skilled you can also try to make a modelchange, but as long as you want to keep the vanilla mob you can't change the animations). This way is in another point also better because you can let the mob with your texture spawn in survival. It is like one of the cat textures (random entities).
@@CriscrafterTV yeah, I already made a resourcepack with model nbt changes for mobs and a LOT of items, but I didn't know if it was possible to make a mob with a different behavior etc.
@@Fedebarbaro well the thing with the different behavior don't work as got as it themes. I tried it and I am trying now to correct the files for the animations that everything works as it should wotk. I also added missing files (animation_cintrolls) I visited the creator help page, but it does not work. Java is still the best version. I should try to learn to make fabric or forge mods xD

i think you would have to make a mod pack for that, as this only retextures existing mobs that you can spawn in vanilla minecraft.

Finally. Been looking for some help and it is hard to find help with the basic first sets. Will have a look at your videos. I want to make some custom food for Java Minecraft.

A bit of everything but I know I have to learn in stages. I will just explain what I want to do. Take a golden carrot and put a new skin over it. I want to make ginger bread biscuits using the likeness of my Minecraft players from Hermitcraft. I saw Scar making custom biscuits/cookies and thought that might be a good project to start with. I want to make other things as my skills get better.
Ah so just item replacements with custom recipe's and meta tags. Can be done quickly with server plugins and data packs (to get it to display a custom names and description). The model itself is just resourcepack end. You'll figure it out in no time đâ€ïž
If youâre still looking to do stuff like this in Java MCreator is really good software to make Java mods, and custom food is super easy to make there along with a bunch of their stuff so Iâd recommend giving it a shot
the blockbench for kids video was a big comedy to me (I am a kid too, but not THAT kind of a kid) and it had comments turned off so I'm just gonna leave the comment here lmao. Anyway, this is just a big comedy to me (as i was saying) and I'd recommend it to all the other kids out there, though i think this video is more suitable for me. Great job Kev!

Hey, so whenever I edit model, change, and save everything it doesn't save on the Minecraft pack. I am using it like how you are but when I load it up it turns in to the cube with the textures. Any ideas?

Hi, sorry if Iâm missing something obvious but I have a bit of an issue. Iâm using blockbench on my iPad and attempting to use entity wizard. So far Iâve gotten to where I export it but I only get the âexport as MCAddonâ option and once I export it I canât figure out how to get to the ânext stepsâ part and actually edit the model. Any ideas on what I can do?

when i make it some times the texture pack doesnt even load in or when i spawn it it gos back to tghe orignal state like for example: i spawn bombie it spawns as a creeper

Hey man! The video is super great and helpful, but i have ran into a problem. So, i wanted to make a glare model since it was my favorite mob from the vote, the model is amazing but i have absolutely no idea on how to make it have animations in game (it just floats around staying still). Is there any way i can make it have an idle animation that is always playing? I am using the minecraft entity wizard since i can just give it the bat behavior.
Yes, this is a bit more advanced since you need to code that behaviour into the mob ^^

How can you preview Imported Animations from Entity Wizard? when I import them and try to view them in the animate tab they show as blank as if there arent any animations at all
They are data driven, hence not previewable

@ArtsByKev whenever I go to save the texture it makes me choose where to save it in my files so I put it in downloads and when I go into the game the texture isn't on the mob. do you know how to fix?

Hey! I just finished making the model ive been working on since before the entity wizard came out, and i wanted to import the model into the entity wizard (to add zombie behavior to it) but i cant get it to work and the model, texture, and Uv map dont match eachother when i import it
UV is affected by model resolution (in project settings).
If you drop the files into the RP you've exported, you can hijack the behaviour by overwriting the other model with the same name.

Hey I have a question! I have made 4 copper golem models each for each stage with each one but the final one having animations(since I want the final one be basically an armor stand by that I mean posable) Can I use them in the wizard? Also how do I add custom behaviour to this? I really wanted to add the copper golem. Also is there a way to show you my model? I am unsure whether the textures are vanilla or not
We show and share a lot on the community discord, feel free to drop by!
You would better have all textures in the model itself, and create states for it ingame where a dependency chooses when what texture is shown, as well as the behaviour (www.bedrock.dev might give some ideas). Example: a timer (can even be done via command blocks and redstone that sends info to a specific entity (but it would affect all of those entities, unless you wrote a script to manage all active entities in an array to pick from with ID data or something)), or a weather check, etc.

Windows PC, and with Bedrock installed.
You can also unzip the mcaddon by changing its file extension to .zip

This tutorial helped out a ton! I was wondering if you could show how to make a mob texture that renders translucent. I created a texture for a skeleton but whenever I render it in minecraft it renders opaque. I tried reading forums but most of them are to confusing :/
The material dictates, see if you can give the entity a different material in the file setup.
I'm not sure how to do this, I am making a java mob texture so I don't know if that changes anything.

I want to ask, when I make custom bedrock entity and also the animation. It replacing Iron golem with different animation, But why the animation didnt load or didnt implemented in the game the iron golem?
If you replaced em by creating new animations, then the new ones are not referenced in your animation controller script

1.12 is extremely limited unless modded. Check out GeckoLib perhaps?
