At 9:00 did you forget how to make a bridge move like that? If you have a straight bridge and want it to move down and dip, then the resulting bridge is going to be longer than the straight bridge. Road is what determines the length of the bridge, and it's rigid, so you were literally stretching the road until it broke, you were supposed to make it not connected to the side so it can dip lower and move away from the wall.
Seriously. How does an engineer not understand how length works? He must actually be an architect.

7:30 No amount of springs will solve the basic problem that the roads are connected and thus can't go down without increasing in length, and in this game roads don't do that.
He forgot to copy that info on expansion joints before exporting it from his memory to us in a previous video :)

I think Tyler said he switched to least stressed instead of lowest cost so I am not sure if beating his score is still logical.
Tyler is revisiting levels for lower stress, his original low cost ones are still on that leader board. I stopped playing Polybridge 2 when I realized I was in over my head, but if you pause whenever the leader board is on the screen, there's a budget leader board and a stress leader board.
