Alan's expanding solution amused me more than id care to admit
*sigh*
Same bro
"Sometimes I wish it was Alan that went missing" 18:05 🤣
Nice solution with the Jenga tower RCE. The reason your falling tower didn't work is that everyone else seems to have a road inside the tower.
lol
niff tea actually has a youtube channel
lets all spam him until he comes back
please dont spam me , its up to rce what he shows in his own content ,@@theanomynusguy
@@theanomynusguyokay let's do this
It was a bit frustrating that he didn't seem to be able to pick up on that. It looked pretty obvious to this non-engineer.
Died laughing at 16:03 moan. Didn't expect it at all xD
I believe you meant 16:03
Yeah wtf was that lol 🤣
😂editors trying to get him demonetized
@@PurplePotato_79Yup, thanks for the correction :)
Only 1 comment about this? I spat my burger out from laughing. The editors don't get enough love, they need to be taken to the park once in a while lol.
We as a community NEED to find out what happened to Niff-Tea. Their absence is a burden on us all that must be absolved. But cheers to Alan being the builder that always gets a hearty laugh out of me with their absolutely insane overachieving in designs.
And why is he so relevant to RCE? Is it a uni friend? Boyfriend?
i'm irrelevant 🙂@@georgH
i'm not really needed here anymore, my work here has been successfully completed 😊
@@niffTea hahhahah best answer ever
No nifftea we need you 😭
"An engineer knows he has achieved perfection not when there's nothing left to add, but when there's nothing left to take away "
7:00 The best part is, those aren't even for show, that's structurally important. They effectively created a floating fixed node in the center using equidistant omnidirectional bracing, aka, spokes.
RCE: "If you didn't do that, are you really an engineer?"
Also RCE: sweating profusely because he absolutely didn't do it.
19:01 “we’ve got a bulldozer…”
Me: Yes, a truck with a large bucket for dumping things… bulldozer. There’s no other name we could use for such a device.
If a dump truck never gets filled or emptied and only ever pushes things, is it still a dump truck? :philosoraptor:
It’s a good thing developers don’t have to account for user created content when getting a age rating
All the dicks on statues made in Tears of the Kingdom lmao
16:04
i could break nnn listening to that
11:22 was my favorite one rofl
"I am the ball bag of society."
-RCE, 2023.
I was not expecting that moan at 16:03
These levels are super cool. Props to devs
polybridge is one of the best puzzle games ever
The "EFFICIENT" bridge with the hydraulics in the jenga level has a plane crashing in two rectangles (towers)
yooooo...👀 nice catch
I hope NiffTea is alright and well.
yep im ok thanks :)
Matt: There is no need!
RCE Community: Strongest Shape! Strongest Shape!
11:34 sounds like something a welsh person would say. Careful RCE you’re on thin ice
I'm currently writing a scifi novel, and NiffTea is a cafe chain in it (kinda like Costa).
The funny thing is, I came up with the name long before I started watching these videos.
sounds interesting , love a bit of sci fi
An Engineer not noticing a central node built from symmetrical spinny bits? Very Architect of you.
6:41
Just LOOK at the wheele in the end. Not only smooth but also clean asf DAYUM
Love your Polibridge series! Please never stop making these videos!
Literally choked on my food laughing at the 'bridge' *mlawless25* built, holy crap those veins 🤣
16:03 got me dead
Very glad Matt tried to not topple the tower over. I was hoping to resume that game 😂
I love how Matt has so thoroughly shamed Tyler that he hasn't made a Polybridge episode in over a month.
The power of engineering I guess 😅
after the polybridge team added a new world too, thought tyler would have been all over that
The growing knob from Alan was a nice touch
"Sometimes I wish it was Alan that went missing"
nooooo, alan is one of the best thing of this series. RCE take responsibility for what you created xD
I can't believe Matt said that. We need someone to watch over Alan so that he never goes missing.
Alan! Alan! Al? Alan!?
Oh damn look at that wheelie at 6:42
i love the city skylines 2 series. could you possibly make those videos really long so i can watch for longer pleaseee
"Wood, maybe? Not quite long enough." - Mrs. RCE
2:13 DILDOBIKE!? 😂
You unlock freeplay mode when you beat the level under budget & unbreaking, so that's probably how they got the hydraulic pieces.
That crane was AMAZING.
6:10
ERC (definition): short for Engineering Really Civilly
Example in a sentence: RCE is ERC
7:03 this 'spinny thing' is not for look, it's creating a joint in the middle
absolutely lovely singing matt.
one of my fav songs
12:20 looks more like ice cream cones ^^
Very impressed by Alan's hydraulic creation.
Nice reference to the greatest music video ever. “Slash playing guitar on a grave”
6:39 Great finish from the bike :)
That 16:03 moment was such a surprise, I snorted and cornflakes went up my nose.
alan is the real content of this channel
We all waiting for NiffTea to come back...
i had a bridge in the seesaw level , obviously didnt catch rce's eye :)
Can you recreate the Royal Gorge Bridge in Colorado? It's beautiful suspension bridge constructed in 1929, It held the record for highest bridge in the world up until 2001 with a deck height of 955 ft. above the river!!!
The joke where you said what did the bottom people do and clicked on friends was really funny
16:02 naughty editor been stuck in the basement too long
22:37 him not realizing what the shape also looks like
18:05 please don't make Alan go, I love Alan
I really hope Alan never leaves.
NOTI GANG ON TOP, I WANT THE CHRISTMAS PADDY PLUSH SO BAD 😭
Matt calling a magazine an ammunition chamber hurts.
Can we agree to love Alan. I’m 11 and a half minutes in and he never fails to put out the good ones.
you could have stopped typing after "I'm 11" :)
Oh, poor Alan. How could you wish for such evil things?
😂absolutely wild 16:01
I WANNA BE A CIVIL ENGINEER WHEN I GROW UP!
🥰 always thankful for your videos.
Great video. 😊
21:55 there was a bit of road as a jenga block
13:17 that's very heavy , its hundred eleven thousand pounds.
Would love to see you try a Minecraft create mod let's play. (Mr Beardstone has a decent modpack that might work well for you)
“Architect move” lol
if Matt ever figures out leverage...
I want the full version of BILFy Bridge
Sounds like a bop
Great video
Day eighty of asking Matt to add the Second Narrows Bridge, Ironworkers Memorial to the Wheel of Bridgetune
It is a cantilevered truss bridge, carrying 6 lanes of traffic from Vancouver to North Vancouver in B.C. across the second narrowing of the Burrard Inlet.
It's name comes from the fact that it collapsed twice during construction, which unalived 23 people in total (Hence the name, ironworkers memorial).
that camper had a nice time
Truly a high quality song
as an engineer myself, "architecture" as you use it would be things that detract from the structural integrity and whose only purpose is to improve the aesthetics. Those beams they made at 6:30 were clearly important supports to make the incredibly sus rotating 1/8 circles hold themselves together. Although it definitely would've both looked better and been safer if he'd connected every side of it.
23:02 Thats a 9/11 reference btw
My build for RMT-10 looks like a ship, I'm quite pleased with how it worked out.
Engineering Time starts @20:18 with all time classic "I Can Build Clearly Now"
Miffed tea will come back eventually he just is working on special poly bridge levels
miffed tea - lol 🤣
Only early people know that was originally titled "when you let an engineer to play jenga"
I always hate in online leaderboards when the top people obviously cheat or use some cheap tactic to place high, it just ruins the fun of competing. I'd have thought that dangly bridge would have been fixed by now tbh.
I believe a recent update actually did fix it, this was probably just recorded before the update.
I get that you dislike it but this is so naive.
It's a simulation game. The physics are always going to have some limitations and things to exploit -- and the more freedom given to the player, the more those things pop up. For example, allowing placing materials off-grid makes room for a billion more possible solutions, but also a lot of jank. The devs allow incredible complexity, and the impressive hydraulic, gravity and other artful bridges are only possible thanks to that freedom.
The devs have tried SO MUCH to get rid of dangling roads, contrary to what you seem to think as you expect they'd have fixed it by now. The problems are: one, the above, there is always going to be SOMEthing; and two, everything that sufficiently nerfs dangles heavily impact other bridges and make the player experience worse for everyone else.
Top spot of the leaderboard in a physics simulation game is always going to involve a good understanding of that game's physics and how to manipulate it to your advantage. Nerfs to that doesn't change how playing for the top works, it only serves to break previous solves and make the experience worse for everyone else.
Seeing the cheapest solutions to the first level of the video made Wallace (or is it Gromit?) pop into my head saying "cheeese"
11:53 have no one notice that the budget was 69.666?
Niff tea is also on youtube. Last video 6 days ago. Niff tea tv is the chanel
or just @nifftea
Im getting in an hydraulic phase watching this 11:22
Say it with me! "RCE! WHERE'S NIFFTEA?""
lurking
21:45 wat de truck doin
The editors are wild for adding that moan wtf
Noone else going to mention that he's already used this song for a building montage? That's not just me, right? He's reused it?
Yeah he did
11:55
Ah, November Rain... one of Guns and Roses' best songs...
ALAN!
the ways he avoids getting demonized 😆
18:56 And it ends with a face plant!
16:03
You didn't have to add that sound effect, editor... no one made you do that.
i could break nnn listening to that
Please make a bridge over troubled water cover!
love your vids
07:04 RCE is an architect confirmed?
"More stress on the members" RCE
the "mere engineer" solution has a road inside the janga block. it prevented the block from rolling too early? i don't know why it worked that way.
oh they just supported the block at the first gap on the right so it falls as one block instead of disintegrating
that guy had to drive over the tower even after destroying it because the tower blocks interact with the road. that said it wasn't necessary to destroy the tower if he could already drive over.
Right on time!!
Alan!
It’s slime time my guys
naw the first gallery is wild 💀💀💀
16:03 SHMICHAEL i HAVE THIS ON SPEAKER WHAT IF MY ROOMMATES HEAR IT
Any plans to build a tensegrity bridge?!
I love alan man
I will play Jenga with engineers!
the way he tries to conceal the "faces, rockets, etc" is halarios
