It sure looks like it. That puppy looks well fed and taken care of. They need to check for a chip so they can get him back to its home.
Why did you take it??? Did you ask anyone around to see who’s it was?? maybe it was home and accidentally got out? It didn’t look emaciated. Now you probably just took it to the pound and they kill them if they don’t get adopted…so sad 😢💔
My thoughts! I get the property/fencing don’t look great. But that puppy was probably trying to belly crawl back in under the gap in the gate, picked its head up when it realized it wasn’t fitting and got stuck. I’m betting it got out of the fence some where else, and there’s a momma w other puppies she’s still nursing in that yard. Because that baby was a potato and not underweight at all. Maybe a bit wormy, but not starving or neglected by any means.
If you’re going to do a story on an animal being rescued at least report the full story, you would think as a news station that you would know journalism…we want to know what happened to the puppy
Probably took it to a shelter… I doubt they would’ve got it adopted right away even tho that’s what everyone would want… they usually wait 7 days or so to see if someone claims it & post that it’s missing on local websites. I don’t think that there’s a good excuse for losing a little cutie like that!

That's what I was saying. I searched all through the comments to see if anyone else was thinking that. But I only found you. Great to know I'm not the only one who questioned if they just stole that dog. I know no one wants to think that, but.............!!!!!

They just stole someone’s puppy.
We don’t know that for a fact! Yes it clearly likes people & feels safe, plus it’s been fed & looks clean.
But he’s a puppy who’s really curious like ever other puppy is, so why don’t you check around for the owner? They didn’t mention any owner when they took him,,,,,,& the dear little puppy went willingly with them too. Used to cars. Hopefully he’s chipped & theres a happy ending which we’ll never see. Would it be so hard to let us know????
They went to house connected to fence and found it wasn’t theirs so it was taken to humane Society . Too bad one of them didn’t take it or checked to see where baby came from
