J.R.R. Tolkien was opposed to Walt Disney's commercialization of fairy tales when Disney first started. He thought it was terrible to dumb down stories for children for the sake of making money. I can't imagine what Tolkien would think of Disney now.
Tolkien would be upset about what happened to his own properties. It's a disaster.

We stopped letting our children watch Disney movies in 1998 when we realized that they depicted men (especially fathers) in a negative light. Nearly all of the famous Disney princesses had fathers that were crazy, tyrannical, or dead. Children in most of their films are depicted as wiser, and/or more understanding, than their elders. Some say that the “generation gap” was promoted by Disney films.
There is no such thing as a 'transgender child', let alone a 'pansexual child'. Someone who thinks that there is should not have custody of children, let alone a high position in a company that makes cartoons for kids. This is total madness! What a horrifying state of affairs! Kids should be left alone to be kids, and not have sexual identities imposed upon them.
Yes, shame on them but we must also pray for them. This country needs to embrace righteous morals in hopes in bringing younger audiences to the word of God, Lord have mercy on us kyrie eleeson.
When one can "change" their gender, they are proclaiming they are their own god. This is the work of diabolical evil. The fact that the people behind it target our little ones...whoa to those who hurt the little ones, for our Lord & Savior Jesus Christ loves the little ones. They are effectively trying to destroy Christianity. Little do they know, Christianity has survived much worse. All we can do is try to educate them & pray for them.

I am being drawn into Orthodoxy with ever lighter more willing stepps.
I come from a background with no religion or faith talked about.
And now i find myself wanting to experience Orthodoxy more and more,
yet in my nation there are only a handful of Orthodox churches and most of them are not of my native tongue.
I do not wish to come closer to the large cities where all modern insanity is breaking out, i want nothing of that world.
At this point i feel kind of alone trying to learn, and although i do not mind being a beginning of sorts..
It would be nice to learn the ways and live the life of Orthodoxy before sharing it with others, i need truths before i speak.
In all this, i thank you for your time sharing the knowlage. it matters greatly.
May God continue to bless and guide you on your journey to Orthodox Christianity.

During its Christmas candlelight processional this past year, Disney (through an actor) stated that Christ was "simply a man."
Since Disney is a beast that now openly denies the divinity of Christ, no Christian should feed it money. Doing so is soul-corrupting.

I will be bringing my wife and step daughter from Indonesia finally this summer. My wife converted from Islam to Orthodoxy and we will be converting her daughter once here. My biggest fear though is having to put my step-daughter into public school know what they push. I so much want to find a good Christian school to enroll her in but, there is nothing close by where we live.
Could you try homeschooling or online school?
Obviously talk to your priest, but I think if you can’t find an orthodox school, it’s better to put them in a catholic school than a corrupted public school. Just teach them the differences between Catholicism and Orthodoxy and why we believe what we believe over the catholic teachings
My kids go to school. I try to teach them what is good and what is bad, to show them what Bible says and they understand everything well. When I was young I learned at school that we came from monkeys and nobody believed this even the teacher:)
We homeschool for that very reason. It is difficult to afford private school unfortunately.
Try to homeschool or find online learning provision, which is much cheaper than a conventional private school. Some Catholic schools are okay, but some preach woke rubbish thanks to their 'anything goes' pope.

Books, magazines, shows, everything. With a little orthodox cross on it, the way food is labeled “kosher”.

Thank you Father for your wisdom and God bless your ministry. Very excited to hear about “Patristic Kids.” I hope you are not using animation for your programming. That’s a Disney thing, and it allows “magic” to be illustrated and imprinted in our kids. Kid’s programming has been so dumbed down, I home schooled my kids and read to them daily from classic adventure stories, especially the live of the saints. Wouldn’t it be wonderful to see movies of courageous and moral heroes! Thank you again and God keep you.

Scary times! Personally watched someone show this kind of cartoon to his child. Safe to say I am glad God opened my eyes and removed me from that association. We need another pandemic for some clean up.

What are your thoughts about using the word "bloody" in the British manner, with the understanding that it's a shortening of "by our lady", referring to the Theotokos. I have always liked the expression as it's usually used, but now that I know what it means, I feel uneasy about using it casually. I would love to hear your thoughts about this.

Father I love listening to your talks. As an orthodox homeschooling mother I completely agree with all of the points you bring up in the discussion, but I do have a hard time supporting ancient faith as you suggested for children to watch as they feature many authors who actually are anti life and also belive in the trans agenda.

My granddaughter goes to public school (kindergarten), their Christmas play this year did not mention Jesus, the Nativity, or anything remotely religious.
