How can you blindly repeat this stuff about the church ("glory is the church") when I've traveled the world and find it difficult to find a single church that isn't openly satanic (according to their own religion, even). The Vatican has a baphomet statue and the Pope preaches in a new building designed to be the shape of a snake's head for God's sake... Ridiculous. To say something more on topic, I don't pay attention to DINKs.
You said:"One of the greatest Investments that any couple can make is the investment in conceiving and bearing and raising children to the glory of God..." And to be fair DINKs are exactly one of the types that would not raise their children this way, if they had them.

That’s great! As long as you are happy. I’d have to disagree with some of this message too tho Bcz I’ve seen most people bring in kids or especially many kids in the world and can’t take care of them. This to me is also even more wrong. I was just using wisdom and responsibility by waiting to have kids until I can Actually afford to. Because I lived most of my life paycheck to paycheck, married late, and then wife couldn’t get pregnant anyway. I think these are all also signs.
But now ever since we’ve been wanting to have kids my wife is not able to have kids anyway, so oh well. It’s just not in the cards for everyone and people have to understand that too. So there’s many reasons it’s not so black-and-white cut and dry either. Obviously he’s talking about people who are purposely not having kids and then are boasting about it and about their money, so that’s totally different thing, which I can see..but that’s not the category I was in anyway.

@@Andel-1995 it doesn’t mean that it is necessarily smart or the smartest thing to do though.
As I said, there is important reasons to wait sometimes. To me and in our situation it seemed wiser to wait especially when I saw the alternative around me. Why have many kids when you are poor? That seems very counterintuitive and wrong. Also, Not everyone is made to even have kids and many can’t. So, people don’t think about all of that as there are different ramifications of things they just do things without thinking. And if people want to use scripture, Paul actually said it’s better not to be married, but to focus on Christ, so there’s that. I just get so Tired of people cherry picking or using scripture to back up their own agendas.. because it goes both ways. Scripture is actually clear that it’s better not to do that, which is exactly why many clergy especially are against that and many churches require them to be single, or celibate, just saying.
You also forgetting back in the old days it wasn’t like now. You could survive off of almost nothing back then. They didn’t have all of the bills and expenses like now, food was also organic and natural and you can grow it and eat your own food and so many other things. People Overlook so many things. I am a retired bishop now myself and didn’t marry until later in life anyway. So, there are many reasons, it’s really not a one size fits all. I don’t care what anyone says. Also my wife wasn’t able to have kids anyway and many other reasons. I’m fine with it, and it’s definitely not a sin.

If that was the case, God would have every married woman become pregnant, which doesn’t happen at all. So, It’s not for everyone to have kids that’s very obvious. And even scripture talks about this too. I don’t like when people cherry pick scriptures. I’m surprised this video missed the main reason people don’t have kids-all of their own childhood trauma. It’s directly related. We see broken marriages. We experience the extreme pain from brokenness, from years of generational cycles, and deep within us we reject motherhood and fatherhood. As children, we play house and hold baby dolls and desire babies until we are damaged. It is a spirit born from a deep-seated pain, though of course selfish and nourished by the culture. I myself know it well. Wanted nothing to do with motherhood before I knew Christ. Directly related to pain from my mother, and from my parents awful marriage. God restored me to have that desire again. I recognize it everywhere now.

Thank you for sharing this insight. Once you see this pattern, it's hard to unsee it right? Part of the being traumatized is being unaware of how traumatized you are, especially when you surround yourself with others who have been similarly traumatized. This tends to happen unconsciously. I have also had a similar journey with motherhood due to childhood trauma. The Lord has been so merciful and healed my heart in time for me to have a child. The unhealed trauma led me to become a mother in my late 30s, I almost missed the boat. Being a mother is an absolute gift and I pray for those who are avoiding motherhood/fatherhood because of childhood trauma to seek the Lord and counselling. It is possible to heal, I am a testament to that :)

People must be healed from childhood or previous relationship trauma before even being in a relationship.
There's no point being in a relationship if it will not lead to marriage and there's no point being married if it's not open to procreation.
When I was a teenager, I didn't want to be in a relationship because my atheist father is disloyal, lusty, and greedy, he broke our beautiful family, that's why I did not start dating until I worked on myself and healed completely.

There is no journey, no tour, no destination on this earth that comes anywhere near as awesome as having children is. If people knew they would feel cheated for not knowing and not having kids. A child raised right will be a friend for life: someone who owes you their life and care.
Then there's the practical side to it: the woman who wrote "Sex and the City" admitted in recent years that she regrets not having any kids, as she is older now and no one comes to visit her and she is lonely. Selfishness is bringing children into this world they aren’t capable of providing for.
My mom was single, poor and had absolutely no business having multiple kids. If we didn’t go to school, we didn’t eat. She was always stressed out so any perceived unruliness was met with beatings. And not just with a belt, she’d strip us down, naked and beat us with extension cords, cables until she got tired. Children born to homes living in poverty are more susceptible to all times of abuse, verbal, physical and sexual.
How many children are murders annually because their caregivers abuse went to far? How many children are SA? How many are born to parents who don’t want them?
Choosing NOT to have children if you aren’t emotionally and financially able to is the Moral, selfless decision in my opinion.

My mother was also poor. she used to tell me "we're not poor, we're 'poe'" and life was very hard due to all kinds of circumstances, but we were rich in spirit. I have been able to share this spiritual enrichment with those of good financial station, but with an empty inner world. I will not reveal the abuses or trials that I had to endure for posterity sake, and will just say that the decision to be a good parent can be made at any time, and likewise to be a good son. I was 24 when I decided to get married to my beautiful wife, who is one year younger than me. It was a very hard decision for me to make, as even though I recognized that I wanted to start a family and that my relationship with my girlfriend (now wife) was naturally going that way and that this is what the Church also taught me to do, the cultural influences were also very big and I had a lot of doubts. You talked about a lot of those cultural influences in the video ("Aren't I too young?", "Shouldn't I 'enjoy' life more before getting married?", "Is having children a good idea in today's world?", "Am I ready for this responsibility?" etc., etc.). Luckily, I took the great decision to make a pilgrimage to Holy Mount Athos in order to ponder on the situation and to pray for the right decision. Obviously, I came down from there and instantly proposed to my wife, as the monks on the Holy Mountain made things clear to me (some in a very straightforward, almost brutal way), but when I made the announcement public, I was extremely surprised to see how much those cultural influences are engraved into people’s psyche, even in those of my close family’s, who are really traditional in their thought. I encountered resistance from everywhere, almost nobody supported my decision completely at first. Even my father, who is the most dedicated family man in the world and who did everything for me, was reluctant at first, not because he didn't like my wife or anything, but because of the same reasons that I gave in the beginning. And the same story played out when we announced that we were having a baby, all I could hear was "you are too young", "you should have waited and enjoyed life a little more", "you rushed" etc., etc. This time though, I didn't let culture ruin my excitement and one year later, I can confidently say that having children is the best thing that happened to me and my wife. It really changed our lives in a very good way and it gives me so much meaning and love that I cannot comprehend how in the world so many people are against having children in today’s world. What I didn’t expect though, was the deep effect that having children would have on my parents and on my extended family. It really had the same effect on them as it had on me. My child is now a beacon of hope and love that brought my family closer than ever, despite the fact that we all live in different cities (unfortunately). My father has even started to keep Lent now, despite that he never did in his 60 years of life. His official reason for this is that he wants to be more healthy so that he lives “at least to be able to participate in my granddaughter’s wedding”, but I sense that there is also a deeper meaning behind this. The bringing of children into this world is a huge blessing that, if you allow it and if you treat it with the huge responsibility that it deserves, it can really change your life and that of your family in a really meaningful and divine way, and I think that we, as Christians, should fight with all our might against this evil anti-children propaganda that is coming from the west (and which has way darker roots). Thank you, father, for the work that you do and God bless you!

I truly believe that it depends from a situation. I for example have 1 child ( 10 year old son ) whom I love dearly. Yet, there is no way I would be able to have anymore children ( part of the reason is a health condition which makes it hard to conceive or carry to a full term).. the other element of my decision is When my son was a baby, I was suffering from severe postpartum depression. Basically, I barely remember Anything from my son’s first year of life. In addition, when my baby turned 16 months, we were struck with diagnosis of autism. It took me years to become the best mom I could be for my boy. There is no way, I would ever take a chance to throw myself back into the darkness ( postpartum depression) and then fail again not only the child I already have, but a newborn baby as well or go through a heartbreak of miscarriage ( been there done that). Life without children is empty, but I completely understand young couples who are terrified to have children nowadays.

Sometimes people don’t reveal their personal struggles. Instead of exposing this vulnerable side of life, because we have seen that in the end people either don’t care or don’t listen, my generation has started to just embrace life as it happens. I have struggled with fertility issues as have many women and men have. I don’t have a large home but couples without children have a right to be homeowners. Many of us are exhausted by the dirty looks, the assumptions that we are selfish and the general lack of compassion we get in society. What’s worse is the fact that it’s spreading to the church. I am blessed with a church family that has never made me feel like less than a woman for being childless. I probably look like yet another selfish millennial with a spoiled cat. In reality I lost my baby and I still feel immense pain that my body wasn’t strong enough to carry her. Ironically, I was given a kitten by a stranger the week I was supposed to give birth. May God grant us all patience. Look at everyone as an individual rather than a statistic.

Thank you for this message, Father.
There is learning something of the nature of the Lord in parenthood.
In raising my own daughter, I discovered what it was like to love someone so unconditionally, sometimes in spite of their disobedience, willful ignorance, and dereliction.
I began to understand what it was like to love someone so much that, indeed, I would be willing to suffer for their errors that they might be spared.
I began to understand what it might be like to say "I would die, that they may live."
And I also began to understand how pleasing jt is when those that you love and look after return your love in kind with praise and action.
The enemy of our souls, and his cult of death, they would deny our future generations that connection with the Lord.
But thrash, struggle and scheme as they might, our Lord is the mighty, holy, immortal, and He will have His way.
