Rachel Dratch is Dartmouth Class of 1988 (D'88) and I'm pretty sure this skit is her brain child. There were two married tenured professors at Dartmouth who are still teaching there today. They focused on gender studies and have been together going back to the early-mid '80s, often co-teaching classes. Yes, they are great professors, certainly a bit odd but of course the skit, although hilarious, is an exaggeration....
