Sorry to have to ask for help but I'm trying to follow this tutorial in 3dc 2022 but when I try to draw a circle from the center, there is a green ball there that essentially when I click on it instead of drawing the circle it wants to grab the draw area instead. is there a way to turn that off? or a hotkey to draw from center in the sketch tool?
It's actually bugging me too
I only have 2 ref planes. How to get the 3d one from top?
A little question; at the 2:00 minute mark you draw out the circle to the size you want but then you move it around to just the right spot before you release the mouse key to fix it in place. What hot key are you hitting to allow you to move that circle (or any other drawn shape) around before you fix it in place?
I was pressing space bar :)

not really :( You can import a cube with beveled edges but that's about it

Hi, thanks for helping community, do you have a technique in order to have clean edges without increasing to much the number of voxel ? do you have also a trick to resample and keep sharpness it alwayz smooth edges, thanks
That's the problem with voxels. No way to keep it sharp without high poly counts

This is fundamental principle for my 3D Coat sculpting since I saw this approach... One question:
Can we save these sketches for further development or different versions somehow?
As far as I used this technique, one scene only contains one sketch.|

there is a save option for each plane you can save it as a jpg as far as I remember

Do you prefer 3D Coat over Zbrush or Blender? If so, why?
tough question Shinobi. I use all three. 3d coat is quite a novelty in real production so everybody wants you to use Zbrush. And I think over the next 10 years Blender will beat all of them.
The moment Blender gets high-poly support with all the functions it will be too good and free.
But even just for design practice 3D Coat is insane I think. Like when you go to do life-drawing there is no actual commercial purpose for it just drawing practice same 3D Coat will be great at least for prop design practice.
And I will have some talks with artists coming soon where 3D Coat is a killer in AAA games when it comes for environment mesh sculpting.
My channel is more about 3D Coat since there are just so many other artists showing Zbrush and there is not much information about the coat.
How does this look as export as a mesh?

auto retopo instant meshes (already build in 3d coat)
or separate mesh and do manual retopo for each part

нет, эта штука была сделана за 20 минут в поисках концепта и можно попробовать 200 разные форм за час при желании. Если есть концепт тогда лучше кад.
@@AntonTenitsky Я давно слежу за твоим каналом и у меня часто возникает мысль "Почему не кад?". Форму можно сделать изогнутую, в Коате квадратные штуки получаются. А ещё можно сделать механизм целиком, не деталь одну. Сетка будет лучше, весить меньше, не будет рваных краёв и фасок. Кад используется на стадии концепта
