If we want God to show us mercy, thence we should show mercy to the animals. God did create them and gave us dominion over them just as He has dominion over us. Personally I can’t enjoy my meal until I have made sure that my animals have been fed.

We had the power companies and snow plows out riding around the last two days where I am in md. But our town is in its own little climate. We have flooding and downpours where I am, 12 miles up the “mountain” near the pa line got 8” of snow Saturday.

Florida has been cold everyday. I can remember a Winter that has been cold day after day for weeks on end with lots of rain. I hate cold weather and I totally hate rainy, over cast, cold days. El Nino is a bitch, but it did keep the hurricanes away.

Back in my day in ny. A Blizzard was it snowed for 3, 4 days in a row with hurricane winds. Snow total when this happened was 28 to 36 inches of snow. Not 6 inches. You act as it the whole north east is being pummeled.

Alright but what are people supposed to do for back up heat if they're in an apartment or condo and can't run a generator? I have a space heater that could run off a battery, but it would have to be 1 of those big ones that are a couple thousand dollars. Obviously people can Google for answers, but it would be nice if emergency people considered non-homeowners when giving advice.
