you should have offer him a warm place to sleep are would you have been afraid to allow a homeless stranger to "sleep in your home" better yet why not pay "for 2 nights stay at a hotel" with 2 to 3 warm hot meals and a pot of hot coffee....I no that would have been impossible.😰 for you to do ....
I myself always do something for the homeless and the restless exspecialy when it's winter , wet and cold I've paid as much as 3 nights stay at a hotel I found it was better than giving a few dollars and leave them alone in the cold , wet , winter lonely , cold , wet and hungry and afraid......once I allowed 2 to sleep in my basement to get out of the coldness of the night...
LATER a few years went by and they came and thanked me for such a good deed.
"NOT a GOOD DEED BUT ; I DONE what WAS FAIR AND RIGHT" that was in my heart
all homeless people are not MURDERS , KILLER'S , MASS MURDERERS some are just DOWN on there LUCK
some are VERY EDUCATED. and SMART , I've MET a FEW that had PHD , MASTERS , BS. that was
DOWN on THEIR LUCK that just NEEDED a LITTLE PUSH a little ENCOURAGEMENT a KIND WORD a SMILE to say its GONNA be ALRIGHT....SOME have been TALKED DOWN so MUCH til they just NEEDS to be TALKED UP TO ; to ALLOW them to WALK into their NEW BEGINNING , NEW LIFE..... this is why we MUST be CAREFUL WHO we TURN our BACKS ON WHO WE TURN OUR NOSIE UP AT who WE SHACK our HEADS at who we DISC and SAY BAD THING'S AT ARE TO...
MY GOD SIT HIGH AND HE LOOKS VERY LOW HE HEALED THE SICK , RAISED THE DEAD AND MADE THE BLIND TO SEE 👀 NOW WE MUST OPEN OUR EYES TO SEE THE PEOPLE THE HOMELESS THE HELPLESS THE POOR THE HUNGRY THOSE THAT'S IN NEED THOSE THAT'S DOWN ON THEIR LUCK... TAKE TIME

WET , SNOWY , COLD , RAINING AND YOU HAVE "NO COAT # 2 BLANKETS , SHOES , SOCKS. , A HAT" IS NOT GONNA KEEP ANYONE DRY AND WARM NOR WITH A FULL STOMACH.......
LET'S DO OUR PART BY JOINING TOGETHER AS ONE TO HELP THE POOR AND THE NEEDY WE MUST HAVE A "STARTING POINT SOME WHERE" SO WHY NOT LET IT START WITH YOU AND I.....

      CARING IS LOVE ❤)
WHY NOT ADDED TO THOSE TEN DOLLARS BY COLLECTING MONEY FROM FAMILY AND SO - CALL FRIEND'S AND GOT HIM A COUPLE NIGHTS STAY AT A WARM HOTEL PLUS FOOD
THIS WOULD HAVE MADE A WORLD OF DIFFERENCE AND BLESSED HIS HEART TO THE FULLEST TO THE

Respect to all the sanitation workers and to the cities for keeping the roads clear. I have seen news reports of similar snowstorms in northern Spain where some towns and cities don't even prepare for them. Some people get buried in their towns for weeks at a time. And, mind you, because some of those towns are centuries old, they don't have central heating to heat their homes. They only rely on chopped wood and provisions they got ahead of the storm. It is not in every town and city but in some.

Seems, you, in US, you are well prepared for this expected snowstorm bomb, as you call it.
Compare to what happened the last week (Jan 20 - 28, 2022) in Greece, in that unusual date for the Greece, this weather snowstorm who arrived from north Europe.
The state/s services works very well to keep roads, national streets and highway open. Even cranes, in accident scenes to help trucks who fall down and restore the traffic on road. Plus the fact, I see, there is common understanding and well communication of each crew who helps the community that time!
Much probably, in US, you should be more disciplined (than, what) we are in Greece.

This happens normally every winter in upstate New York. It is the usual, nothing out of the ordinary. I guess in downstate New York it is not that common and they get alarmed and freak out.

I 'll tell you what, the weather has been changing here in WA as well. But, this is not 'climate change'. This is something else. Hot hot summers, and snow for christmas...very unusual...not hardly believable. But, it happened, snowed christmas day, and off and on through the new year Jan 1...then started melting. I am sure the Gates family were very happy! God bless.

I just want to say Secaucus roads New Jersey are terrible. I'm not sure if the city plows know what they're doing 🤣. They obviously don't have a clue no blacktop can be seen they do not believe in using salt 🧂$$ too much money for them to do that I guess. But terrible terrible roads they plowed for 24 hours and it still looks like this

I would rather be in snow than 70 degrees in winter. I just came back from Texas. It was fine but 66 in January is too warm. Back home in Minnesota where it is 15 with moderate snowdepth. And a nice warm up to 32 today 😊

It’s, uh, their lively hood…DUH. “This driver can barely make a turn” (guy in white pickup)…yeah, cuz he’s going too fast. Geeshe!
