  • I rarely ride electric skateboards without protective gear, but sometimes, pads can be a real pain to put on and are super uncomfortable.
The Nobleman TQ-1 Protective Pads are neither of these.

Cant understand how folks dont gear up with E-board. Its one things to push around on a longboard along a beach. Having a constant speed of even 15mph can wreck you up soemthing fierce. Seen way too many folks with broken bones and sprains. Combine that with alot of folks getting into Eboards have no skating experiece or even know how to fall. All that to say Gear Up! Not a matter "IF" you fall but when

Very very expensive for what it's. The most important protective gears for an eskater should be the downhill helmet (200-350$) and sliding gloves(50-75$). Putting more than 100$ on all other pads is just an Overkill's.

Besides the very high price tag …they also have another issue …they are flexible…carbon fiber is not flexible…so the truth is, this pads are made out of plastic and have a layer or laminated carbon fiber …
Yes they are good looking and maybe comfortable…but not safe enough for high impacts …
Great looking pads, but I can’t find any real testing, that can proof, this pads are what they claim …

I picked up a rollerblades bag of knee, elbow and wrist guards with a similar quick release mechanism for $28 on Amazon. I don’t see why I would spend more than 10x the cost to shave a few ounces. I don’t see any benefit. Except to influencers, who get a cut of the huge profit margin. I’d like to to see more unbiased esk8 content, where they don’t just make paid ads, and actually review & critique products. I’ve seen too many influencers promoting this same nobleman product lately, without mentioning any cons.

As someone who's had several reasonably fast crashes I'm definitely glad I went "overkill" i have about $900AUD worth of PPE for riding esk8 and my gear has saved me from months in hospital, i crashed just yesterday and i walked away with a grazed elbow and a bruised hip. I finished my ride after, I was able to do that because i went "overkill" on protective gear...

Do they fit ok with wrist guards? I had 3 months off work with a broken wrist so it's a deal breaker for me if they get in the way of my wrist guards

Yeah perfect I'd youre exactly 5'10 and average weight. If you're skinny or heavy or tall or short the pads won't fit. Who makes pads in only one size? How lame is that?
