- So Alex Ball asked me last year ago if I would want to help him demonstrate some KORG gear for his new documentary. Of course I could do that, so here is me demonstrating the DVP-1 Digital Voice Processor from 1986.
Check out his great documentary here: • Traveler: A Korg Retro...
Since it doesn't have any other sounds, I spruced it up with some MS-10 (bass), Volca Beats and TR-Rack (drums and MIDI grand piano). Everything processed using, guess what - the Behringer X32R for some lush reverb! Hah! I betcha didn't think that could sound so sweet. ;)

Really nice!
Awesome! greetings from Brasil!
Fantastic
Criminal that this has so few views!
Does anyone know how to replace the battery and restore the DVP-1 to factory settings?
Check the Service Manual. www.synthxl.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/08/Korg-DVP-1-Service-Manual.pdf
Surely a little banal use of the DSS-1 :)
Banal?
@@AndersEngerJensen Yeah, it's a monstersynth and then this...basic rompler sound? :)
@@reidhauke3389 You do know that the DSS-1 is only triggering the DVP-1 which is the whole point of this video… if you read the title (and watched Alex’ Korg documentary)?
@@AndersEngerJensen No! I missed that part haha.
This is weird...
Well, the DVP-1 was a bit limited so not much variety to play with.
