  • Today, I'm going to walk you through the Malibu Command Center. It's a fairly easy system to learn, but there are a few things that I think everyone should know.

    Thank you for the video, I just bought a 2015 MxZ 22 and can't find anything helping through these settings , even though this boat is a 19 it was close enough to answer a few questions. Very good job.

    Hi Chantel - love your videos on trailering and loading as well as this command center video. Where can I order the specific lake navigation chip you mentioned?

    • @ChantelBoats
      @ChantelBoats  Před 2 lety

      Hi Jennifer! There is a navigation puck that needs to be ordered and installed by a dealer (if you don't already have it), then the chip needed depends on where you are in the country, and you'll need a Navionics SD card. If you have the 2020 or newer system, they did away with mapping assuming most people just use their phone maps!

    Can you show us how to break-in an inboard motor. Great videos.

    • @ChantelBoats
      @ChantelBoats  Před 4 lety

      Most manufacturers have different recommendations for the break-in period. I would ask your service department and/or refer to your engine manual for specifics on your motor.

    Do you know if you get a service now code and then it goes away. Will the system hold the code? Where do I find it on this 2018 screen set up?

    Hi Chantel, Great video, thanks! It would seem that we have accidentally deleted a factory preset. Any idea how to re-establish it?

    • @ChantelBoats
      @ChantelBoats  Před 3 lety +1

      You can either fully reset it to factory settings, which would delete any presets you have created, reset the start code, turn off any accessory buttons so you'd need to turn them back on, etc., or you can tell me which preset you deleted and I can tell you how to rebuild it!

    Great video!!! Can you explain how you got the wedge up at 7:39 of your video? Thanks

    • @ChantelBoats
      @ChantelBoats  Před 5 lety

      Hi Brett! Normally, as a safety feature, the boat needs to be moving faster than 1mph for the Wedge to come all the way into stow. In the showroom, I used a backdoor in the settings (on the small screen) to slowly bring it all the way up. Page 72 of the 2019 Owner's Manual shows instructions.

    • @brettu2587
      @brettu2587 Před 5 lety

      Chantel Herbert thanks for the reply. I have a 2018 VLX. Can this be done on the 18’s. I have no access to a 2019 manual. Thanks.
      I put it down in the driveway when I first got the boat and had to get to the lake to put it up.

    • @ChantelBoats
      @ChantelBoats  Před 5 lety

      @@brettu2587 Oh dang!! What I did is in a new screen for 2019. I think a lot of people have done exactly what you did! It doesn't hurt anything to tow it with the Wedge down in the case that it happens - most boat shows we end up driving boats back with all the Wedges down! There are a couple ways to get it back up without going to the water - if you have the boat in Zero Off speed control mode, you can hook up to a truck and tow the boat at 1-10mph with someone in it putting the Wedge up. If it's in Paddle Wheel mode, you could have someone climb under the boat and spin that paddle wheel (or use an air compressor to blow it so it spins!) so it thinks you are moving and someone in the boat putting the Wedge up. Sorry, I know neither is ideal, but could work if you need to have it up!

    For the presets, is there any way to upload a custom photo for the pic or can you only use the pictures that malibu provides?

    • @ChantelBoats
      @ChantelBoats  Před 5 lety

      They used to have an app that I'm pretty sure let you add a custom photo, but the app isn't available anymore. As far as I know, there isn't a way to upload one directly into the system.

    • @ChantelBoats
      @ChantelBoats  Před 2 lety

      It does rotate, but it isn't necessary to rotate it for travel, more just to make adjustments depending on who is driving.

    Hey Chantal, my service warning light keeps coming on. Had it serviced by a licensed dealer. We went into the the service diagnostics and turned off the red lights so they’re all green. Would you happen to know how to reset the service warning?

    • @ChantelBoats
      @ChantelBoats  Před 2 lety

      Hey Matthew, do you have any Active or Inactive codes? Making sure the red lights are green should take care of that warning unless there is something else going on.

    • @ChantelBoats
      @ChantelBoats  Před 4 lety

      Ballast tanks. They fill up with water to make the boat heavier so the wake is bigger for wakeboarding or wakesurfing.

    How do you turn the under water lights on

    • @ChantelBoats
      @ChantelBoats  Před 3 lety +1

      If you have them on your boat you should see them on the 7" screen. You just tap the circle and they should turn on. If you've had to reset your system for any reason, it may be grayed oput, so I would reach out to your service center and they can help you get the settings squared away.
