One thing that kind of helped me was just thinking that with backing up, you're pushing the trailer and the truck has to follow. knd of abstract I know but it helped me.

Loaded my boat onto the trailer with current was a BIG hassle.came in countering the current at a angle that seemed to work was way better .better to try agagin then to bang the next guys boat

I have a 2001 wakesetter with a "old school" wedge that locks either in the up position (pushed up against the bottom of the deck). Or lock down 90 degrees facing the prop. So down position creates the larger wake? And up should be up for just cruising? I'm guessing whatever way creates more wake would also hurt fuel economy? Or put more wear on the motor, working harder for same speed? When should it be up and when should it be down? Is there ever a time it SHOULDNT be up or down?

First time boat owner here! We have rented and my husband has driven boats before, but never loaded and unloaded a boat. We have wanted a boat for 30+ years and finally did it! We took it out for the first time yestereday (wednesday) hoping it wouldn't be busy. We sucessfully unloaded (first time I EVER drove a boat) and after a few stressful attempts and some help from our older son who has driven boats before finally loaded it. We are still married LOL , but whew was it stressful. He wants to go back out today and to say I am stresssed is an understatement. Then I came across your video's and it is the most helpful ones I found as you show the details for both the driver of the boat and the driver of the truck. Many video's assume we know some of the basic things that new boaters DO NOT : )) Thank you and now that I have repeatedly watched your videos , hopefully today won't be as stressful and we can get to enjoying the good part!

I have been driving boats for a long time, but looking to get my first towboat. I am coming from I/Os so I can reverse however I want. One thing I never see in these videos is what to do when you have to dock on the port side with a tow boat. Since they won't really reverse that way without a thruster.

One of if not the best boat launch video I've come across! Not surprised its by a "Wake" crew, you guys rock! I've always been able to click my v-drive in reverse and back out no problem after getting as little nudge from the truck driver as you mentioned. No extra gas or going back into neutral just click into reverse and the into drive once your clear and idle out of the way. Unless you have a good wind that day and even then what are you doing putting in with the wind blowing? lol i know there are times and circumstances just being silly like hey we pull out when the wind kicks up so make us a boat retrieval video where your racing the storm front that just blew up out of nowhere! lol great job and beautiful boat! Yes I know the video is 4 years old still a pretty boat

' no wonder why this boat trailer and toyota truck doesnt has 2 amber yellow lights on the rear taillights for turnning signals... the truck must use a '' N '' neutral shift on the down ramp to the water... never use a '' R '' reverse shift

Might want to unplug electrical from the truck...lights are waterproof, but not always with age. Important especially in salt water.

They need to go all subfloor ballast. If I pay over 200k for a boat. I should not be seeing soft bags and hoses in my storage compartments

Did you forget to unlock the round nob that unlocks the front of fhe binini? You twist and push to unlock the bimini. It's on the help side of the bimini. Really curious if you use it?

Great video. Love the points that if it isn’t working, just back off and try again. One thing I work on is telling everyone to only go to/from the boat if you can comfortably “step”. We never jump.

Any advice for buying a boat in the winter? I’m ready to pull the trigger, the boat is in excellent condition, but I can’t take it for a test drive because all the lakes are frozen and it’s winterized.

keep a lithium pack in your boat, especially if you running a single battery setup.

Long story short. I got stranded a the engine wouldn’t start because the throttle lever jumped out from starting position. Thanks to your video I was able to get my kids home without having to call a tow boat on a Sunday afternoon. Thanks a million!
