Heck I weigh 120 and when I go backpacking or camping I’m carrying 60-70lbs, I carry everything I need, I even have a wool blanket I use a poncho liner for the inside

Okay. But these guys were also carrying a rifle, ammo, a bayonet and marching for hours--sometimes under fire!!

@@tekis0 ya I do the same kinda but I’m not carrying a rifle or under fire, I got a video of me hiking with all my gear, I’ve hiked 10-20 miles with over 50lbs on my back, I realize back in the old days they might of marched longer but still I understand there struggle, and I got historical videos of what Vietnam soldiers carried US/NVA/Vietcong

I’d like to add that their boots back then were similar to what we consider dress boots now a days, though significantly more durable.

@@AmphiStuG I understand that but I wear boots all the time anyway, I don’t buy specific hiking boots, I’m cheap haha, I climb boulders with work boots too, cause someone along time ago on my one climbing videos said how they like that I don’t wear the right stuff, I got all kinds of outdoor videos if you’re interested, and military historical videos of some ww2 and Vietcong and US

Yes, but add in an 8-10 lb rifle and 120-140 rounds of 30-06, and it's significantly more weight.
50 lbs in a non framed, beltless, unpadded shoulder strap rucksack, and you're talking moderate weight in a one size fits all uncomfortable 10 mile hike.
That 50 lbs doesn't include field rations and water.

I'd like to See The US Uniform ( WWI ) Next to the British, Because From B&W Photos it looks like the Same Uniform

If I’m not mistaken it was. I could be wrong but the US was so ill equipped for war that a lot of equipment was purchased and provided by the allies

There's a very easy way to tell, though it's pretty crude. The standard issue WWI U.S. tunic, the M1917, had a standing collar whereas the standard issue British tunic, the M1908, had a laying collar. This isn't always accurate, however, as some U.S. models of uniforms did have laying collars. Regardless, however, pretty much all WWI U.S. uniforms had collar insignia, which was in the form of a disc for enlistedmen and "US" and a pair of crossed rifles for officers. Again, this can sometimes prove to be misleading however this is the way I do it.
