    Years ago I was the technical director at a San Francisco theater of some fame. Anyway we needed a set that looked like a deconstructed condo skyscraper loft place. Cool. So for the first meeting, I cut up some 8' strips of 1" blue foam, like two 6" and one 7" for the web and had only primer'd it in that iron red color, no aging or weathering. Stood it up in the meeting room, and a late arrival to our group came in and tried to swing around the fake I-beam with hilarious effect. The person was good natured about being fooled... lol

    after diggin around I think this is the best one for me as I am Buiding a psudo Bridge for a production and I think this will be the best way to get the look I want. Thank you for sharing your method

    Looks great . The other beam is technically called an H beam . Commonly found in homes

    One is called I beam and the other one wide flange .
