Tudor Black Bay 58 Navy Blue (Hands-On Review): First Week on the Wrist
Vložit

- A Discussion and Review around the Tudor Black Bay 58 Navy Blue. A watch that has been perpetuated by Hype and Demand over the past four months and one that I criticised for its barebones choice of using Blue with no other accents. The question: How well does this watch integrate into daily wearing and a simple rotation? Very, very easily. I might even consider owning one...

Just a 5 star watch. When you get it on your wrist it’s just magic. Handsome, bone tough, and crazy accurate. I wore mine a week and it didn’t lose/gain a single second against the atomic clock. Couldn’t be more pleased with it. For sure my Omega Seamaster is going to be looking for a new home
I feel the same,
Fantastic watch😃
Yes i cnt emphasize on the accuracy capability of this watch. Its more accurate than my china smartphone. However on certain days the watch lost a second every week though not frequently.
Haha this over a Seamaster? Its an inferior product and feels cheaper because...well it is cheaper
Interesting. Mine gains 5 seconds every single day.
@@derekbrettell8121 Or, and this might be an incredible revelation for you, people have different opinions! Shocking, I know.
I bought my blue 58 from an AD a few months ago. I was there to put my name on the Rolex list again. While looking at Oris and Omega the sales person suggested I look at Tudor. After seeing the blue 58 in the showcase I was hooked. It is a fabulous watch and I absolutely love it! I also have a datejust, kermit sub date, black sub date, daytona and a yachtmaster. I find that I reach for my blue 58 more often than the others. It's a joy to own.
I couldn't care less about the hype or why others are buying them, I want this watch because I love it. It's absolutely gorgeous.
Had mine for 2 months and absolutely love it, look at everyday and wear it every weekend with the blue strap. It’s so much watch for the money.
As a Rolex Sub owner, I must say this Tudor might just be the perfect watch. I love my Submariner and will only part with it when I pass it to my son. This Tudor however is gorgeous. It has all the quality of a Rolex but with its own identity, and none of the negative stereotype. Having seen the blue Tudor at my local AD recently I would not consider them sterile or boring. The blue is the perfect shade, not too much or to little. If I didn’t already have the Rolex , (it was an anniversary present),I would grab this Tudor and never look back.
I like!!
I own both the sub and bb58 blue. I really like having both. The BB58 is the perfect understated low-key option for more day to day life. Plus, in my opinion there are enough differences in color, case size, and crown that they do not all feel like the same watch. I would definitely recommend adding it to your collection if the only thing holding you back is your sub.
@@rickyromano6659
Thanks for the insight. The key word here is collection. Lol . As someone who really doesn’t want to have a collection, I have to think to myself, when is enough enough. I do have several other nice watches, and each one has its own story. That being said, each one interferes with the enjoyment of the other ones! Lol . Oh the humanity!!
Enjoy those two masterpieces my friend!
The Tudor has caught my eye in a big way so it may happen. Time will tell! Pun intended.🧐
It is very nice to see a hands on assessment to accompany your original video. I own the watch. I bought it the day it was released. I was one of those who happily jumped on the hype bandwagon. However, I did so because I really liked the original BB58 but didn't like the original color combo. This model gave me the size and shape and fit that I knew I liked and added the blue color. I think your points in the first video are valid, but I was pleased that your reassessment so closely matched my feelings and thoughts about the watch.
I also would have liked the square indices more. I had a Pelagos and sold it b/c I disliked the chunkiness of the case and bracelet. However, the indices on that watch looked really good paired with the snowflake hands.
--Michael
Thank you for this Michael. And thank you for following along the journey with me when the watch was released (my opinions on the launch definitely weren't popular) You're not the first to mention letting go of the Pelagos. The owner of the Explorer I'm borrowing also felt the same way about it and I'm interested in seeing what he'll think about this new blue variant. This hobby of ours... again, thank you for the comment, brother!
Great video and well balanced review of the watch. It really needs to be seen and tried first hand to get the understated tooltastic and understated class of the watch. It’s a tool that doesn’t need to shout.
Best watches are those that fly under the radar.
The tool watch that we deserve ;) Cannot thank you enough again, James. I feel that if I had to borrow your Batman and others my brain might explode with questions...
The blue color and the steel of the band are stunning. It works beautifully when I wear jeans. I own many more fancy watches but this one is my favorite every day watch. That blue also change colors depending on the light and often looks black.
Another great review IDGuy on a very cool watch. Hats off to James @Showcase Watches.
James is doing himself a favour (he's told me) The BB58 has been getting all the wrist time and now he can finally breathe and wear his other pieces hahaha! It's been awesome to experience. Still can't top your Bluesy though ;) I hope you're still on top of the babysitting, brother! Look forward to our chat on Sunday
@@ID-Guy Hi, I noticed that the BB58 is extremely smooth when winding it and also has a very satisfying sound and feel. I didn’t find it to be the same case on the news submariner with the 3235 movement. Did you notice the same?
This watch is way more Tudor than Rolex IMO. Tudor does blue while Rolex does Black. Tudor has been teasing us with colored bezels for years and now they’ve given us the real deal. Not to mention this is somewhat a replacement for the Steel Smirf so many people wanted (not mentioned in the video). IMO, this is the modern Tudor Submariner and what’s not to love about that ?
Interesting to hear how your thoughts on this model have changed, and the same goes for the Explorer. It definitely shows that experiencing a watch in the flesh is the only way to really know if it's right for you!
Mine’s in the post. And I’ll be keeping it. Great video again IDguy.
I very recently bought the Black Bay 58 Navy Blue to compliment a range of predominantly black-dialled watches in my collection that include the classic Rolex Submariner Date 16610 that I've owned for 19 yrs. The Tudor is a super, very well-made luxury timepiece and I appreciate its rather understated blue dial and bezel compared to the 'bling-blue' ceramic of my Omega Seamaster 300. Like-for-like think of the Blue 58 as a more modern take on its original black and gilt sibling. The blue really pops in daylight or in well-lit rooms and a pleasure to wear. Although not quite up there with the Rolex in the absolute quality stakes - why should it be when barely 35% of the price - go to an AD and try one on. You won't be disappointed.
I just watched this; outstanding review! I just purchased one of these today so I’m on CZcams searching for validation…
I can’t wait to get it!
Congratulations on your pick up. I have an unpolished immaculate 1995 Tudor Submariner 79090 with blue dial and bezel. I also like he BB58 but unsure about the faux riveted bracelet.
Excellent review! I appreciate the comparison between your first review and having the Tudor on your wrist 👌
Have been enjoying this watch for almost a month since purchasing at my AD, the color is lovely! It almost matches my denim blue Volvo XC60 💙
Great review, I look forward to it being added to your collection.
We shall see! I'm constantly drawn back to the "Rolex Bug" and brands like JLC. It's such a joy to experience these watches and "consider" them a lot more deeply. Can't wait to share your custom Odysseus on Saturday, Russell! Hope you've had a great week
I was offered one on strap from my AD a couple days after the release. I passed on it since I have the OG BB58. I couldn't see myself having an Explorer MKII and both BB58s. I bought a hesalite Speedy instead haha.
Explorer, BB58 Gilt and Speedy? Fantastic combo. And thanks for your comment! Must admit, the pop of blue does add something quite nice to a collection (but its definitely not for everyone)
@@ID-Guy Thank you! It does, indeed. My fellow watch enthusiast friend has the blue version that I get to check out every so often and it is really nice. In my opinion I would pick an SMP 300 blue just because I love how dynamic the ceramic dial is. The only problem is that I also like the white dial. Too many choices haha cheers!
@@xekret
I was so surprised with your comment. The three pieces in your collection are EXACTLY the three pieces in MY collection too... Hahaha... Shows that you have impeccable taste... Wear them in good health! :)
@@Chris_BQ Likewise!
Had mine since August now. Bought myself a vanguard strap for it, the blue strap compliments the dial and bezel so well. I wore it on the strap for 3 weeks then ot had to go back on the bracelet
i love how you criticized the watch without even having tried it, good thing someone lent you to experience it.
Great vid as usual and nice to see how irl experience with it compares to the hype wash-back. Personally, I still think the OG BB58 is the more interesting, charming and important watch of the 2 and is the one I still have on my list. I am wondering if what with all that has gone on this year, all new watches have received more hype than they would in an ordinary year, thinking of the new Rolex Subs and especially their OP Doxa homages, the new Snoopy Moonwatch for example. Are watch fans just happy to see and be around to experience new watches maybe?
Agree with you man. The Navy Blue feels "Supplementary" or "Complimentary" in a collection next to the OG. The Original can stand on its own two feet well because it offer that touch more of visual complexity. Interesting talking point!
The other point on which this has the Explorer beaten, is how flat the clasp lies on the bracelet when closed. The Explorer’s clasp sits very proud of the bracelet and feels less refined because of it, in my opinion. I have the 214270 and the BB36 (blue) and much prefer the whole bracelet & clasp on the Tudor, not to mention the general wearability on my 7” wrist. Great vid as always. Hope you and yours are keeping well. 😉👍
wearing one while I am watching this,. Love it!
I tried this at my AD but I still prefer my black dial BB58. Great content. Cheers
This makes for more of a "supplementary" watch where the OG feels more complete to stand on its own (I'm sure many of us feel this way) - Thank you as always for the comment Jimmy!
I have the original black one. Have a Rolex Submariner which is one of my grails but my BB58 gets the most wrist time. Proportions are perfect for me..
Lovely to hear another South African loving watches.
I was not taken in by the hype of this watch, I don't follow social media much. The first I knew of it was from reviewers saying how hyped it was and dismissing it. But their voices just diminished to a whisper as I was taken in by it's beauty. After a few months on a waiting list and having people ahead of me drop out I finally owned one. You're right, the pictures don't do it justice. The dial is constantly changing depending on how the light hits it. The bezel, crystal and crown are perfectly matched to compliment it's styling. I have it on the blue soft touch leather which further elevates the blue of the dial and bezel. A joy to wear, it's hard to keep your eyes off it. I will not be selling mine.
thank you for the top quality review. This with my 214270 will be an excellent two watch collection
Wonderful review. I was very close to buying this watch from James. Ended up buying the omega seamaster 300m in blue instead. Wanted better balance with brands since I own the Tudor gmt. Still may end up buying it though. Lovely watch 🍻
Thank you, man. I'm very impressed with the watch. The colour compliments a collection well, but now it's questioning if I'd (We'd) want to own the piece ourselves... honestly, I'm still obsessed by the Rolex Bug... This hobby, man...
@@ID-Guy 😂 I hear ya. His hobby is crazy 😝. I think I will own the Tudor “bluebay” at some point. I love Rolex. But the games these days are exhausting. I’m still waiting on a Explorer from my AD. If it doesn’t come soon I may just buy this Tudor instead.
@@watchesgiggles5659 Still waiting on that freaking Explorer?? That is just ridiculous... honestly... It's nearly been a year!!
@@ID-Guy ugh yes. I’ve had my deposit down since last February. I’m growing tired of Rolex and the games. It’s killing the brand for me.
You’ll love the Seamaster forever. Prince William does.
Another great review thanks brother. I’ve been seriously considering the piece for a few months but I’ll need to get one in hand and have a play. I really like the dimensions, colour and no nonsense attitude that exudes from the design and textures. 🍻
I have to totally agree with you about how special this piece is
Yes, it's cheap but it's so unique
it has a lot of time on my wrist among my daily drive , explore 1 and even patek 5167
it's so easy to read, long power reserve, great accuracy and antique yet beautiful design
Yes, the bezel is not as smooth as rolex
Yes, the clasp is not as crisp as rolex
but it's at a good enough level that you could almost ignore these and just admire the practicality and beautiful design
With this watch, I don't really need to pursuit the unattainable rolex sub
great job Tudor
If they could have BB58 green, I'll be going nuts... (Rolex won't let Tudor do it to ruin his market...)
Although I've always liked the general design and dimensions of the BB58, I wasn't a big fan of the original BB58's yellowish lume and gilt accents. I find the blue version fresher and although it's a little sterile, that also makes it very versatile and timeless. You often hear fans of the original version say that that one is the more versatile and timeless, but I personally disagree. Black is indeed a little more versatile than blue as a dial color, but crisp white lume and white gold markers are way more neutral, versatile and timeless than gilt and faux patina. A Submariner is universally considered as being one of the most versatile watches and it's about as clean and crisp as they come... I do agree with people who find the Blue version a little dull, because I kinda have the same feeling, but it's still an attractive watch. Sadly I'm looking for something in a different color since I have too much blue and black in my collection already...
I have yet to see both in person... But, looking at the photos, I just don't like the gilt accents on the black version of the watch. I wish they made the flat black version. I would literally buy that watch this very second. The blue version is so much more beautiful to me than the black one, because it's simple, two tone and absolutely timeless. The issue is that you have to dress around that watch, which I don't appreciate :/ Blue is just not as versatile as black is.
Going to check out a blue one this Thursday at a dealer, and see if I fall in love with it in person, the way I did on photos. No black version in stock, unfortunately, so I can't see if I like the gilt..
This watch on a Vanguard blue rubber strap is so damn good!!!
90% are bought to be sold? You’ve been lent one by an owner who bought it to keep. Me thinks that percentage was a little plucked from thin air. ;)
I really like that you’ve changed your view. I hope this might remove a little of your “hype bias.” New releases from the big names must get boring for YTers who are talking about them so much. Some of them are just good watches. I thought your initial hot take on the watch was off. In the metal it’s nice to see you’ve changed your mind.
Really worth remembering this when the next “hot watch” comes along.
Okay, okay, not 90%, maybe 85.4% instead ;) And it's great being able to handle the watch after the initial "hype" has died down. It just bugs me how these watches aren't seen as anything but objects to sell (put your money into) by the vast community... the piece loses its magic. It's a damn good watch (I've never said otherwise about the BB58 line) and the colour, for us enthusiasts, makes for a superb supplementary sporty / beater watch in a collection. Thanks for the comment as always, brother
72.6% of statistics are false.
To further the point above, which I completely agree with, it’s not like you make a killing by flipping this watch. You may make at most $800. It’s not like a 2020 sub that can be flipped for $10k. I think ID guy went a little too deep on this - it’s a blue Tudor sub and it’s beautiful. Buy it or don’t buy it
There are dozens of these available on WatchRecon at any given moment. It’s ridiculous
We've all heard the expression "a stereotype is a stereotype for a reason". That's how I view the "hype" around this watch. It's not for everyone, but the hype is accurate and deserved.
The follow up “ Homo Deus “ ties in nicely;) Good , thoughtful review ....as always.
Hahaha! Keen eye there, brother! And sadly, finally finished the Inchmurrin - it's made me appreciate bespoke scotch a lot more. Just picked The Glenlivet and Glen Moray to fill the void, BUT eyeing a few more from your neck of the woods ;)
I appreciate your insight about the bb 58. I think the black version is superior to the navy blue because it’s more versatile and can go with any outfit on any occasion.
FINALLY, someone has properly shown this watch in it's "true color" When looking at this at the AD, it looks flat and almost lifeless under the indoor lighting. This, perhaps is the biggest issue I have with it. However, as I can see now in your video, in real world use with dynamic lighting situations, it does pop and come to life. So, this is great to know.
I like Tudor and I’m torn between the bb58 and the Pelagos. If Tudor could make a smaller Pelagos in steel or put a snowflake dial on the bb58 I would buy it!
Great review, and good to see you can change your mind...
My next watch. Thank you for a great review.
As an owner of the black model, I think the OG has more personality and is more flexible as a daily wear
I feel you on this. As a "one watch" the Blue variant doesn't have nearly as much "character" as the Black. Nicely said, David and thanks for your comment
Personal taste. The blue and silver is more visually appealing to me
I’ll take the blue over the black….as your black dial should be a Rolex…
I love this watch.I wear a suit/blazer 5 days a week (or, at least, used to before the pandemic) so my collection is rather dress watch heavy. It also suits my style. So looking for a sports watch I sought something classic, under the radar, far from flashy or gaudy. And reasonably priced. This piece is timeless, could be worn in 1960s as well as today.
Beautiful and great watch. I have the BB Black (41mm.) and the BB GMT and I'm delighted with both. Because of my wrist size (8 inch and not flat),41 mm. Is better than 39mm. but the BB 58 is really a beautiful piece. Great, very accurate and useful review and you have a new subscriber. Many thanks for sharing.
I think Tudor, as a whole, has listened to the Rolex enthusiasts and is giving us what we want while Rolex moves further into the 'super car' or strictly luxury realm. I like the Blue 58, but there certainly was a ton of hype surrounding it.
Very cool how you’ve come around on the watch. I’m personally not a huge fan of gilt, and as an owner of the ETA BB blue I plan to sell it to fund this.
A huge shoutout to James from Showcase Watches for lending you this watch.
A very nice dive watch with the ever popular blue coloured dial. The lack of crown guards is so nice but, I still don’t like the faux rivet bracelet.
This wouldn’t be my choice of Tudor (I’m in love with the P01) but, would be a close second.
Yet again another great video here my friend. ✊
Another thought out review. The blue eyes bit chimes with me because my BB58 OG is great with brown eyes and olive skin .It has warmth the blue lacks and will not be sold .It also seems to have gone from +2 secs to 0.Keep well
Nice review of a very nice watch. eBay is swamped with these. Seems like almost everyone that got the early releases have put them on eBay in the hope to make a quick buck. Thankfully looks like the hype has been quelled and these are no longer achieving silly money.
Bought this watch on release day, hype was silly but I still love this watch. It’s not getting anywhere.
Woo!
Always great seeing you here, Gel ;)
Thanks IDG for an e excellent review! Thanks to ShowCase, yes he's a great guy 👍🏼 As are you. Keep up the outstanding work!

Great vid IDGuy, so much better than the rest
Phew, that's a big statement, brother! AND it's only been on the wrist for a week... let's see what happens after a month haha!
Got mine!
The end links are solid and not hollow
Here in Atlanta it's still a tough get. But then back four months ago you got me interested enough to try and see one then. Naturally my AD didn't have one. But she did have a Blue Pelagous. I bought it on the spot. It's the tool watches tool watch. I've seen this one since and have no regrets.
The Pelagos is a monster. And it's Tudor's 'Hoorah' - Adjustable clasp, Titanium, HE Valve, Snowflake dial... it's just packed with features. If they could pack the Black Bay with a package like this it would be king of the hill in many respects. Thanks for this as always Robert!
Grrrrrrr. This is what drives me batty about watch companies. I like this watch. No date, check. Blue dial, check. Size, a tad small, but I could live with it. No micro-adjust, like on the Pelagos....fail. Once you've had micro-adjust, you cannot go back.
Grumble Grumble. Just seeing the clasp, all the components are there for an "easy link". Guarantee they'll update this in the next few years. But micro-adjusts are just...heavenly ;)
Mine is a fraction too tight on my wrist. I removed some links and am currently set up in a way that I use the widest micro adjustment holes. I tried adding one link and then going to the tightest micro adjustment, but then it's too loose. Unfortunately, when my wrist expands in hot weather, the watch gets very uncomfortable to wear. My strapcode superoyster bracelet is LEAPS more comfortable, which is pretty sad, considering the price difference..
Tremendous review.
Getting mine These week
I visited an AD to try the 58 and came out with a BB36. I’m so glad that I did. It’s a much nicer watch with a more serviceable ETA 2824. The 58 just tries too hard to be a vintage Tudor sub. so I held off and bought a 1980’s 94010 instead with the snowflake dial. So glad I did!
Another great video IDGuy. Thanks!
I really like the shoes at 3:49... where are they from? Great vid as usual!!
Great video of a beautiful watch )
Still prefer the original and still have this on my "one day..." list. Nice video.
I had the grand grand seiko snowflake on my wrist today. It's a greatly understated dress watch. Temptingly attractive.
Was thinking to get this one but once I saw the Glashütte SeaQ blue dial 39mm - it changed my mind and will wait until my Christmas money to better upgraded myself and get a real high horology diver - Glashütte SeaQ blue dial 39mm 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
Great review - as always. If you could keep the BB58 a bit longer, would be interested in a side-by-side comparison to your Omega Seamaster. Are they equal, or does one overtake the other in certain aspects. However, the 1957 homage may not serve as a perfect comparison as a Seamaster 300, reference 233.30.41.21.01.001 might.
In the next two weeks we'll be seeing all three, the Explorer, Seamaster and Black Bay reviewed together as a "collection" (looking at their specs, sizes, pros and cons) - It should make for an interesting discussion. And thank you as always Reed!
@@ID-Guy Looking forward to it!
For me to buy a watch just to turn around and sell it doesn't make any sense to me....I have not sold a single watch I have acquired in the time I have been in the hobby (6 years). I have the original BB58 and there is no way I plan on selling it. When I first saw the Blue BB58, I wasn't over impressed. However, now its starting to grow on me. I know how it wears on my wrist so the only deciding factor now is do I really like the color......have to wait and see. I'd love to see a BB58 GMT and I'd be all over that.
How you can use clock at the right hand? How you wind, use the knobs?
You should never wind a watch while wearing it
Saw this in person 10 days ago. Very beautiful watch but I eventually decided to not buy it. Too expensive for me right now and I was not comfortable making the decision on the spot (just got off waitlist). The one I saw was also on the NATO instead of the bracelet. The blue really pops but overall the watch has a strong tool-watch vibe. Not flashy enough for my taste (seems almost a bit dull).
I want to get a Formex or Monta and compare it to Tudor.
Monta especially, that would be very interesting. Thanks for the comment Tippy!

Super review, thanks for sharing your thoughts. Any guesses for future releases? Would love to see it in green, would be less sterile maybe
I’ve test driven this watch in an AD and unfortunately was wearing my Rolex Sub at the time. Sub off. Tudor on. Back to the Rolex. Yes I can see the attraction at the price and you simply can’t buy a better watch in the same category at the price. But side by side this was a very unfair fight. It’s relative flaws just outweighed the positives. I’d rather put that kind of sum towards another Rolex. But that’s easier said than done these days. I guess the biggest advantage is that this is the bird in the hand. Its biggest draw. Other than that, it didn’t give me the fizz.
@@WH-hi5ew its a very decent watch and very well made throughout. Any child’s quartz Ingersol Mickey Mouse Disney Watch will keep better time than a mechanical movement but that’s not the point in this game. Letting the watch power down and resetting it is all in the fun. I look at my Rolex watches multiple times during the day and virtually never to tell the time. Get your head around that fact and you’re half way there! For everything else there’s your mobile phone. I say go for it, it’s a beauty. But there’s Tudor and then there’s Rolex. Worlds apart yet under one roof.
Thanks for your thoughtful review. But, I'd have to answer No to its belonging in my watch box for the reasons you mention ie too sterile, too spendy. (But then, that's my opinion of all contemporary Tudors and Rolexes, so no change here for me.)
There's your two watch collection!
I've owned the BB58 black and GMT but sold both. I ended up getting a Pelagos LHD instead. If they made the BB58 with snowflake dial, non-rivet bracelet and a date I would sell the Pelagos and buy that straight away.
Pelagos is gorgeous, but it's so thick (14.3 mm). Also, it kinda bugs me that it has entire bezel lumed instead of just the pip. It creates visual noise, and goes against the spirit of a tool watch.
@@mountainhobo For me having a lumed bezel makes it more of a tool watch. When I dive with it the whole bezel lights up and enables me to read exact elapsed time. The whole watch is function over form which epitomises a tool watch. I do wish it was a couple of millimetres thinner but other than that it is the best tool watch and back up watch to my dive computer in my whole collection.
@@MattSteemson I am not sure I am buying this. Are you saying you are using your watch for diving with the bezel set to measure elapsed time instead of setting the pip to the target point where you need to surface? May I ask why?
@@mountainhobo Huh? The bezel triangle is set to the minute hand and because the whole bezel is lumed I am able to read all the numbers and not just the lumed bezel pip. It's very helpful on night dives. I live and work in the dive industry in the Cayman Islands so I am diving all the time. I primarily use a dive computer and the Pelagos is just a back up and visual aid or timing separate things underwater.
@@MattSteemson "Huh?" -- Try it, so you don't have to look so surprised. Set the pip to the target minute, and you will see the minute hand approach it. That way it acts as a countdown timer. Then you don't need all the lumed indices on the bezel (most dive watches don't have them lumed, except for the pip, of course).
I own the black gold gilt version BB58 and love the watch I would consider getting the blue version also but kind of think it would be a redundant purchase . What do you think?
A lot of reviewers are comparing this model to a seiko diver lol 😂 it is nowhere near close. Love the black bay design
Got it during the launch hype, sold it after the honeymoon period. Just got another a year later. It’s not going anywhere now its just to good.
I am a bit late, I know. But I really enjoyed this video regardless👌
I own the black one. Thinking about adding the blue one as well. Is that weird??
9:58 Out of the 4 watches in that collection, that Oris Heritage stands out strikingly.
Its too little watch for too much money to me. The specs are good. It's just kind of bland. For the money I want a watch with a little more personality. Many people love the BB58, I just don't really see why. Its quite popular. But full disclosure, I've never had it on wrist.
Edit: PS - if it had the snowflake dial it would have been *soooo* much better. Now that's a differentiator.
No BS, it's a great watch. Very well made, performs excellently and flies under the radar in all settings. It has this "sweetspot" charm to it. BUT there are plenty of others out there... I'm debating the thought of owning this, but then, the Rolex Bug still hasn't left me yet AND compromises will never do ;) You need a Hulk Submariner and I need a 1016 on a Jubilee. Case closed! Thanks as always for your comment, brother
@@ID-Guy Oh yeah that hulk I NEED it lol. I love what you do man keep up the great work!
it really is amazing once you get your hands on it. Comfortable, handsome, tough and SUPER ACCURATE! I went a week and didn’t lose/gain a single second against the atomic clock.
Your channel needs to grow man. You should be given the possibility to get your hand on any watch that catches your attention and share your thoughts with us.
Also i miss the old e dubble intro
It would be fantastic to have an inventory to pick and choose from... fully agree. Sadly I don't have any jewellers open to it near to me. BUT building a collection of buds in this space has already helped tremendously. Also thought of bringing the edubble clip back into the intro somewhere (actually have a few samples set aside) ;) Thank you for the comment, man. It's always special having someone here from the good ol' days!
They're the sister company of Rolex, missed a fine opportunity to have that ice blue lime to match the rest of the watch.
Do you know if the black BB give off the same reflection and glow under the sun?
Which is a better buy this or a Longines Hydroconquest? Newbie here about to purchase a watch in Hong Kong. ;)
Tudors are an excellent choice and is climbing in the luxury brands Rolex did good 👍
What is the weight in grams on the sized oyster bracelet?
Is the Seamaster 300 1957 LE more accurate ?
To be fair after seeing this particular watch in my local AD 4 weeks ago I wasn't all that blown away with the new Blue colour variation it just looked like a run of a mill watch to me in all honesty? Maybe its because I own the Blue dial Omega Seamaster 300m since 2018? Yet when I saw the original Tudor BB58 rose gold edition now that just blew me away completely and I was already forgetting all about my Seamaster and I ended up walking out with it on my wrist within 1 hour of walking into my AD! 4 weeks later my Seamaster is still in its wooden box and my new Tudor BB58 has literally gained 11 Seconds since I purchased it. Forget about METAS Omega this Tudor is only COSC certified ?!
I saw the watch add and AD yesterday for the 1st time. This watch is a beauty, and I agree with your comments about how wearable it is. I was surprised how large it looked on the risk for a 39mm.
It’s an amazing watch. Hard to take off.
Can someone please tell me how he got the jubilee to fit snug like that @6:40?
