  • How do you do a Solutions Sketching (also known as the 4 Step Sketch) session if you're running a remote design sprint? In this video Alvin gives us an example of a Sprint Solutions Sketching session using Mural (mural.co/). The Solutions Sketching exercise allows sprint team members to explore ideas in a visual and systematic way. Probably the most systematic UX Design sketching we ever known! The 4 Step Sketch includes: Note Taking; Idea Writing; The Crazy 8s; and The 3 Step Solutions, which ultimately leads you to a solid idea that you can propose or present to your teams and stakeholders. Enjoy the process!

    This is great content. Wondering if you are using iPad for taking notes and sketching? Any tips on how to keep, organised all these to improve efficiency, digitally and physically. Thanks in advance

      Hi Miki, great question. In this video I’m using an iPad to demonstrate notes and sketches. There are so many tools out there that are available and great to use digitally. There is GoodNotes, this can be a great substitute to a physical notepad. Alternatively there is Evernote and Notion that is perfect for you to store digital notes and journals! No matter the tool, the important thing is that you experiment with different filing structures that is optimised for your workflow. Test and optimise!

    how you do 4 part sketches or solution sketches without answering HMW question solution, long term and sprint question solution?
    Can you please explain it? It seems a little bit confuse to me:(

      Hi there Mahid, thanks for the question. On this episode, we exclusively did a video on the 4 Part Sketch (Solutions Sketch). But prior to this step, there would have been other steps like the ones you mentioned (Long Term Goal, Questions, User Journey Mapping, etc.). We created a playlist for you with the videos in the right order: czcams.com/play/PLDodijvPErk9Wh99N0Zztgm4HPzn-l-HI.html
      Hope it helps and thank you again!

    Do you need to do your visual research before doing this exercise...because it feels like you have a compendium of different design in your subconscious state.

      @relabstudios  Před 3 lety +1

      Hi Sesan, this will depend on level of experience and familiarity of the case/challenge. The more you do it and the more you work on similar challenges, your subconscious will also be able to come up with instant thoughts... That’s what happened in my case.
      When you are new to the topic, it’s okay if you feel stuck. It’s normal. The point is to not overthink.
      As a designer, I also always feed myself with inspirations daily. So subconsciously, you’re right.. I might have a bank of visuals already in my head. Whether things that I’ve done or seen somewhere before.
      Hope that helps!

    I gonna be honest!
    You channel is good but I dont understand how you have only 1000 subs even after 100 videos. Maybe you should try some adobe xd toturials on your prototypes.
    Still, love your work.

      Thank you that means so much! Also your input is great, it makes sense... might try some software tutorials and see if they bring any value to the viewers 👍
