I think the Vita is a better true "handheld" construction . It's what I feel an on the go system should be like.

I do feel like DaVita is better in some aspects like having its own internet browser Bluetooth I even like some of the games over to switch games but I think the switch is obviously going to have better graphics and a stronger hardware and since the Vita only has beta ports and PSP and Playstation 1 and 2 ports there's some games that are blowing the PS vitas library out of the water not all I just mean by graphic wise like killzone mercenaries is probably one of the best games with the best graphics on the PS Vita but even if you compare that to a game like Doom on the Nintendo switch the graphics below the Vita out of the water and that's not taking anything away from The veto because the vita is a 11 year old system and it's just amazing that davita's being compared to a newer system like the switch I have both systems and I love them both and let's just certain things I use each of them for different uses like when I can't use my TV and I want to play my PS4 I remote Play with my PS Vita and when I want to have the option to play on the TV or handheld mode I like having my switch
@@erikedward283 Yeah agreed its silly to compare them on power . The Switch Lite is what I use cause I like the portability of it just like the Vita.
For the time period if you moved the tech forward to current specs while keeping the same design I think the Vita would be a winner.
I use my Switch now way more but I still love the amount of stuff the Vita has to offer esp hacked.
Sony really screwd up and screwed their fans.

the vita 1000 uses hall effect sensors, so drift free.
the vita 2000 uses a regular carbon pad with a cooper pin running through it, you can expect drift after some years of use.

Unfortunately, my slim Vita's left stick has a slight upward drift, but it didn't come about until only after around 7 years of owning it. My much older OLED Vita doesn't have this issue though.
Try turn ur vita off and rigorously rotating your stick for 30 seconds each clockwise and counter clockwise, sometimes that makes it work properly again
Yes 1000 joysticks are sturdier
You can use isoprohopyl alcohol, i used it ony cousin's vita and it worked perfectly (you can use normal hands gel but it shouldn't be too sticky or else the goo will be stuck in there)

I have the same aqua blue PS Vita I also have a 3DS and a Nintendo switch and I love all three of them but a lot of times I pick my switch over everything else just because I could play console games in handheld mode and that's not taking away from my 3DS because when I want to play games like Pokemon soul silver and Kirby squeak squad I definitely pull out my DS but also when I want to play games like God of war Ninja gaiden or killzone mercenaries I break out my Vita

Yes it is veeery bad. The joycon Im showcasing is already replacement and it ended up even worse than first one even though i barely played with it

The Vita 1000 will never have stick drift thanks to the hall effect sensors, but the 2000 has potentiometers which can drift unfortunately

You forgot rebinding controls in backwards compatible games.
Even in Vita 2000, it's so easy to open the Vita up and slap a new $10 stick inside. You have to pay $60 for a pair of joycons if one of your sticks gets drift.
Also Vita has the ability to easily create group folders and new pages from the touch screen, no sub menus required.
It's just $5 for a pair of joycons (very good quality) in my country, and we still have the $2 joycons, too. 😅
as if you can't just open up a joycon and slap a new $10 stick inside.

The PS Vita games that still have online multiplayer have invites. I'm mostly working on my current backlog that have online trophies. Battle of Z, Rayman Legends, and Earth Defense Force get grindy.

at 6:20 , you played homm2. you can change the cursor sensitivity using vitashell, changing the config file

I have had my switch since 2017 and vita from 2016. I'm in LOVE with the vita and play it way more often than my switch. I hate the switch in handheld and all my joycons have drift even after taking care and not hitting them once.
Nintendo build quality is far away from sony's in terms of handhelds.
Well unlike my phone or my 2ds my vita does natively record at 60fps
The one thing switch has that vita doesn't: support.
But love my switch and vita.

To be fair, the web browser, PSP/PS1 emulation, and custom themes can be gained on the Switch when they are modded. For what it's worth, the right Joy-Con also has an IR camera 😅
Joystick drift can also be mitigated with Gulikit replacements.
It's kinda funny the Switch has no built-in in microphone despite the popular online games supporting voice chat.
Ps vita fat has good analogs without drift. So good, you will have trouble finding spare one. But i have seen psv 2000 analog ads so i think it may have possible joystick issues. Whereas all switch models have drift problems
Yes psv 2k are more prone to drift but it is nothing compared to the switch drift ratio
I wanted a Switch for my kid's birthday but when I heard the Vita got fully crackead I bought the Vita instead 🤣🤣🤣 massive fun, I play too!

Hey, thanks for the video, keep spreading the Vita's greatness :) I personally like it better than the Switch solely for the build quality already. The Vita (at least the 1000 model, which I have) is build like a premium device and feels very solid in hands. It's a bummer that there were so little exclusive/better versions of games released for it, compared to its predecessor. I'll never forgive Sony about this :(
However, I wanted to make a suggestion that's not about this video, but about your channel's logo... As a Ukrainian, it is impossible to look at that big white Z and not think about the ongoing invasion by out northern-and-eastern neighbour, which is taking many lives of both military and civilians, making millions of people to flee from their (often destroyed) homes or suffer without food and basic amenities. The Z letter, written in imprecise font (as if by hand), is heavily used in Russian propaganda as a symbol of this "special military operation", and is drawn in white on many of the invader's vehicles and armor. So, if you could change your logo a bit -- like making the Z less pronounced or at least in different color -- so that it won't evoke this unpleasant association? Of course, it is your channel and a random dude on the internet (like myself) cannot have a say in what logo you decide to use, so take it as only a humble suggestion, please. Thanks!

I want to say that his logo has nothing to do with politics. You can't just erase Z letter just because someone applied a hidden meaning to it. Cancellation culture is not a good thing. Everyone should be able to use every graphic element he wants to. You may find dick-shaped logos on CZcams, but you are asking someone to not use his *maybe* favorite letter of the alphabet. I'm terribly sorry for what you are experiencing, but this is really not fair.

My suggestion is only to point out that this letter has become a symbol of aggression to Ukrainian people and to many of those in the neighboring countries. That said, I will understand if he won't change his logo. He did not intend his Z to be *that* Z (had it on the logo long before the Russian military started using it). And he has every right to use the letter anywhere he pleases. I have the OLED model as well. Unfortunately I needed a cheap grip because it's not very comfortable in hand... Not that the Switch is either lol. But with the new Binkok Joy cons I just got the Switch actually playable now!
The PlayStation Vita 1000 model have 3G support built in you have to get a SIM card from AT&T because Sony and AT&T had a deal when it's first lunch

I think that could be arguable because yes the 3DS has a huge library when you add the regular DS library with it but when you consider that you can take games like kakarot let's go Pikachu dying light Doom dragon Ball xenoverse 2 saints row la norie Ninja gaiden assassin's Creed 2K GTA 3 vice City and San Andreas dark souls Skyrim Diablo marvel ultimate alliance 3 dragon Ball fighter Z The Witcher Wolfenstein BioShock zombie army need for speed resident evil crash bandicoot borderlands world war Z Spyro mortal Kombat Metro dead by daylight jump Force plus tons of more I'm just talking about actual console games that you can take on the go with you that's not counting all the Nintendo exclusives like Mario Kirby donkey Kong Zelda Metroid I think the 3DS is a great console I still have one but if we're comparing the switch to a 3DS the only thing the 3DS has over the switch is the library but then that could be arguable because the switch library has tons of console games and good graphic games that you can literally take on the go like all the ones I named you take the best game with the best graphics from the 3DS and compared to the best game with the best graphics to the switch the switch is going to be better because the 3DS only has its own handheld ports which the switch has console ports

Yes many of these functions are also available on the modded switch but the more the better😏
switch supports Bluetooth now..they had it for years but decided to add it recently in their firmware update after custom owners developed an app that was adding support, so they decided to oblige common people

To be honest, on my Switch there is absolutely no drift on all four of my JoyCons. Never had an issue with that.
But my Vita had a massive drift on both Joysticks. Just sprayed some contact cleaner underneath the ruberish part of both Joysticks and they turned out to be as newish as possible without changing them both.
Lucky me...
Funny how that works sometimes, I've been using my Vita for 10 years now and it was abused in the first years, no drift at all :)

The longer I think about my Joystick drift, the more I come to the point that a high humidity in certain vacations might be the reason for the drifting. The mechanics under the Joysticks are capsuled, so dust shouldn't be a too large problem.

Only ports as of rn. There are ps2 and ps3 ports of games that work on Vita. For example, MGS3HD is a ps2 port for Vita, and Tekken 6 is a ps3 port to PSP that works on vita

I still wish Sony didn’t let go of ps vita or just the portable market as they brought something different to the table. The success of the psp showed they had the market even though dominated by Nintendo, but they massively screwed up (pretty much all their fault) the vita’s life.
Psp and vita have been what the consoles have been when compared to Nintendo. Nintendo is more on the weaker side, with way more in house games, while Sony had more third party and also a wider age range of games, while being more powerful (and expensive).
I don’t own the switch and have played it. I love it, but I’m not buying it because as combiner as it is to play games on the go, many of them have equivalents or can be played on a different platform even if not portable.
That’s not saying the games on it are bad, many are great (many are not so) but it doesn’t really drive the itch for the type of games I want to play on the go, and that’s cause I grew up with ps and Xbox, and so prefer to play shooters, and action games that don’t always come on Nintendo consoles because it’s not able to run or whatever the reason.
Handhelds are getting way more powerful maybe u can even play your type of games with steamdeck etc

Well, what Vita cannot do? Sell 100 million units.
The Vita is a good device, but it came off too gimmicky. The Switch's only gimmick and selling point is the switching of gaming styles, hence the name. It's much rather a simpler gaming machine and yet selling like hotcakes.
If Sony were to try again, stop the gimmicky stuff. I mean, back touchpad? That's idiotic. R2/L2 buttons would be better. And internal storage should be a must. OG Switch at least has 32GB, then OLED has 64GB. Either way, both models can let users start playing some games. Sony should stop proprietary memory cards and just use Micro SD. Even up to now, PS Vita memory cards are expensive. Micro SD for my Switch 128gb is only $7 to $10 on sale.
