Up until losing his hand, having his children die one by one, and watching the woman he loved go completely mad, Jamie didn't know how to talk to people without coming off as an arrogant cunt.
Tyrion would have fared the situation where Jaime lost his hand, by bringing up the fact that Roose would want him intact because he would have been a bargaining chip when it comes to Tywin, because Tywin's army really wasnt that far from Harrenhall

It's my view that Tyrion was seriously dumbed down for plot convenience in the last seasons. He was no longer the same mastermind.
He made decisions that early-seasons Tyrion WOULD NEVER make. Like immediately trusting Varys even tho previously Tyrion was the MOST careful around Varys cause he was sharply aware how intelligent he was. Or freeing Jaime, knowing full well he would be safer and still alive locked up.

I really can't conflate who's verbal composure and cadence is in higher tier between Tyrion Lanister & Lady Danbury from the Bridgerton series... The former uses it mostly to keep his head in an upheavingly capitalistic manner while the latter does it with so much finesse and flair that you'd just can't help but keep giving accolades for.... It's a tough choice 🤔

Gotta be honest, if she kills him the day she meets him, she probably wins everything with practically loosing nothing. I loved his character, possibly my favorite in the show, but he held her back so much. In this kind of age power rules, kill all your enemies, then rebuild your empire the way you see fit. Her father didn’t loose because he killed to many people, he lost because he had no power.
Restraint is a sign of strength, not weakness. A soldier is one that can kill with no regard for the outcome or the far-reaching consequences of the action. A King or Queen could not rule for long, with a fist. No matter how big it is (dragons XD)
I think the problem was she didn't know what she wanted to be. a kind rule or a strong force having the power to change everything in a blink skipping the tedious talks and politics with one word (Burn) in the end like most rulers it's about the person, not the crown. John snow is a good king not because he was born into it but because he was a good man and others followed.
She didn't have to kill him, the writers did. The lookalike they replaced him with is who kept giving her bad advice.
If not for Varrys suddenly becoming the most useless spymaster in the world, Tyrion no longer saying a damn thing that could be called "smart", Jon Snow going full Retard for a season and a half, and Dany somehow not noticing things like an entire fucking fleet of warships two thousand feet below her on a near cloudless sunny day (the same fleet that miraculously snuck up on her own iron islands allied fleet in the middle of the night and actually rammed the command vessel before any of the watchmen noticed the fucking warfleet bearing down on them, then immediately sailed to the other side of the continent and ambushed the rest of Dany's fleet who had dropped off the Unsullied at Casterly Rock). [you know what, let's just say if not for Euron Greyjoy and his fleet not apparently having (at least until the last 2 episodes of season 8) all kinds of magical powers of high speed travel, stealth, indestructability, and being able snipe flying creatures 2 thousand feet up and four thousand feet away in 2 or 3 shots and from a moving firing platform (WW2 radar directed AA guns couldn't match that accuracy), Dany would have taken the Iron throne rather easily, with the combined forces of Unsullied, Dothraki, Dorne, Olena Tyrell controlled Highgarden, and the army of the North all probably forcing queen Cercie to bargain (successfully) for exile or return to Casterly Rock in return for surrendering and pledging to the new Queen.]
Logically speaking, Dany should have crushed Cersei in like 5 minutes. The odds were so heavily stracked against her. They made Tyrion a bad advisor so that Cersei could remain in the game longer.

This whole thing is offensive to the characters in GRRM's great books. The HBO series was tolerable and even had many good things about as long as it stayed mostly with the books, but DnD are hacks who overreached themselves. Everything after season 4 is garbage.
