Great start by Seville, he was ready, credit to him. But he didn’t destroy Noah by any means. Noah had an uneven start and fell behind, pushed a little in the last twenty meters, but still closed well. Getting to the finals at the Olympics will be a much tougher task than the Racers Grand Prix. So, let’s not get ahead of ourselves. Seville looked great. But in the Olympics he might have to run 9.82 just to get into the finals, and then run even faster in the finals. There is a long way to go.

Just one correction it could not have been 9.70 if he did not look at Lyles at the end,,,9.80 maybe...9.70 is in in Godlike territory if you understand anything about sprinting. Only Usain Bolt, Yohan Blake and Tyson Gaye have ran that fast....Oblique is fast, a solid 9.85 runner and that should assure him an Olympic medal, But to win at Olympics would have to be a 9.80 or faster.

The 100m duel is a high perofmrnace sport and just a small delay or miscalculation could deter your focus and the rest of the race, lets first see how he performs in the next like 3 next races against the titans like coleman, lyles again, tebogo. if he can quiet lyles atleast two or three times, it would be reasonable to say he is a gold medalist contender. but as for now, keep your eye on the tracks. its too early to issue a verdict

And you obviously are not a runner if you don't understand what he met by "not being set...and the gun letting off too soon" I won my highschool championship and went to state because the gun men fired to soon and I and one other racer were ready. The ESPN kid want ready and he lost to me by a tenth of a second. Rob Gilmore was definitely faster than me by at least a second. My advantage was that I was already sitting in the blocks by the time they called set. It's the same thing here. Seville doesn't have top speed so he is relying on a quick gun. He won't get that in the Olympics. Only in his home town.
