First of all, comparing a 19” to a 21” in a head to head shootout shows a level of understanding that even your son probably questioned you on. You can’t fix stupid 2+2 equals chocolate. Second of all giving stars for things that are more similar than different just to apply more stars to the echo takes me back to 1st grade school when the teacher gave special kids a star for putting there lunch in the correct cubicle with there name on it. Third, if your just mowing a normal front and backyard who cares how long it takes to recharge the battery because you will be done mowing until next week and you probably have a second battery for your weed eater you can use if you run out before your done. Lastly, if anything your comparison sold me on the stihl because it’s just as good and costs less and so does the weed eater that uses the same battery over me buying the 21” 510 and weed eater. Thanks
You know the Shill has a 510 model with a 21 inch deck and 1 hour charge time.
The switch on the Stihl is not an on/off switch for the mower. It's for the ECO function. When enabled, it reduces RPMs for short and thin grass. That makes the battery last longer.
....so you're not comparing apples to apples.......Stihl RMA 510 is the echo's equivalent.
On off switch on the Stihl is actually used to set Eco mode on or off.
I went Echo and it's been a great mower so far.
I got a Stihl 512 with a 21 inch deck and I love it so far....Steel deck beats composite all day!
We bought an Echo earlier this year 56v and are very pleased with it
I went with an EGO and it is primo ✌🏻👍🏻
I've had my echo push mower for over 15 years. The appearance is nearly identical to the new one. The only problem is that I have worn the wheel bearings out. This video came up when shopping for replacement wheels. The battery seems to have a fraction less run time than when it was new, but it still lasts long enough to mow the whole yard.
Thanks for the video, it helped me decide which one I want!!
Biased test .why didn’t you compare the Stihl with the 21 “ deck ?
Great video!! Man, what a tough decision! They both look like great options! I would probably go with the ECHO.
Very helpful video. I really like Echo products. I own the gas powered trimmer and blower. I also own a gas powered Airens, the last of the classic professional models. I will likely buy an Echo with the extra larger batteries for my wife as she struggles with the Ariens. I have lots of lawn to go around for cutting. 😀
Thanks for your awesome video, I'm going with echo because I already have the echo weedeater and have that extra 58V battery just incase I need more time.
Awesome job!!!!
Can you do a review of the new 56 volt Echo mower and ope tools ?
That's right 👏👏👏👏👏👍 I'm excited because I own a Echo Lawnmower it is a great lawnmower.
Great video, Mark!
I think I would give the Echo the green star for the individually adjustable wheels; as long as the front of the mower can get closer to obstacles.
