PRIMITIVE MOSS ROOF STEALTH SHELTER - Building A Door To Keep Warm - Bushcraft & Survival Wild Fort

  • In this video at the primitive moss roof bushcraft shelter, I enclose the front by building a 'wall' and 'door' which will keep the heat in...and cold out. I used sticks and moss from the woodland floor and then used a few nails to strengthen the door. In my next video, I spend a night in the shelter to test the improvements. Please let me know any ideas you have for this primitive camp by leaving me a comment in the comments section.

    Love the way this shelter has out to be!! I also think you ought to leave a little space open for some natural light to come in, otherwise you would be in complete darkness. Are you thinking of building a fireplace inside of just using your hot tent stove? Either way, it's a great build!!!!

    GREAT to see a review of harvesting roots to make cordage! Channels sometimes 'do it and forget it.' A SPLENDID solution to the doorway. I always look forward to overnights in your various shelters. This particular one deserves all the care and mossing you might be willing to give it.

    Looks good. I’m glad you closed it in. The door is awesome. We used roots for cordage when we were kids building forts. Had no clue we were teaching ourselves survival skills. Looking forward to the next video. Keep up the great content!!

    When you moss the door, leave the top 16 inches or so open if you don't have any other airflow through the shelter.

  • @viz.on7
    @viz.on7 Před 3 lety +1

    My only suggestion is to make your videos longer, so I can enjoy it more! haha... and if it was my camp, I would probably redone to right side and make it flat for more room, yes it's cozy and warm with this shape, but to see you crawl inside all the time because you've no head space and can't stand up, it hurts my back and legs LOL. Thanks for sharing :)
