What a time we had in the 90s.... Pure irreplaceable music, good times, moral values, pure love ,peaceful moments, innocent gathering with family and friends,arts.....etc
True. It is a very different experience when you can't see behind the curtain. You go and see or experience something not knowing what to expect. Hightens everything. The 90s was like going through a smoky club. Just a much more exciting time(probably same with the 70's,80s, basically anything pre-mass technology). Now With our smart phones, google etc everyone knows the magic tricks before they even go to the show. (metaphorically). The smoke and illusion is all pretty much gone.
Only 18 now, cassettes basically died out when I was 5 or 6. Pretty weird when I explain to my younger sister and brother that so,etching existed before CDs and they don't believe me
+Aperson950 I was only 15 back then, yeah kids these days...I had the same experience too when I had to explain to my niece what they were listening them on my Walkman. I was in a transition period between cassette and CD, I recall it was in 92/93 when CDs started making first appearance in my country but cassettes were pretty much still of use till they completely died out around 98/99. One thing I still missed about cassettes was you can pretty much record anything playing on your fav radio channel right away.
I wish I was older back then to go to concerts.... The live versions of Babylon Zoo give me goosebumps. He is the #1 ever !!!!! Jas Mann aka Babylon Zoo forever !
I remember I found this CD when I was like 10 years old on my mom's collection put it on my PS1 and heard this song getting to my 30s just brings back a lot of memories haven't stopped listening since
@@Ashethetics he was the first guy that ever gave me confusing feelings 😂 I was ten and didn't even know being bi was a thing so it proper weirded me out
People comment on various Babylon vids about Jas not singing live. Its a shame because he really can sing. His vocals with the sandkings were pretty good.
The 60s. When it was about love, drugs and Rock'n Roll. The 70s. When it was about war, drugs and some Rock'n Roll. The 80s. When it was about Drugs, musiccontracts and Madonna. The 90s. When it was about drugs, drugs and some more drugs.
juan gonzalez i agree totally. i just posted on another so called live performance of this and put down i didnt think they ever performed it live. Now im proven wrong. And agree at last a live version.
If I were a spaceman i would go back in time to when i never saw this video. I heard the live vocals were horrible but i did not want to believe it. He sounds like a super-shi**ier Jesus Jones.
I can remember this coming out everyone in the uk brought the single thinking it was the dance track on the starting then played it and it wasn’t! 🤦🏻♂️ listening back it doesn’t sound to bad now 🤔
I'm nearly 48, was 21 when this came out. You're the only one remembering it correctly. \everyone love the dance version from the Levis advert. Then they performed it live on Top of the Pops or something similiar, and everyone was surprised at the.... naff-ness. It's okay on it's own, but the sexy Levis advert with sped up version took it to epic levels.
The year is 2024 and this songs lyrics sums up everything
Still listening in 2020, takes me right back to 1995. Always fascinated by this song
Yep i still love it
Brings me back to my teenage years. What memories...
Hell yes!!
It was on levi jeans advert, but only the high pitched spaceman vocal, later it get released late 1995 early 1996 and went to no 1 great song.

I would say 1997-2007 Nice memories.

Full of suicidal grunge musicians and cheesy eurodance.

jesus christ I was 16 when this song was released and still listen/remember it from time to time
Me too, and I had such a big crush on the lead singer.!

I saw their first live gig and they definitely played it live (three times!).

A unique song, also strong in this live version!
Did he ever manage to get off the carousel?
Or go to space?
Legend has it he still rides to this day.
He never did. Great chorus, shame about the song.
No, still stuck. Thats why they never had another hit.
Classic love it.
These , kula shaker, space and the charlatans were my start with music and guitar! 11 year old geordie boy

Thanks for this great upload... What an amazing track and it's amazing to finally hear it live.
This was not live

The intro is a sample, but once the 'slow' part starts, it is live.

thank you so much for this absolute jem! love jass man he is so weird and awsome
Bellissima canzone ❤
You can hear they play live here and, as a French guy, I knew this TV Show very well, there was no place for playback ! Trust me !
Das war noch echte Musik 😉
