Features from the originals have been included in Tomb Raider I-III Remastered, such as corner bug, glitching and QWOP bug
New features such as Photo mode have been added.
Cheats return but they are not the same as the original console cheats.

Level skip - Step forward once, step backwards once, turn around 3 times counter-clockwise, jump forward
Unlimited ammo and all guns - Step forward once, step backwards once, turn around 3 times counter-clockwise, jump backwards

Level skip - Pull out a flare, step forward once, step backwards once, turn around 3 times counter-clockwise, jump forward

If people are asking why the old cheats/features are still there? The devs literally re-used the same source code from its base games, yes all 3 of them. EDIT: Cheats in NG+ won't work it's made to be more difficult than the other way around.
The Tomb Raider 1 level skip code is definitely different to the original game on the Playstation One
The level skip code in TR2 and TR3 are exactly the same as the original console version
Cheats are disabled in New Game+ as it is meant to more difficult

Amazing feats! I loved the camera one to check levels!
It's just a little extra use for photo mode.
Photo mode also pauses the game since the normal pause button is now being used as a gfx toggle!

I almost feel like its intentional but you can only skip up to a certain point in TR3. The high security compound level as your guns are taken away and your left in prison and you need to equip the pistols to do the cheat. This forces you to get your guns before you can skip the level. Its like the devs knew people would do that so thats their way of punishing you like a cheeky nod!
After the first couple of levels you come to the world map go everywhere before doing Nevada levels.
You don't need the Pistols on the PS4 version as its the same cheat code as the PS1
For weapon/level skip cheats, it doesn't really matter if you turn clock- or anti-clockwise. Either will do. Also, 2 turns is enough.
Everywhere online said 3 turns, but yes you can do it in 2 turns however if the camera is swinging around or your in a place where all 4 wall look identical you may mis-count so 3 turns gives you that bit of extra margin for error.
Quick switch that is amazing, me and my dad were even talking about that ! 😮
It's a time saver really
The amount of times in the original TR1 where I would go into inventory to switch to the shotgun instead of pistols, Press triangle (back then on PS1) to put the gun away. Only to press draw weapon again when I needed them and take the shotgun out and have to go into inventory to switch it out.
Nobody has mentioned the new roll she can do when in the semi crawl stance. Unless she could always do it but it’s definitely new to me
The forward roll after sprinting was always there so I assume so was the forward roll in a crawl/ crouch

No actually. Crouch rolling and forward mantling or whatever you call it is new to TR3. Iirc, the forward jump out of a Crawlspace was introduced in TR5, and crouch rolling is actually a custom move made in TRLE's.
I could be wrong, but I don't recall crouch rolling ever being in classic TR

If you are doing the level skip and all weapons cheat on PS4 the original cheat codes from the PS1 version works you do not need the Pistols to do the cheats that was only required on the PC version
Not in the launch version of the remaster (which was when this video came out) since Title Update 1 the original cheats have also worked. ;)

That level did the same for me way back when I played the original release. Pierre was annoying as I spent ages trying to find where he disappeared to. and the second was all the platforming at the end of the level
All cheats still there. It's the game's original source code
Tomb Raider 1 Level skip code is different to what it was back on the original PlayStation as that was in series of button presses while inside inventory instead of spinning in game.
I'm on Atlantis and 100% completion with all pickups and secrets. But there's one unobtainable item in that level that I cannot get the collect every item in 1 play through trophy. But I heard the developers are on it for a fix so it's better to do a backup save file. Until they fix it so I could reload that section and get it.
Apparently there a few issues with that achievement/trophy
Some people are saying the unobtainable med kit in Midas Palace is now obtainable through a glitch to get to it and that counts... others have said that in Atlantis the unobtainable collectable is some uzi clips that spawn just out the map and also mention that collecting the first secret in this level makes the last secret not count towards your total.
@@TheGameBreakersUK the third secret in atlantis does know count towards youre total secrets collected in that level
6:53 and not just any weapon, must be specifically the pistols. But, just like before, 2 turns is enough and the direction doesn't matter.
In the video descript it does say under the TR3 cheats to Draw Pistols then input the cheats
You can have Lara wear her sunglasses if you hold R1 and L1 through all cutscenes and let go once the level loads BOOM she will have her red shades on only in the remastered version not the OG one

I can do everything you showed in the video about photo mode.. But which key on the xbox controller takes the photo?

Go into photo mode and set up the photo. Close the phot UI with A then press the Xbox button and X to save the photo as a screenshot on the Xbox.
If its on PC using an Xbox controller. again close the UI and just press print screen and save the screenshot.
these cheats originate from the ps1 tr2
Maybe someone can clear this up for me but I think I remember from the PS1 days that once you completed the game (TR1) level select & infinite ammo became available?
The remaster doesn't have a level select
You'll also need to use the cheats if you want infinite ammo
That's a shame, I've recently completed TR1 (remastered) and I was wondering where it'd gone, I fancied replaying some of the levels and collecting all secrets and pick-ups, or trying a bit of speed running on a few of my favourites levels, seems I'd have to play the whole game right from the very start.
...or do the cheats, which unfortunately disables the achievements.
@@pugtronix It is a bit annoying - if your on PC you can download each level as a save and just add them to the save slots in your game
Consoles players have to run through each level again until they get to the one they want if going for trophies/achievements unfortunately
It does, but this time around you get New Game plus, which takes away medipacks, doubles the damage needed to kill enemies, and gives you the original save crystals that acts as health packs as well. That's FOR TR1. I haven't played new Game plus for the other 2
So what is the point of outfits if you cant change in game that stay when you play.
If you are playing on PC you can change them if you move some game files around. I've done a video on it.
Any words on a physical version of the game hopefully coming out?
I have read that there will be Physical copies for the Switch as some countries were taking pre-orders for it. Nothing confirmed from Aspyr though.

@@TheAtvman88 I have just had a look for you (also using xbox controller on PC) and I can light a flare using the quick switch controls "inventory" + RB. What seems to be your problems - If you are quick switching this was changed in the 3rd patch - I did a videos deep diving that patch and its on the channel

@@TheAtvman88 Yes because the quick switching has changed. If you watch the patch 3 deep dive its does explain all of this. If you quick switch you will stop any momentum you have and you can't just keep "inventory" held down
I remember a rumor that the first two Tomb Raider games had a nude code. I am not sure how that rumor ever spread, considering that they are T rated games.
It spread because of how the game was marketed in the 90s. The developers later added the "Shower Scene" to the end of Tomb Raider 2 as a way to debunk the myth.
Does cheat codes cancel trophies?
It doesn't cancel them it should just stop them unlocking but there is one trophy for using the level skip cheat.
Either get it first and then delete your save and start over or get it once you have completed the game.
Theres literally a Trophy for using level skip so how does that work if using cheat disables achievements??? Make it make sense lol
That will be an obvious exception in that case.
Basically lets say you level skip TR1 - Caves , the first level and skip to Level 2 - City of Vilcabamba you can play on as normal however no further achievements can be unlocked in that particular playthrough. So you will need to start a new save

Why would you level skip?
There is no level select on the main menu so you if you want to play a certain level then skip to it and save the game before you start the level.
So I completed tr1 last night and if you start a new game you have a new game + option. What does this do except not let you save
No medpacks are present and save crystals are on the same spot as in TR1 playstation-1 version

New Game+ is Harder, enemies have more health, you have less ammo and its slightly different per game
TR1 - Save only at pre-placed crystals, crystals heals you.
TR2 - Save whenever you want, no healing through a level.
TR3 - Collect crystals to use when you want, crystals heals you.
In TR2 health packs are given as the 3-secret reward for a level replacing weapons and ammo.
In between levels you regain all health, and you may save if you wish.

You're the first person I see mention the quick weapon switch, shall be really helpful, assuming i can memorize the different assignations for the 7 and 8 weapons in TR2 and 3 🤭 thank you so much.
Though you said there's no quick flare in TR3 it does seem to come out when you use the right trigger? so i do wonder which button is the 8th weapon assigned to.
