One of the longest-running animated sitcoms, Family Guyâs Griffin Family has been through all sorts of ridiculous situations, as well as totally irrelevant cut-away gags. The show has undergone a lot of changes over the years. In fact, some of the characters have gotten progressively more evil while others have mellowed out quite a bit. From Stewie dropping most of his world domination goals, to Brian becoming progressively more pretentious, to everyoneâs increasing amount of hate towards Meg. Can you make a as told by Ginger good to evil list ?
There might need to be 2 list's for Family Guy; Current and Old. I only state this as the character's perspective shifts between the older episodes to newer. Older Episodes, Brian would be in the Middle Gray Area range Followed up by Stewie in some respects as he act's more of a father figure to Stewie and act's more like a proper adult trying to do the right thing as Stewie evolves from attempting World domination Evil to becoming Brian's Companion in any crazed Escapade for example. Some of the Evil list entries may remain the same like Quagmire and his endless lust for sex, Carter being more of an ass and Louis having some attention and love for Meg.... Some being my keyword, as in the newer episode, she's treated like a Ragdoll stuffed with cherry bombs, all lit to blow up in seconds.
It just seems to me the show's character or soul shifted from the starting source materials of what they we're evolving from and becoming more of into just crazy antics for the sake of crazy antics of a cheap laugh, interesting story telling with the dog and baby or attempting some grossed out humor or offending humor.... Though there might be little of the Latter as the ugly mouse of Disney now owns fox and them.
I must say 2 things:
A - I think the worst three should've gone Quagmire < Carter < Penelope(less evil < more evil). Herbert should've come before all three of them. I mean, Carter and Penelope are both guilty of mass murder. It might be indirect for Carter, but he has withheld the cure for cancer for 20 years. I would definitely say that's more heinous than any kind of sexual perversion. Which brings me to Quagmire. Who is just as guilty a sexual predator as Herbert, but also much more. Herbert is implied to have molested or attempted to molest children on many MANY occasions. However, Quagmire is CONFIRMED guilty of beastiality, necrophilia, multiple counts of statutory rape, keeping slaves, being quick to anger/resort to or suggest violence, rampant hypocrisy, general sexual assault, I think incest, and I'm pretty sure even murder on a couple occasions. All while spreading disease and leaving fatherless children wherever he leaves dna or germs behind. Worse yet, he is openly remorseless and sometimes even shows pride in his incredibly long list of misdeeds. He really should be locked up 100 times over.
B - I think a large number of heinous crimes were omitted from the misdeeds of some characters so there are a few I'm sure should be lower on the list. I think Lois, Bonnie, Adam West, Tom, James Woods, and (as much as I love him) Stewie belong lower than where they are. To the contrary, I think Cleveland, Ollie Williams, Babs, Kevin, Brian, and the Koolaid Guy all got a bit shafted on their placements. Brian is the least defensible out of those characters, but his crimes consist mainly of infidelity, sabotaging others to get ahead, being a sellout on more than one occasions, and lying to make himself look good whenever the opportunity arises. As far as I can remember though, he's never been guilty of any crimes that were violent or life-ruining. Also, I don't think it's fair to say he slept with Meg. As all they did was kiss once before she then harassed, assaulted, and kidnapped him. Which would've turned into rape if she hadn't been stopped. Regardless, I do understand why so many crimes were passed over. If you went through every character's worst deeds then this video would be twice as long.
Also, I must admit that I'm pretty hard on the cast of Family Guy simply because of the way the writers have bastardized them so. From season 1 to now I have completely lost interest in the show and Quagmire has gone from being tied for my favorite character w/ Stewie to a character that I hate listening to for more than a couple minutes at a time. The hypocrisy is a big part of what bothers me. For instance, shitting on Brian for hitting on Lois (his best friend's wife) while doing the same exact thing with Lois more agressively and actually having slept with his own best friend's wife!

l think Chris deserves to be above her because keep in mind, Chris was good in all his relationships and even helped Isabella with her kids while Meg gets completely obsessive over her relationships (Brian, Joe, the guy who was interested in Chris, etc)

I would rank Brian a little higher considering he was willing to sacrifice his own life to save Peterâs life and the fact he is more level headed than most of the characters. I would rank him on the lower end of the grey area, right around where Stewie is.

My only problem is the final three evil characters. I would make it herbert, carter l, and then Penelope.
Because herbert may be a predator, but he doesn't kill people. Carter who has hid the cure for cancer technically makes him responsible for many deaths, and Penelope unlike herbert and carter, she is a global threat who destroyed several landmarks and killed millions.
Iâd say the most evil should be Bertram, then Penelope is 2nd.
In my opinion, the O.G version of Lois was a better mother than the new version of Lois. In the episode where Meg got humiliated at a party Lois knew it was gonna happen so she had a back up plan that involved Quagmire.

I feel like jerome is a completely underrated character. Like he was really nice and understanding towards peter. I mean he did beat up peter but he had a good reason.

Surprisingly, he does sometimes have good intentions, at one point having surgeries take place outdoors since the weather was pleasant. Granted it wasn't a good idea, but it shows that he does try to make things more pleasant at times.
I'm disappointed that you didn't include Death on this list. He's such a great character and I'm curious where you would place him, being Death and all.

Jillian is the purest in my opinion. She's beautiful, and although she has the mind of a piece of paper, she's incredibly sweet. And while she lacks normal common sense, she knows when to stand her ground, such as when she didn't take Brian back. She knew that he blew his chance with her, and that she belonged with Derek because he loved her for her despite her flaws. This is why she's my favorite family guy character. Well her and Stewie are my favorites.

Joe Swanson is the most honorable law respecting hero cop in Family Guy. Despite having occasional anger issues with yelling from time to time. I still think Brian is not in the evil category because he does have some morals. He is willing to speak out about what he thinks is right, even when others donât agree. He is generally pretty helpful when others are down, and was even willing to give his own life to save Peter when Peterâs kidneys failed. I think Brian lands in the lower end of the grey area considering he is a pretentious, arrogant, a**hole, but I feel that is to compensate for how depressed, and self-loathing he is. I think he is just a really complex character that has a lot of flaws, but he seems to be pretty self aware most of the time.

I think Vinny should be closer to the top (probably bronze medal at the highest) because he was a positive role model in the family, something that no one else really inhabits. Not to mention, he willingly let Stewie travel back in time to save Brian despite knowing that he [Vinny] would end up back in the shelter, never to be met by the Griffin family. That kind of sacrifice is nearly incomparable (please comment if you find anything comparable), similar to Kenny in "Bigger, Longer, and Uncut," when he agreed to let everything reset despite knowing he'd go to Hell.
Honestly, He should be the golden medal of the Good part not that abomination dad of quagmire.

I mean, Joe has always been good, with a few flaws.
If the Griffins were still like their old personalities, then Brian, Lois, Meg, and Chris would be on the good side, Peter on the neutral side, and Stewie would be the only evil one. Unfortunately they've all changed from good to worse.
