- We have never seen somebody break this many parts in the span of three days. Something even more impressive is that we have never seen anybody REPLACE this many parts in three days! CJ has been chasing a 7 second pass in his manual STI for years now and they REALLY sent it in this video!

In defense of the brand, this car goes 0-145mph in 5 seconds. Things are bound to break.

Anything AWD stick shift that runs those kinds of numbers will have broken parts regularly, ask any Evo or DSM owners who do quarter mile racing lol
Using a trash can to fix a subaru, you can't make that up.

the feeling of a 3 mechanical diff driveline launching is insane, and that system is superior to evos on the strip, and more durable in that sense

Only reason 3000gt diffs don't break is because the car doesn't run.

I was just teasing, but 3000gts are a mechanical nightmare. Twin turbo, AWD, 4ws, active aero, active suspension, etc, etc. A lot of them ended up rotting because they simply had too many complicated systems to keep running for 99% of people.

Imagine how hard getting Leroy into 7s was like with reliable setup. This really shows how hard it is to get that last bit to be one of the few with stick shift vehicles in 7s
Best video you have done for a bit and of a great group of guys. Worth every minute, this could have been and hour long and I still would have loved to watch them go through that weekend. God Bless!

Once you guy figure out your suspension- 7's will be second nature.The amount of pressure on your drive train when the wheels are bouncing on n off the ground are 2-3times the torque. It's also cool to see iag engine making it to the top.I remember when they first started out(9 miles from me).The big guy with the pony tail(at a quick glance)if anyone old school knows what I'm talking about-you know-good going guys-we all feel for you.YOU'LL GET IT
Billet EVERYTHING at this point and you'll get that reliability but a clutch slipper will help getting out the hole smoothly, sick build man, im about to shoot for 8's with my evo, its always a want for more 😀
And cryogenic treatment and WPC treatment. Also I would get it to 2.2 liter or there about, those EJ25s like to go boom :|

Armchair warrior here, I feel like he could benefit from a longer 1st gear. The thing has plenty of power so it'll still run hard outta the hole, but it'll give him more controll and less time bouncing off the limiter. Car looks great man! Keep up the hard work man

I tried this myself and I ran my best pass on a 234 run, and run 4th out very long with no limiter.

@@IcySTi this is my car in the video, I have been racing subarus a long time and know a few things about them. As far as bader built, his engines break before they complete single passes when they are turned up to this level.

I am actually very surprised that 6 speed holds up to 1300+WHP along with the 5 year old axles/diff/driveshaft. Like dang, when they say the 6 speed is bulletproof, they weren't kidding.

This is only a stock case and center diff. The gearset is a PPG v2
First time I seen CJ's car was in a 1320video when it was a stock block 7 years ago. It's come a long long way since then.

I just got mine above 500 last year, sadly the local track has been closed cause people are fighting over the track. Hopefully I get to run it soon!
