    Could I ask one more question, please? When I'm printing I'm finding the ink is too thick on the paper. Wet to the touch. I've tried the different pass settings and changing to thinner substrate settings still have the same issue. I've tried different paper rolls. In particular, it's the black ink that's the problem, when I print lighter jobs it's not too thick.
    Some background on the machine; it stood for 2 years. I removed the ink cartridges that were in it, and I washed them out thoroughly with water initially and then with distilled water. I then refilled and did 5 deep cleans to try to run the fresh ink through the system.
    Since I purchased this machine second hand the local technicians are not being too helpful.

      Hey Wayne, no problem at all, I have one trick that I am hoping will help, you can adjust the ink density through the printer drivers in the control panel, if you can get to printing preferences you can then go to the advanced tab and select advanced media control, from here it will give you the option to adjust either the color or black density setting up to a max of +/- 50%, in your case of course reducing the black should yield better results, hope this helps

    Hi! What are the best settings for deep blacks with program Epson Edge. I have an Epson F571 printer with fluo colors.

    • @ImagingSpectrum
      @ImagingSpectrum  Před rokem

      Hey! Essentially the best settings for a rich black can be achieved by using the Pure Black settings box in the color settings window, as it will try to mix the colors to create the deepest black it can achieve. Hope that helps

  • @SYKOK1LLER
    @SYKOK1LLER Před rokem

    I've been having trouble with tumblers and the black coming out a dull, washed out grayish color. How do you get black to print black? Does Pure Black under RGB solve that? I've been checking Black Point Compensation but same problem.
    Also, what is the point of having options for CMYK up top? I don't see a change on screen if I mess with those and it's confusing since the printer uses CMYK and the monitor is RGB.
    I have something set wrong somewhere and can't figure out what it is. These are with images from places like Etsy where the black comes out bad.

    • @ImagingSpectrum
      @ImagingSpectrum  Před rokem +1

      Hey, thanks for watching and hoping I can help here. If you are trying to achieve a deep black I recommend not using black point compensation as that is better suited for photographs to enhance the shadow details. Instead you can try creating a rich black in your design, which would be something like 100 K, 50 C, 50, M, 50 Y or if using a graphic that is already complete selecting the pure black mode will try to convert to a rich black without having to manipulate the artwork yourself. On the topic of CMYK and RGB, it really depends on what color space the graphic was originally designed in and Epson Edge will automatically use the appropriate option (CMYK or RGB). You are absolutely correct that in the end it will always be converted to CMYK for the inks, but that is essentially the process before it goes to print.

    Hi, thanks for the video.
    I'm printing sublimation and as we know we print mirror, but I want the file name to appear in the right format and not mirror like. How can we fix this;

    • @ImagingSpectrum
      @ImagingSpectrum  Před 6 měsíci

      @Kyriakos-qx8ff Do you mean that you are printing a file name on the transfer paper? If the print is all one graphic than the software will mirror the whole graphic. You would have to make the file name a different graphic and add it in well nesting the jobs but unmirror it. If this is not what you are talking about than please provide an imaging of what you are talking about.

    when we first started using Edge Print last year, we had no trouble with png files. Now the past couple months, i'm assuming after an update, when we print png files with a transparent background on top of a color, you can see the box around the png file. . weird that it went from working fine to doing this. any suggestions?

      @ImagingSpectrum  Před rokem

      Hey James, thanks for letting us know. That is interesting, I am assuming when you bring in a standard png the transparency remains? Is the box a specific color when it shows up? I've just installed this and I am struggling to figure out how to print a number of prints. I need it to cut after each print. If I add number of prints it simply duplicates the artwork on the page. I need it to give me the option to print the same page 10 x. I hope I'm explaining this correctly. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

    • @ImagingSpectrum
      @ImagingSpectrum  Před rokem

      Hey Wayne, hoping I can help. If you import those as separate jobs you can set the auto cut to "cut per job" under the basic settings tab, so after each is finished it will cut and prepare the next, assuming you are working from a roll. If it is the same job repeated I would recommend setting up the first job exactly how you like then right clicking and selecting copy. Make as many of these as you need. You can then set the auto print on the top right to "on" to automatically advance to the next job. It should print, cut, and continue until all the jobs in the queue have been printed. Hope this helps!

      Yes, there is Mac files on the site to download, you get to the end and no icon or program to fire off of. The EPG files load like normal, so it looks like they started to do a Mac version of the edge print, but never finished it. I lost 3 days and several hours of -pulling my hair out on this. Poor website exposure not saying this or posting up that it’s PC only (at least something). WTF is wrong with them to not clearly state this or at least take down all the .EPG Mac install files that will take you to 99% completion. Not happy as u can tell :(.
