Hi Alex Great vlog. I've been coming to Hotel Sur since 2018, we absolutely love it here. Entertainment is fab, as is the atmosphere. The family who own it are lovely people, I think a couple of times we had them dancing on the floor. I would highly recommend this Hotel to anyone.

It seems a shame to be doing away with well run budget options. Not all budget travel is necessarily for the 18-30 crowd. Love the content, Alex. Excited about my first trip to Majorca in nearly 10 years! Far too long!

Loved this video, I stayed here only a few weeks ago from 16th -23rd May. I'm a lone traveller and it was the first time I'd stayed here, I'm already saving to go back next year, as u said both the staff and the people staying there were so very friendly, and there were many other lone travellers so I ended up making loads of friends. Excellent hotel, would highly recommend, and thank u for the video ❤, can't wait to go back in 2025 !

Thanks for showing us around this hotel, Alex. I can't believe it's only a 2 star as it looks really modern and lovely and clean. I stayed in a 4-star hotel on the island, but it was nothing special.
Same. I once stayed in a hotel in Paguera, which advertised itself as 4 star on the. English booking sites, but a 3 star on the German one, identical room layout and breakfast choice. The safe key was so flimsy I was afraid of breaking it, and the fridge was barely cool, but I guess I paid premium for full beach/ sea view from my balcony, cheap it wasn’t, even for September. lol
Me too!! This was definitely better than a 4star I had been to!
@wideawakerealist2141 I'm pretty sure hotels get more stars for the views, which in my opinion aren't needed when the sea is metres away!

@@romatennant9993 I didn’t mind that, because I’d rather sit on my balcony overlooking the beach and sea, with a coffee ..but my room hat no coffee maker, which is a bit of a nuisance having to go downstairs or across the road to get a take out and unable to get one after 10pm or early in the morning. Last time though I stayed at upmarket hotel where coffee/ cream and water were replenished twice a day, got a good deal which cost little more than the first one, which was definitely not a 4 star, though nice enough .
What a great idea to look out a 2 star hotel, it looked really good & the food looked absolutely fine. Good to see that Jet2 go there, so it's possible to do a package. Thanks Alex, good to see that you and many others enjoyed it.

Good and fair review I'd say. Definitely looks better than a 2* accommodation. I'm visiting Cala Millor in September and booked a 3* hotel - hotel Ilusion Vista Blava amd I'm a little worried now having read some reviews, however if it is as bad as some say I will just make the most of it and thanks to your videos I'm still looking forward to my holiday as the area in general looks very pleasant. Thank you for the informative videos 😊

This was a great concise review of this hotel, well done. We always stay in a 4 or 5 star hotel and to be perfectly honest we don’t use half of the facilities. This hotel had a bit of everything, I was even surprised it had a pool let alone a gym, which we never use on holiday. But yes it looked really nice and clean, let’s face it most of the time you’re out exploring. But I would definitely stay there. Thanks Alex.

That was a brilliant video Alex. What a great idea doing an overnight stay and a hotel review. I still can’t believe that it is a 2 star hotel. I’ve stayed in 4 star that were not as nice.

Hi Alex, an excellent review and like you said the rating is low. Given a good summer season and a mantainance of standards a three star should be given. Would love to see a review of the Protur Bonaire in Cala Bona, I stayed there many years ago. Have a great week!

Morning Alex the food in your hotel looks so much better than what I've got on offer it's the same every morning and the bacon wouldn't touch it and we have to pay for the wi fi it's an hotel that I wouldn't return to the alua cala de mallorca was amazing last year in staying at the cala romani the ac doesn't work but I've enjoyed the resort have a great day😢
Pay for WiFi !! No way !! That would keep me from booking ! Have a lovely time - at least the weather is good and the resort is full of fab restaurants too !

@@MallorcaUnderTheSun Am out of hospital now, had to have fluid drained off my lung which was pretty nasty. Am on antibiotics now for 6 weeks. 😕

I've stayed here many times and other than it can get a bit rowdy, when the football is on, you can't fault it for a budget hotel. Although, I will say that due to the costs involved in staying elsewhere in Majorca, it's increasingly hard to find availability there, because it's so reasonable. Interesting though to see your point of view. Thanks again Alex. 👍

A 2 star OMG this to be up graded. Last year. we stayed in santa ponsa at the H10 CASA DEL MAR. All i can say is this is miles nicer than that. The CASA DEL
MAR has NO entertainment day or night. Fantastic video once again, Alex 😊

@MallorcaUnderTheSun check it out. It looks amazing outside cost us a fortune but terrible hotel and rude staff. Santa ponsa, beautiful place 😍. We are coming palmanova in September we have never stayed here before been for a day while in santa ponsa loved it 🤞its nice hotel.
We have just come back from salou stayed at hotel olympus Palace it was stunning. Entertainment every night, something for everyone of all ages perfect for disabled people, had mobility scooters. Everyone was catered for. it was the best holidays we have had in a long time. All spain is beautiful. It definitely has our hearts 💕

Hi Alex excellent video we’ve just come back from Cala bona we stayed in the ferrer Isabel 10 minutes up the from the sur we’ve stayed in the Sur but the Isabel is much better check it out

Great video! We're staying at the protur floriana in two weeks time and just advised today about solar panel installation 50mtrs away. Are you aware of how bad the noise is? Im really surprised that there would be any kind of building works in the height of the summer months. Thank you again for the video. ❤
Hello! Oh, I didn't hear about this... I'm unaware of what kind of noise this will cause unfortunately. Have a chat with the hotel and your tour operator... it may be worth moving if you feel it will disturb your holiday... (ps. I'm also surprised with the building works taking place this year!)
Thank you. Our tour operator can't give us much information but we can move to other hotels for an extra 2/3k!! The hotel hasn't responded to my email yet so I'll await their reply before deciding what to do. Many thanks again.

The hotel sur is amazing, Alex. Deserves more then 2 stars for sure. In hotel holiday rep is a must as well. The exchange rate should be at least 2 euro to the pound but at least you were living the high life as always. Did you have to pay tourist tax to stay overnight, just like us peasants? 😀
It’s mad that residents have to pay tourist tax when we live here ! If definitely deserved more stars too !

Hello sleeping beauty who over slept Lol,but I think it looks a lovely hotel I would stay there,but it doesn't matter if you stay in a 1⭐ or a ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ hotel they have all got something in common with eachother only having five or six hangers in the wardrobe 😂
How many hangers do you need for shorts and t-shirts?
