@@DocLeQuackThis thing is fast AF for 8.3 and it could fight m48 and t54 back in the days which has slow turret traverse and unstablize so you can't aim at weak spot like at all.
From the front, the engine just absorb all damage fsr which is merkava's wet dream. Even if you shoot at it's side, the era just eat darts for breakfast even if it shouldn't have.
On the other hand, 10.0 and end of line just kill this thing. I think it could be 9.7, this thing looks cool and it's sad that basically on one plays it now.
When you finally get a Nuke until someone ruins your moment and it happened to be a friendly out of all the other enemy players at 9:08

i once had a dude spawning in a jet on the AF with me (was in the Nuke bomber) he then followed me and at around half the way in he then shot a AIM9G at me. No enemy in sight. Fuckin hate these c*nts

I remember fighting this thing in my T32 and M48 when it first came out, just oppressive. Very funny it's now the same BR as the 2S38
2s38 is easily an 11.0+ vehicle, but statistics says it stay at 10.0 totally not cause they can milk the players for more cash

@@YourGodStalin That's not really true, there are a lot of under br'd vehicles in game. And the majority of those happen to be premiums, that's just because the statistics on them are trash due to low level players and it makes Gaijin money.

It needs Spikes ASAP, especially on big maps, the 30mm APDSFS doesn't work to well a long distances(even though the current state of spikes still better than nothing)

it seriously need its AHEAD belt fuze automatically updated like the real thing, along with dmg buff to its 30mm (also applied to other 30mm user like the kf41) and the soft-kill APS working like the real thing, aka 360 deg coverage, not 70deg to the face
oh and b4 i forget, its barrel need to be immune to small arms fire (5.56mm and 7.62mm, mayyyybe 50cal?) becuz as of now u can literally disarm the thing by machinegunning its barrel, which considering that other autocannon user dont get this debuff is complete bullshit
oh and the spall too, side shots generate a shitload of spall for some reason, enough that even if u poke its empty ass out, a dart firing at it can spall into the supposedly hidden crew like what in the actual f. If the 2s38 can get 0 spall on sideshot i see no reason this thing cant, but i guess since its not premium it doesnt apply
@@MAGA-iw3ki is simple I want more options in the tank, there is not reason to not give puma spikes, you still could use the 30mm you're not taking anything from the puma just adding something, have more options to fight

@@JackyC0124 I would rather fight a King tiger in a short barreled 75 Sherman than a 2s38 in a mbt. I bounced 3 times off the "turret/gunbarrel" with my leopard 2a4 yesterday.
I was in the middle of researching the last tier of modifications for the PUMA when it was moved to the end of the German light tank line. I close the game one day have 3 modifications left each costing like 8 700 RP and then the next day they cost 27 000 RP

@@haruka0002 i say its a hard vehicle to use cause of its additional armor ,makes it big .Also the apfsds isnt that great compared to the 2s38 or hstv .Yes i know their caliber is way larger than the PUMA which uses a 30mm .Wish the PUMA had a slightly bit faster fire so it would kill these light tanks faster 😅

It got the nerfhammer too hard man, i agree it was too strong at first but a BR increase would've sufficed.
It essentially went from a survivable and capable IFV, to with what i consider the most unreliable ammo/gun and inconsistent armor/survivability of any vehicle i own.

It's a fantastic support tank, amazing for team play as you have the entire kit for supporting your team in any way with top efficiency; high speed for helping with repairs, light tank status makes support repair faster, drone with Gen3 thermals, a remote controlled turret, scouting abilities, and enough armor to not have to worry about .50s and many autocannons from the front. It is my go-to vehicle for team support
But it is not an MBT, which is how people keep trying to use it, and usually fail miserably

Man autocannons do no damage to russian ammo I swear. Even with the begleitpanzer firing full caliber 57 mm rounds straight into the ammo you have to put at least a few rounds in to get it to pop. And then the side era that's just those bags that are only supposed to be for rpgs and shit just eat autocannon rounds too

currently im using the puma on my 11.7 lineup and it suffers so bad, it really needs 30mm of pen more to be able to deal with stuff and go for breaches.

Honestly at 10.0 it faces a lot more light vehicles, and it's better at flanking. The back in the day's 8.3 was the good ol' drunk Gaijin like 7.7 Vidar...

With the current state the PUMA is in it should never have been moved to 10.0. It was fine at 9.0 and while I don’t really struggle to much playing it now there are still loads of issues that should have been resolved before moving it up. If it is going to stay at 10.0 then it needs all it at least most of its 100’s of bugs fixed. Its armor should be like 2 or 3 times stronger than it is now. The AHEAD shells need to be fixed and made to actually work the way they are supposed to. And I do t care if they “suck” it needs SPIKE ATGM’s badly having any missiles at top tier is way better than having none at all.
There needs to be a no missiles version at 9.3 and then another version with the spikes at like 10.0 or 10.3
I really don't see a reason to only have one version of the puma. Why not both?
The PUMA, a prime example how Gaijin excuse themselves on why it shouldn't have spike missiles but don't hesitate to give another country the most modern German ifv with spike

I could see it at a mid 9 BR. It does the same role as the Bradley but without the ATGM.
The Bradley falls short in mobility . In addition, the puma has target tracking. (I don't remember if the Bradley 10.0 Br also has tracking)

One tip for those that want to play the Puma, Use the UAV (it has thermal!) and bring a cannister belt for heli (dont rangefind, just shoot with no timer) because it has better damage in light vehicles and has no tracer.
The HE belt is noticeably more effective than the AHEAD, but yeah make good use of that UAV it certainly helps
With the amount of public info in the AHEAD ammo i still dont know how gaijin fucked up so badly...only explanation is on purpose...
EDIT: Rheinmetall literally let you download a PDF explaining how it works with range and how it spreads its fragments from like 9m2 to 39m2 and has an effective range of 12 mf Kilometers...
@@M0LOCK the reason they fucked up is because they didn't even try in the first place. They literally just recycled the mechanics of preexisting HE-TF shells and applied them to a shrapnel shell. In no way did they even try to model AHEAD correctly. Hopefully one day they will try to actually model it :/
@@M0LOCK They deliberately took away the HE VT (which is the closest substitute you can get to the AHEAD ammunition). They could have left that in. The nefted the range which PUMA can lock up a heli with IRST.
The easiest way to implement the AHEAD ammunition is that with the IRST lock, you can automatically set the rounds on detonation with where the shell will meet the aircrafts or airborne targets. Damage model is just even easier, bring the HE VT over and rework that (Density of the shell increased, damage on each pellet remains the same).
Right now, the devs set the round to explode right BEFORE the lasered target and all the pellets disappeared immediately. There is no inherent momentum or Kinetic Energy for the pellets (i'm not even sure if they even modeled in the pellets).
I have a theory that Gaijin did this so that the 2S38, the answer to everything from Russia, can continue going on in sales (or just get ppl to buy GE and get them) on the coy of balancing. Sure the PUMA was crazy strong at 8.0 but make it 11.0, 12.0, we dont care, as long as it gets the AHEAD ammunition done right.
@@siegfriedduong2218 exactly! thing has 150 steel rods travelling at 1000m/s but i mate a test with a friend and thing just explodes in front of the enemy and u just get "hit"...thing is suposed to cover a 40m2 wide range but in WT is like you said they dont even exist...i rlly dont care about increasing the Puma br ,i already use it in my 11.7 line up...

rework the ammor make the ahead ammo usefull and add spikes to other atgm´s on it and make a real aps on it and you got your self an better ifv then it was before .

There is a weird bug with puma happened to me: once i was hit in ammo and it burnt out, so i was going to refill it on a point. When i refilled it, i've shot couple times with weirdly long reload (2 or 3 seconds) and after couple shots reloading became even longer. It was freaking 4+ minutes to reload a SINGLE shot. Too bad i didnt record this
I take this thing to 12.0 matches, with a bit of luck you can do really well in it.

and improve fire rate give insane missile performance and so on ... i have over 70% win rate with my russian tanks even tho i love to play other vehicle like abrams leos and challys but if i want some ez grind for events or a bit of SL farm i just stomp with russia till nothing is left
i have an higher win rate in russia then germany and i dont even play russia for 3 weeks ( and i can say its absoult an shit show how many side shots i survived or how an round just kills the gunner or comander )
