Making quick and easy scones in the air fryer - our first real air fryer recipe!

Hi all
We have been experimenting with our air fryer since we got it, trying out different new recipes. Today we have a simple scone recipe for you to also try out! We have been finding that getting the timings correct can be tricky but nothing a little trial and error can't fix!
Ingredients
175g self raising flour
2 tbs castor sugar
50g salted butter
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1/4 cup sultanas
100ml milk
extra milk for brushing scones
Serve with jam and cream or butter and cheese

Yes I think what we’ve been finding is that it takes some tries to get it 100% right. For this recipe we did a batch at 180deg and 15 mins. We found them to be too crispy so we adjusted the temperature down to 170 deg and kept the time at 15mins for the video and it worked perfect. Pranesh says it’s like his chemistry practicals where you do a rough titration quick and fast and then do the 3 more accurate runs.

Yes once you have the timing and temperature down it’s very quick to make a batch. Bigger quantities may still work better in the big oven

Normally, when making scones, the rule is not to handle the dough much. I noticed in your recipe that the dough was handled quite a lot. Was the end result a soft and light scone or was is somewhat dense, no judgement, but an honest question. I will give it a try at some point,however, minus the raisins as i dont like them
