  • This is the second installment of the 020 SP chassis conversion series. In this video I go over my new front end setup & give my brief thoughts on the Eagle Racing products (spoiler: They SUCK!!). I also have the rear end assembled, but I did not realize until after the video that my rear axle is installed backwards (I realized when installing).

    Sucks you arent a fan of the parts, it looks super nice haha. I am currently building my MA-020s at the moment and your channel has been a great help. I ordered a front one way but no one in the states had one so im stuck waiting for JP shipping.

      thestreetzking thank you for subscribing & im glad my videos are helping you out!
      Regarding the front one way, you should have hit me up. I could have sourced one in the states for you, there are plenty of US distributors, you just have to know where to search.
      I purchase 90% of my parts through Kennon Hobby, and the rest from Nitro Hobby or eBay.

      @@BMR3 kenon is where I bought most of my stuff, I searched for an entire day online, literally every single mini z part website I could find, no one had one in stock. So I had to order on ebay, it was a great price though, it was the same as if it was on kenon, It says it should arrive next week, im hopeful haha

      That’s the thing about ordering from Japan or China, the price is cheeper, but I always ship EMS(so there is no hassle) so I end up paying more in the end. But sometimes you just gotta order order overseas, nature of the hobby I guess.
      I just wish M’s racing would produce more differentials so I could put together an order for CS gears from Japan

    Welcome. The film shows that you have the rear of the car sold on aluminum parts. Is it worth doing? Is it enough if I mount only Rigid Axle and all the rest will be standard or plastic. The same with the front of the car mount the Front Oneway Unit and all the rest should be factory.

    • @BMR3
      @BMR3  Před 4 lety

      ado gde I only upgraded the rear end to aluminum because my stock plastic rear end broke. You don’t need to install this style rear end. Just a solid rear axle will do you great

    I do like the eagle adjustable shocks. have had enough issues with the atomic ones that i plan to swap them out. if you didnt go with the DWS you may not have looked at them yet.
    but have to agree, have had so many fitment issues with eagle, either all eagle or in combination with stock parts

      Garage Mini RC UK yeah I’m going to work on a review on the Eagle Racing parts soon. I think they can be saved, but it will take some work to get the to play nice with my swing arms.
      I was shocked at how lose the suspension arms were, they literally popped off the knuckles ball joint when just trying to install them on the frame. It was crazy, I couldn’t believe how lose the fitment was...

    Welcome. I'm browsing the drift tire store.
    What size to buy? 1.DS Racing MiniZ LF-4 - 11mm wide
    2.DS Racing MiniZ LF-4 8.5mm narrow. Write which one to choose. And one more question. After installing the Front Oneway Unit and Rigid Axle, should any changes be made to the car's settings for better performance

    • @BMR3
      @BMR3  Před 4 lety

      ado gde the tier width depends on what size rims your car has. My cars all have narrow rims so I contacted DS Racing directly through email to place my order so I could get all narrow tiers. Normally I think the tiers are sold in packs with two narrow and two wide in each pack. You can get both to be safe, they are pretty cheep.
      Changing the cars settings really is dependent on your driving style. Personally I really like to put harder springs in the rear, it will make the car oversteer better when your mid corner. Another thing you can look into is the front tie bar, I like to go -1 on the setting. This should help the car oversteer a tiny bit better. But like I said, set ups are super subjective & dependent on your personal driving style.
