I tried it. It was great. The men are not doing this for show for the camera. They literally do this about every hr or so when there is a new batch of mochi.
This is NUTS! I LOVE mochi. When I became a buddhist at a young age a lot of my fellow members were Japanese and I was introduced to some of the BEST Asian cuisine in the world and one of the Most Favorite foods I love the MOST is Mochi. I can eat it salty or sweet. Simply a delicious treat.
