Really nice video, guys. Thanks a ton for making it. The misses and I tried to climb Thielsen in 1990. We got about 150 - 200 yards from the top and had to turn around and go back --- GRRRRRRRR. My wife somehow stressed her knee and the pain was too great for her to keep climbing. I decided to stay with her instead of hiking solo to the top, because I didn't know how long it was going to take for her to walk back to our car. Turns out I had to carry her a great deal of the ways back because the pain was so intent for her. We live in Michigan so that was the last time we were out that way. NOW we get to enjoy videos like YOURS, which is awesome ... because we get to hike with OTHERS instead of just ourselves - right?

This was awesome guys!! Do more! Went to Crater Lake a couple of months ago and I pointed it out to a friend. I just called her and told her to watch!

Thank you for this. When I climbed Mt. Thielsen, maybe 10 years or so ago, it was almost by accident. I headed out from the campground, thinking I would just go far enough to take a look. But, the allure of that spire was too great, so I just kept on going. You apparently came in from a bit different angle, as that last 80 feet was very ladder-like for me, rather than a scramble. Also, thank you for the views, as, there were fires near the lakes when I climbed it, and, by the time I got to the top, everything was very smoked up and visibility was nil,. Even Diamond Lake and Mt. Bailey could not be seen.

Thanks for the video. I'm hoping to climb Thielsen this year and your trip has got me pumped! What time of the year did you climb it?

So about 8 1/2 hours roundtrip with snow. So I'd guess an average fit person could do it in around 4 if there was no snow and you were speedrunning it.

Dash camera footage shows truck vs protestor video comment:
Enable comments on that video. What are you afraid of people expressing their opinions? PEOPLE SHOULD NOT BLOCK ROADS FOR ANY PROTEST. Also the truck driver was nudging him out of the way if anything.
