  • When you're done enjoying your favorite Kalamazoo Candle, it's time to extinguish the flame. Say good-bye to your candle safely & stylishly with this sleek (and handy!) Wick Dipper.
    How it works: Gently submerge the burning wick into the melted pool of wax on your Kalamazoo Candle, then pull the extinguished wick upright using the curved tip. This instantly coats and seals the wick with wax, preventing any residual smoldering and leaving your home smoke-free and filled only with your favorite Kalamazoo Candle fragrance.
    Available in three elegant colors to complement your decor: Matte Black, Antique Brass, and Classic Pewter. Add one to your collection today & extinguish your candles in style!

    I just discovered this idea a few days ago (I'm over 60.) It's so nice to not have to deal with smoke! (I confess, I made a dipper out of a paper clip. Someday I'll treat myself to a real one.)

    Thanks for this video. I just bought a candle lover's accessory kit and really didn't know how to use that tool!

      It makes the whole room smells like smoke instead of the candle smell

    I honestly don’t understand the point…and y would you put a burnt wick into your clean wax?
    I hate burnt wick pieces in my damn wax…that’s the whole point of trimming the wicks

      the point is you don't make the room smell like smoke esp after the room smelled nice from the candle or wasting a nice expensive candle and if you create enough smoke over time especially trapping it with the lid after blowing it out it'll taint the smell/color of the candle and again it's a waste to ruin it esp if it smelled really nice or just expensive

    ....and we don't like candle smoke because...?

    • @renalfailur3
      @renalfailur3 Před 3 lety +14

      the smoke can actually be held into the candle through the melted wax pool, so eventually the scent and color of the candle could start to change!

      @@renalfailur3 Oh that's good to know! In fact, now that you've told me that I may have to revisit some of the candles that I ditched because I thought that they lost their scent or no longer held the same scent. Thanks!

      I had this really nice expensive lavender candle, the scent would fill a room with the most beautiful smell, I don't know why it was so noticeable with this candle, but it also gave off the most pungent smoke smell when you blew the candle out.. it would basically replace all the fresh lavender smell with "burnt" smell.. Not even nice burnt smell. Really sucked letting a candle burn for 2hrs before a party or bed to get a nice scent and then it's replaced with smoke smell. A wick dipped stopped that.

      It’s gross! I hate that my entire flat smells of a fireplace after I blow out an expensive scented candle. I have in mind Yankee Candle, so I later learned to blow it out and shove the lid on right away.

      @@Liusila and here I've been just putting the lid on quickly to extinguish it but then all the smoke is tainting the color of the inside of the candle the wax and the lid this method is so much better
