    thank you for this! question, we have recently had replacement windows installed and our window depth is shallow. we are having a hard time finding a small mounting shade but the one in the video seems quite minimal. could you please give some info on the blind and sizing. thanks so much

      Hi Sandy. If you contact us via our website we will be happy to assist you in your window treatment questions. I have access to some shades that only have a depth of less than an inch. The one in the video has a depth of 2 1/4”, but as I mentioned, if you contact us, we will see what we can do. kempler design.com Thanks for watching our video.

    This was helpful! What products exist for those of us who do not want strings across the window (in order to preserve an unimpeded view), but for use in an application where the window is quite wide (5' to 7' across)? In our application the room does not receive direct sunlight, so we will mostly be either be using the blinds to add privacy, by blocking out the bottom half, or by completely closing them to completely black out early morning light.

    I think the strings will be very problematic for me because of many things I swing around my room. If I can't be trusted with a vase (or several...ugh) then how can I be trusted with permanent strings? It's crazy

    I enjoyed your video, but how would a 4'9" tall woman reach the top of a window that's about 7 feet off the floor to operate the top down feature?

    • @PaulKempler
      @PaulKempler  Před 5 měsíci

      The answer to that question has to do with the mechanisms that are used. If you contact us at www.kemplerdesign.com we can assist you with it.

    Can they be in stalled on windows that are double hung and tilt in for cleaning?

    • @PaulKempler
      @PaulKempler  Před 4 lety

      Yes, they can! But certain things would have to be taken into account. You will have to deal with a window fashions expert that has a good grasp of the details so that your needs are taken care of. Hopefully you are in my area and I can assist you. Thanks for watching our video.

    Can they be installed on large windows 8' wide and 5' tall? There is 2" wide vertical division in the middle of the window. Thank you!

    • @PaulKempler
      @PaulKempler  Před 2 lety

      Yes, that size is doable by some manufacturers. I’m not sure what you mean by the vertical division. I’d have to see a picture to give you a better answer. Please feel free to reach out. Thanks for the question. PK

    possible to cut an inch or 2 from the side for a narrower window?

    • @PaulKempler
      @PaulKempler  Před 3 lety

      Almost everything is possible, but you'll need to discuss it with a professional in your area. The answer you will probably receive is that it is NOT possible. So many details go into these choices that I can't answer your question better than this.

    One of my Top Down / Bottom Up Shades string is broken. it doesn't go up anymore what should be the way to fix it, thank you!

    • @PaulKempler
      @PaulKempler  Před 2 lety

      It probably needs to be restrung. Find a local window covering repair location in your area and arrange to have them fix it. It is possible for you to fix it yourself. You would have to do a search as to “how to restring a cellular shade”. I hope you get it fixed. Take care!

    Are there top down shades that do not hav those ugly strings hanging from the head rail? Something like a side tack top down shade.?

    • @PaulKempler
      @PaulKempler  Před rokem

      Yes Jim. They exist, but US regulations may remove them soon. It also depends on the size of your opening. Thanks for the question.
