Sounds actually really good. Still not sure how I'm redoing the exhaust on my 1991 chevrolet s10 4.3 2wd. Currently it has no catalytic converter with a flowmaster 10 series single inlet and single outlet 2.5" and turn down in front of rear housing
Thank you! It honestly took me awhile to finally settle in on what I really wanted. Infact I still ended up changing my decision the same day the shop was putting it on haha, the guy installing it recommended 40 series and was nice enough to slip them on and I really liked them so that's what I went with. I originally was going to do 44 series, which supposedly gives a deeper bassier tone but it seemed a little too quiet for me. 10s to me seem like they'd be too loud but it's all your own preference! I would also recommend duals personally but that's just me. I plan on building my motor at some point so I got an exhaust that would compliment a mild or even full build, and potentially a built V8 if I ever did the swap.
Not to nickpick but true duals is an exhaust that has an exhaust out if each head that never connects You have an h pipe so its just a catless h pipe into whatever mufflers you have
@@LS1sLegoGarage Yes that's what I said but less complicated An h pipe crosses them over making them no longer independent "Independent" was the word I couldn't come up with
Them not being independent doesn't make them not true duals. If they joined in a muffler then that would be a little different or if they went into 1 pipe at some point. It's a passive crossover so it still makes it true duals.
@@LS1sLegoGarageIt’s not a passive crossover, it allows the exchange of exhaust pulses between the two pipes. It’s actually better for power, and it does change the sound. So no, not true duals, but still cool
Can you do a clip of it when it comes off choke and idles low how these v6s do. . I have a 91 s15 jimmy with the same drivetrain as u and i only have the stock cat dumping in front of the back doors
I noticed that too Wyatt. Apparently that’s because TBIs were tuned to idle a little high until it reaches proper operating temperature. It’s caused a lot of people to say that “it’s idling kinda high”, from pro mechanics to regular guys. Until after like 30 secs to 1 min it idles right down smoothly.
do you have any high idle issues? just got my first truck and it's a 91 S10 with a high idle and I cant figure it out, also Love the sound, think I'm gonna have to get me some Flowmasters
High idle can be a couple different issues. It can be the computer trying to re learn a tune if the battery was removed recently. But likely issues would be idle air control valve, map sensor, or vacuum leaks. If it's throwing a check engine light use an obd1 reader and it should tell you which one it is most likely. Hope this helps!
Thanks for sharing. I’ve been wondering what my ‘91 4.3 K10 would sound like with the 40’s Now i got an idea of what to expect.
Yup haha, definitely happy with mine, gotten a lot of compliments on it
That's alot of exhaust for a v6!!!!
Go big or go home haha
Hey the 4.3 is one of the good ones 😂
It's a lot of V6
@@ghostz263yeah it’s in all their work applications
@@jonathanryan2915terrific engine almost like the one outta the grand national

Sounds really good man good work.
Sounds great, just needs a big ol' bump stick now!!
That's when i lost it when i saw it damn im dual exhausted
Awesome sound 👌
I'm bout to do the exact same thing to my 89 s10
Awesome! Highly recommend it!!
I would ditch the H pipe it'll sound better but sound good man
Not to nickpick but true duals is an exhaust that has an exhaust out if each head that never connects
You have an h pipe so its just a catless h pipe into whatever mufflers you have
True duals just means they each have their own individual pipes for the entirety of the system
@@LS1sLegoGarage Yes that's what I said but less complicated

Those mufflers might be a bit too big for a v6 since it sounds like a v8. Still cool tho

Sure thing, stay tuned I'll have it posted in a few hours

I wish my Tacoma sounded like this. Practically impossible.
The MZ and GR sound really good with the right exhaust you just gotta keep looking. The GR sounds like a super car with the right exhaust

How did you do the o2 sensors? Stock had one where the factory Y merged.
Welded an o2 bung to the passenger bank exhaust pipe. Not perfect but it works good enough. No check engine lights either
Hey man I got a question how much was the engine and did u get it with 0 miles
It's the original engine, it has around 180k miles haha.
Pisale para oirla
Nice exhaust work? Are you going to switch over to a small block v8?
I plan to build the 4.3.
Bro, let the fuel pump prime the cylinders before turning over
Bro what 💀
