Uganda to start SGR construction linking Malaba and Kampala in December 2024

  • Uganda is set to start the construction of phase one of the Malaba Kampala standard gauge railway in six months time. Ugandan Transport Minister Edward Wamala says the project is expected to cost 77 billion shillings. The railway project is expected to reduce the cost of transports along the corridor.

    They won’t build the SGR 🚊 out. 😂. Because Uganda 🇺🇬 know the other 7 EAF countries need it for trade and business.
    South Sudan, Rwanda , Tanzania and Kenya can cry all day long.
    Where they are not … is in the middle locations. 😂😂😂 you are going to have 7 SGR and none connects.
    That is why Tanzania is now putting a line to Arusha. But that takes you only into Kenya
    It doesn’t matter if Rwanda and Burundi runs their train lines. Victoria lake is still the choke point
    You need Uganda 🇺🇬
    And they know it😂. ….
    Uganda trains 🚆 planned to meet South Sudan in the north. Kenya to the East. Rwanda to the South. Congo to the West.
    I said it here first. ( 2030. There will be a special tax paid )
    Uganda has built highway. Miles of roads. Tons of new planes ✈️ but no train …
