This will bring the division amongst African nations closer together. What that also brings is the easy access to other African nations and fast transportation of goods. I hope to bear witness in my life time that Africa will prosper and break centuries of "slave-master" mindset from the old colonial days and Africans stand equal in economic power like the West, Asia and European continents.

@@jonahsanga9150 Unlike the neighboring countries, the cost of acquiring land in Kenya is much higher than the neighboring countries. This is the cost of being more developed and having a "flawed" but functional democracy forcing you to pay market prices or close to it. Also, intermittent power makes electrifying the train "nonoptimal". Electrifying trains is also more expensive and as the SGR was already over budget, it wasn't a viable option. The SGR was commissioned for cargo/freight, people were entirely secondary.

SGR ya Kenya ni disel juu mainly inatumika kubeba mizigo mingi which is cost effective compared to stima.

@@jeffchurum1431 lakini kwa maoni yangu nadhani stima ina nafuu kubwa sababu pesa yake itabaki nchini kuliko diesel pesa inatumika nyingi kwenye kuimport.
