This has been one of the best e-bike reviews I have watched (and I've watched many!) A quick but effective unbox and build, then down to a realistic ride. Well done! 🎉
I had never thought of or knew you could reuse zip ties! Thank you for spreading your wisdom!
My favorite part of these videos is your trips. Make watching the reviews ten times better. Not to mention your complete and utter honesty and experience add a lot to the videos.
Another awesome job! I truly enjoy your honesty when showing the inevitable mistakes that happen along the way. Learned many new tricks while working on my classic from your show. Especially your carburetor tricks. Gave me the confidence to rebuild my Autolite 1100. The car never ran so good. Also enjoy seeing all the old local haunts around the river. Brings back many fond memories. Thanks again!
just bought one. haven't ridden it yet. 74 yrs. old and short guy. We'll see how it goes...
This is the best E-bike review I have watched! Thanks! Boy am I glad to not live in a city, lived on Government Island in the late 1970’s so I’m familiar with the lifestyle but I don’t miss it.
I’ve got one of these and this is the best review and ride out I’ve seen. Actually that journey was the best ride I’ve seen anywhere. Thanks!
This is best ride video that I've ever seen. I'm from NC and just before Covid I had a first generation Lectric XP in NY while training for a job with Metro North and l loved it. The camera you use has incredible clarity and sound. Great informative video. I'm in Uganda right now and intend to get this bike as soon as I get back to the states, your real world review sealed it for me
this is the 6th review I've watched on this bike in yours is by far the best. thanks for doing such a good and thorough job.
Glad you liked it!
Remember you have a "walk" mode to let the bike creep along on its own power (hold down switch below 0 PAS) so you don't have to lug that weight along or if you are needing to push it up a steep incline.
The walk mode is a terrific idea - pity it ain't standard on most eBikes / eScooters - maybe someday.....
I bought mine from HSN 2 weeks ago! Smoking deal with extended warranty and the tire inflator all for $1051. Free shipping! I have watched several you tubes on this brand but you did a very complete presentation! Thank you!
keep up the good work Chris you do a great job with your reviews and all the little in ride videos you do with these 😁👍
I love this video, you literally went up the hill that’s by my house and went down the hills I gotta take for work. GREAT VIDEO, definitely ordering this E bike like NOW !!
see the video a year later, i have the engwe motor X ... the small version of this bike, i love it and i drive to work with it, very good quality, thank s for the test, i love the new york drive ... greeting from germany.... see most of your videos, thank you
Wow perfect timing. Laid up with back surgery and bored to tears. Renaissance man to the rescue with a new video.....
Greatest bike review I ever watched! The bike was the star, but what a supporting cast!
Great Video, you look like you were having lots of Fun! I am impressed at the bike construction and how it rides.
I am considering an e-bike for my wife and me and yours is the best, real-world test yet. Great job bro!
This is the best all round review of this bike I've seen. Good job! :-)
you've made me a beliver . i love your trip , you gave ingredable info.
I’ve been meaning to purchase something you’ve reviewed but then you review something better or at least more to my liking 😂 great stuff man
Pretty cool bike and great review as always. Thanks NNKH!
Nice review , it looks very similar to my Lectric brand Ebike XP 2.0. I love it! Thanks Chris and thumbs UP!!
I paid for one of this bike last week in Amsterdam. Now i love this ebike
Well done as always with detailed explanations. I wouldn't hesitate to assemble one myself now and I'm no mechanic.
I enjoyed this. Esp how u blend in with everything n people in the city. Oh n d diesel creek shirts cool, Matt must b xcited..... Give us more
this is the only dude I trust to review a bike correctly
Awesome content. Love the Diesel Creek tee. I jave checked out a few of his videos and he does some interesting things. Keep up the awesome job !
not only a useful tutorial but a fantastic tour around the city
Glad you enjoyed it!
dope video, wish i seen this before i bought my EUY bike which comes in soon. gonna be all throughout NYC and NJ. Good Video
This is an excellent how-to and review for the Engine Pro. Thanks!
Wow fantastic video and love all the information and how good you talked and showed us everything we are going to pick a bike up today from a gentleman selling one for me wife ...but think i will end up using it lol 😆
I have been thinking about buying the Heybike Mars ! After watching your review, changed my mind. Enjoyed the start with assembly and after it was ready. The ride was amazing and wish to start riding one of these very soon in the streets of London 👍.
I been thinking of ordering the new mars also but i dont like how it looks with the battery outside. These look slicker
I love Gus man has a life jacket with a fin on it
Excellent video thank you 😁 the views around New York and the bike WOW! If I get get the bike someone will have to build mine or I'll end up with the seat being where the front wheel should be. From here in Wales 🏴👍🏼
Gus does not lead a boring life. He must think all dogs ride on jet skis and travel to Vegas, etc.
Best review I’ve seen on fat tyre folding bike’s 😊
Now thats how you do a product review
Nice 1 Chris 👌
Almost bought this bike. Ended up getting a cmace wheel rebranded and kristall rx20 in Australia. Pretty much the same bike without the regen brakes but way cheaper. Motor has a little more torque too.
I ride that similar route on my motorcycle, Jersey side.. Great video
Thanks for step by step, I think Engwe should say you need to put the black plastic part with screw back into the handlebar when mounted.
Lucky I didn’t throw it out 😂 my handlebar kept coming loose 😊
I just ordered my Engine Pro, thanks to your video!
No problem! Good luck with it
Thanks for the review Chris. I recently picked up a G-force T42, very similar to the Engwe, Lectric and others. Really like it, but there is some play forward and back when holding the front brake tight, putting some pressure downwards on the handlebars and rocking the bike back and forth.
I took the handlebars out and tightened the bearing collar on the stem. It was a bit loose and that definitely improved things a bit, but the play is still there. It seems to be the inner shock tubes moving within the outer shock tubes ever so slightly. Just curious if your fork reacts the same way and if you could test that for me? I'm not sure if I have a defective front fork or that's just the way they are, but yours looks identical to mine.
Thanks, Sev
Nice vid, first time I've watched your channel that I know of, hitting sub to see more Dachshund action. 😁☀️
Good job. I ride he Pro 2. It's a beast. Many mods on it. 22 mph motor only for miles. Lectric XP 2.0 is my other ride. I love them so.
Great review...great videos keep it up man 👍
This was a fun video! Ever thought about a bike hike with a buddy miked up? Do some electric bike shoot outs!
*Heavy when full*Excellent !! Made mywife very happy !!
Thanks for a great review of a great bike!
I got to say that bike is Awesome. Thank you for the insight on it.
Well done ! thanks for sharing.
wow. awesome ride and review! thanks
Great video hello from Dublin Ireland 👍
Amazing review I purchased because of this
Lovely scenary of New York.
Great video mate, thanks for taking the time to put your videos together always enjoy them. Just a heads up, the pirates are pretending to be you with “congratulations you’ve won a prize”, so just letting others know don’t fall for the old free giveaway bullshit. Cheers from down under.
The best part about this video is towards the end when you are wearing the Diesel Creek T-shirt. All the rest feels like a commercial as to why I need a battery powered bicycle.
Lol
Like the "take the train" experience. Crazy to blow out the battery at full speed the whole way instead of "responsible behaviour".
5:05 A great alternative to Loctite is a couple of squirts of hairspray - it has just the right (amount of) adhesive, is A LOT cheaper and, depending on the brand, can smell deliciously walnutty!. Just suggestin'.
Very good review, thanks
The City tour was cool! Thanks! I need one of those, after their Insurance people & the couple that hit me screwed me over fkn badly! I'm trying to save up to get another ride.
Dude! Love 5 guys burgers. Heavy breathing. 😂
Enjoy this video 💯definitely will get me this bike
Thanks for taking us on a your adventure to NYC on the e-bike review! What camera are you recording with? It's very crisp!
No problem! Thanks for checking it out! And it's the GoPro Hero 9 with my cell phone camera mixed in there a little bit also
Merci pour cette superbe ballade
good video but lets go with more will it run videos on main channel lol 🙂🙂
Man, I really would like to try one of these E bikes out.
Great review. Do you think this bike can handle some mountain bike trails?
Excellent video. I would have that if I lived in a city.
Nice video. What are you using for video equipment?
Good job 👍
Hello, I can't find these details.
What brand battery does it use? Panasonic, Samsung?
And what brand motor is it, Befang.?
Amazing review btw, you went into alot of information, especially building the bike. Definitely subscribed
Your 2nd channel has more subs than the main one. I've never seen that before 😆
Yeah it's because I had some CZcams shorts take off like crazy a while back. Hopefully I can surpass this channel in the long run though! Lol.
Superb review hope to see more on this bike thankyou Sir from the UK 🇬🇧 👍
Have you taken your boat on the Hudson? I would love too see some NY rides!
14:22, A twin deck train.? 😳
Hey awesome video man! Would you be able to tell me exactly what model this is?
Nice bike
nice bike
That's a cool trip
has the throttle issue been sorted on the newer ones? that is when pedaling the watts don't go to full as seen in some other older reviews
Awesome i hope i win, cause i enter contest on a daily basis and never win..only thing i ever won was from your giveaway, i won that awesome t shirt..and i show it off and advertise your channel..
So you have to ride with the key sticking out on the bottom down there? Or do you get to take the key out and put it in your pocket
solar panel on the rack would help
What's the best lock you'd recommend for ebikes?
Great review. Do you find the handlebars too narrow, making the bike "twitchy"? Seems that way in the video. Thanks!
Thanks. And no I didn't notice anything with them being too narrow but they definitely have a slightly different feel because of the Riser I think
How does it handle the rain? I've heard that it only has an IPX2 value.
What is the torque on Engwe Engine Pro and Engwe EP-2 Pro? On the manufacturer's website, both have 55 N.m. Elsewhere the EP-2 Pro is reported to be 80Nm and has a planetary gear and the Engine Pro only 55Nm and has no planetary gear but direct drive. So how is it right? Thank you.
I’d a nightmare getting the front wheel on the break pad has zero gap in them so the disk wouldn’t go in unless I hit it some slap. Went to go for the 1st spin and the fluid from the breaks went all over the place.
FYI, an Asian guy with all the pro kit got one of these, tore it down , really tore it down to component level including taking the battery apart , tested it all with meters etc. and was impressed at the quality of the build. Of the parts you don't see like controller, battery connections of the cells, everything. I love mine and you probably sussed this by now that that key is easy after a few times without any knee action, just use it from the left side maybe, and don't have the spare on there, it's not good if you lose both . I found mine cut out on very rough ground every now and then, the long battery moving was the issue, easily fixed with a felt pad at the extreme end to stop any movement. Those tyres, not heavy duty though, just knobbly. and when they puncture you're in a world of pain, they popped off the rim on mine even pushing it in walk mode. Sealant doesn't work at that low pressure, just makes an unholy mess, glue some kevlar or aramid inside the tyres , that works. You can get strips pretty cheaply which is handy as it's a bugger to cut, obviously. I'd turn her off before the key too, it can lose odometer mileage that way.
Great review. After watching a slew of vids on eBikes I went with the Lectric and one of the main reason was the customer support. Has anyone dealt with this companies CS? Oh, and I signed up to win one? 😁
Great vid! It could use a chain guard to keep pant cuffs from getting caught between chain and front sprocket IMHO.
That is what the plastic ring around the chain is for, so unless you're wearing 1970's flared trousers it does the job.
@@captainlockheed didn't see any ring. I do wear camo baggy pants while hunting and hope to use the bike to sneak along logging roads looking for grouse. Maybe the ring will suffice. But realize many different attires may be worn, even flowing dresses by ladies on occasion. Who knows. I do know what happens when a pant leg gets stuck. LOL!
@@captainlockheed just checked the vid again. Does not include chain installation. No big deal. GREAT VID!!!!
By 'ring around the chain' do you mean the front sprocket ring that kinda covers the chain? Looks like what you mean. Still would allow fabric entry imo. I will either make a proper guard or use a wrap above my right foot to prevent it. Also need inspect buddies wanting to ride it and give warning if they have baggy pants. Haha!
Nice 😊
We purchased this Vivi 27.5” electric bike and a Tentaquil 26” electric bike for our 13 and 14 year olds. czcams.com/users/postUgkxUiL0GnyDjP32RJdd660sP8mZk4CRLTCJ The Vivi was much easier to put together. With the Vivi, there was a video link to assist with assembly which made the process easier to follow (we did put the handlebars on upside down, but it was a quick and easy fix). With the Tentaquil, the assembly was not as simple to follow, but after we messaged the company for an assembly video, it was easier and they did respond quickly. The other major differences were that the Vivi has a grip throttle on the right handle (like a motorcycle) and the Tentaquil has a push throttle that you use your thumb to activate. The monitors were also different, so if you’re looking for something specific in terms of changing the bikes functions, pay attention to what the monitor offers. We were really impressed with the overall quality and functionality of both bikes, but if you’re looking for more power and an easier assembly, definitely go with the Vivi!
Hey Chris have you done a review on Mokwheel E-bikes?
No not yet
Please tell me how to unlock the throttle valve?
Hold the power button for 10 seconds, enter 1212 password and change the tire size for more accurate speed and mileage...
Does it fold up small enough to fit in a grocery shopping cart?
A large shopping cart yes. But you're better off putting a basket on it and then using it as a shopping cart. That's what I do with my scooter. They never say anything to me rolling it through the store
Should get another battery to take with you when the first battery goes dead
does the screen have an option for dark background?
