This song is a deliberate tip of the hat to Led Zeppelin's epic "Kashmir" (from 1975). It's very similar in overall style & grandiosity which is what Queen intended because of their longtime appreciation of Zeppelin's music & especially that song. For Zep fans it's obvious the first time you hear "Innuendo". And Queen acknowledged this in previous interviews/articles. Just more reason to love it!💙
Btw, love the new intro.
Roger actually said it's Led Zep meets Oscar Wilde
@@nickwall2497
Being an English Literature nerd, that makes it even better. Clever Roger!💙
So glad to see you again... with such a beautiful company
Innuendo it’s a masterpiece..!! I love it!!
The entire album was made... “scratching time to death”, as Roger Taylor said once!!
💔💔💔💔
And this song... it’s so beautiful, full of meaning, full of melodies and different nuances ... and the first time you hear it... you must doing again..!!!
Yay Courtney!! one of my favourite Queen song's and album great reaction as always. I would of loved to of heard Freddie perform this song live. Also great intro
You’re #3 to comment on the new intro. Also, thanks! I’m looking forward to having her in more videos!
The video is made up of clips of earlier song videos and live performances, with each of them represented in a different art style. Pretty creative!
Freddie: Leonardo da Vinci
Brian: Victorian etchings
Roger: Jackson Pollack
John: Pablo Picasso
Thank you lala.
.I was searching fot this....poor deaky gets Picasso. .lol
@@marggie4129 Ha! I'm hoping he selected that himself. 😂 The art influence is one of the reasons I love the video, apart from the song, of course. It's just so unique.
I love this song, in fact I love the whole Innuendo album. As you probably know, Queen was not able to get around to shooting the video for the song “Innuendo” before Freddie Mercury’s health precluded him. I appreciate how you try to get the facts straight for the material you upload to CZcams but this is one time I feel compelled to clarify the information about the music video for “Innuendo”. One CZcams video you need to check out for your own knowledge is the Electronic Press Kit (EPK) that was distributed for the release of the Innuendo album. The EPK was sent out for the marketing of the album. The link for EPK video is: czcams.com/video/VQDZDsEoAyE/video.html
You will see that work on the “Innuendo” music video was well underway. Luckily for Queen, when they signed their new North America record company deal, it was with Hollywood Records, which was part of the Walt Disney portfolio at the time. This gave them access to animation techniques and expertise that helped to bring this music video to life. Additionally, Freddie Mercury was still reviewing production updates/edits for this music video prior to his death.
Thanks just started to watch the link for the EPK video. I do not think I have seen this one before, at least not in its entirety. By the way is amazing, since I've watched almost everything out there, so THANKS!
Yes yes you said it right 😂! Great reaction. Love seeing Courtney in there!! And yeah the new intro is awesome 🙌
This song gives me chills too

Inside, there’s Freddie, Brian and Roger all sitting together. They go: ‘Let’s play you the album’. Of course, I’m hearing it for the first time […] And they saved "Innuendo" itself until last. They played it and I was fucking blown away. They all chimed in: ‘We want some crazy Spanish guitar flying around over the top. Improvise!’ I started noodling around on the guitar, and it was pretty tough. After a couple of hours, I thought: ‘I’ve bitten off more than I can chew here’. I had to learn a bit of the structure, work out what the chordal roots were, where you had to fall if you did a mad run in the distance; you have to know where you’re going. But it got towards evening, and we’d doodled and I’d noodled, and it turned out to be really good fun. We have this beautiful dinner, we go back to the studio and have a listen. And they go: ‘That’s great. That’s what we wanted
Love this, strong lyrics that are still actual today. Freddie-Queen had a message I think, amazing musicians. Freddies voice is so powerfull, although he was very sick. Legend! Looking forward to more Queen.
..., and I love this video too..!!!
Be free ..., be free..!!
And they were.... creative..., surprising.., amazing... everything in it was made with a special care and professionalism, the trade mark of Queen!!
The song came about from a get together jamming session, a couple of years back some lucky people got to hear those sessions behing closed doors.
Nice interaction between you three. I also like the new intro! Well done.
Love this song and I couldn’t believe I heard Roger play the drum intro live a few weeks ago before they moved into Now I’m Here. Everyone around me was going - omg its Innuendo . Best concert ever.
Hearing "innuendo" is touching the sky, it is being in the head of a genius, Freddie Mercury is a genius of the likes of Mozart, this is an incredible song, impressive, great, insurmountable, a gem of rock history
I love the flamenco part ...specially on the electric guitar
The video was released the same time as the single which was no 1 in the uk 1991
Wow 🥰 beautiful Freddie ❤️ Freddie Mercury ❤️
Nice new intro
Thanks! You and only one other person have said anything about it!
You're all good people.
great reaction as always however I have to question the date of the video release.
Here in the UK this video was the actual promo for the songs original release. It won awards in 1991/2.
Later it was included in "Greatest Flix" DVD collection which was released in 1997
I’ve heard controversy about the release date we said in the video. All I can say is that the release date on the video that we watched on CZcams said 2013
@@TheBassPlayer I've seen similar date inaccuracies in other videos (non Queen)on CZcams. Some videos from the early 80s being dated as post 2000.
I wonder why this happens?
Anyway, my apologies for being a tedious bore.
:)
@@johnrutherford6877 Oh, you're not. You're fine. I'm not sure why CZcams does that sometimes. Technology is weird sometimes.
You are correct John. This was released with the single. I remember watching it and it appeared on top of the pops. It was Queens most expensive video. It was definitely not released in 2013.
The bass player, never mind what CZcams is telling you, it's WRONG. Listen to the fans that know. The video was released in 1991. Got that? It was on the VHS video Greatest Flix 2 released in 1991! I know, I bought it. So stop with this 2013 crap!
You should watch or react to the making of the Innuendo album very informative and showed they really had a lot of fun. Roger also said they were very democratic everyone got there say.
Interesting point: Innuendo was NEVER played live by Queen. Freddie practically crawled out of his sick bed just to record the song. He knocked back a good few gulps of vodka then did it one one or two takes before going back to bed. This would have been an amazing song performed live in concert.
Save her at all cost :-)
Fantastic grit voice, considering freddie's state of condition then...superb..love queen.."don't take offense in my inuendo"..
This song must of been hard for him
Politics controlled finance for research and education and public awareness about aids but strongly dictated by religion
Which was put above people's health even though people were dying until it effected heterosexuals..
He was criticised for not going back to zanziba but why would he when it's illegal to be gay there
I'm using that as it relates to freddie obviously as the clips suggest there are many examples where people who are causing no harm to anyone aren't allowed to live the life they should because of politics or religion
You can't blame him for being a bit mad
I have such respect for him that he dealt with everything in such a strong determined and dignified way
......and what did you think about the actual music? And Freddie's amazing vocals?
A stunning song, for me much better than bohemian rhapsody.
Queen "You and I" (John Deacon). czcams.com/video/ir05RhMqpPI/video.html
I can tell the difference this time lol
😂
?
What's that supposed to mean?
@@courtneytruax6567 In the last video he said you looked different because he just got done watching dad and then the next one he saw was ours.. This one he sees you side by side. Little British humor
I don't think I'd like to watch the film bohemian rhapsody I think I'd get too irritated by it
I feel they let Freddie down by making them beleive it's his way or no way
They have all said everyone pushed for what they wanted sometimes egos got in the way but it was always democratic
