Thanks so much for this video!! My husband and I are signed up for the classes in February and hearing about what to expect relieved some fears. Here in NC they’re called MAPP training- Model Approach to Partnerships in Parenting

Great information!!! I wanted to ask All I need now is my final walk through and everytime my county will make the appointment they cancel hours the same day. My husband and I did all the classes, paperwork and all the clearances. This walk through is last piece to our puzzle to be licensed foster parents and our home. Today is the second cancelation they have done and I understand that foster care is unpredictable however I don’t like the county cancels this many times. We have been trying for the county to come out for a month now.
I believe that foster parents can change the lives of children and hope and pray that these children can grow with less trauma.

Great info. Adoption ending up as an end goal is much higher where I’m from. I think a lot of it has to do with why many children come into care in my area. I’ve had multiple children under 2 in my home who have ended up needing an adoptive home.
