This is truly amazing, I never knew about an adult being adopted, I’ve been a single parent for years, both my parents have passed away would loved to have had this opportunity, struggled so much but would have been nice to have a hug from a mum and dad and help for my son 😊♥️ glad you are happy and settled x

My mom remarried and chose her husband over me and kicked me out at 20 and no longer wanted me. I am hoping to find another substitute mother and hope to be adopted.

I had the same thing but I lost my adoptive mom 3 years ago. My biological mother passed in 2005 and my dad in 2012. I literally had no one except my husband's family. Then this lady my husband and I knew told me she would be my mom. I loved her so much! I miss her terribly, more than my birth parents. I also have lost two of her son's one shortly before mom and one since. I still have her daughter, my sister and one of her son's, my brother. My sister looks and sounds just like mom, I call her and sometimes I think mom is still here.

My mother remarried after my Dad died and that relationship is now the only one she cares for or has time for. I want her to be happy but sadly her happiness requires not being my Mom. My whole life since I was at least five I can remember her telling me that she loves me but doesn't like me. Apparently she really meant that. My husband and in laws assure me I'm a good person and that she is the problem. I'm fortunate to have in laws but it's just not the same as having your own Mom. I just don't understand how some Mom's hate being a Mom but didn't prevent getting pregnant or give their kids up for adoption, it's just so selfish. I'm 40 something without kids and so I feel like I both need to be adopted and need to adopt someone else too. I am terrified of the thought of ever losing my husband because I would be completely alone and probably curl up in a ball and die too. I am oddly comforted realizing I'm not alone in being alone. 🤗

I need to be adopted. My real mother never taught me anything about how to live life. As a result since I turned 18, I have lived with friends and bounced around. I don't have any income and I live with an old man that is evil. And I fear when he dies I will have no one. I will probably go homeless and die myself. I'm 49 years old. I have severe anxiety. I also have nobody to help me get disability. I fear the world and everyone in it.

I’m sorry that your going through this. I would recommend seeking out a mentor or an older grandmother type figure. Maybe you could find out at church? Someone that you want to be like someday. I’m so thankful for the older mentors in my life. Praying for your situation friend!

@@winterhendrickson2242 thank you but I have severe anxiety and I don't go to church crowds frighten me. I don't have any face to face friends. I need somebody to introduce me to people. I could never do it on my own. I'm to scared of negative judgement. Thank you for your prayers. I need any help I can get.

This is a beautiful story..both of you have so much love and light in your eyes. I actually had to separate from my family due to toxicity. My family is very self-centered, talk bad about each other, manipulative and all struggle with mental health issues.
I grew up with sexual, physical, verbal and emotional abuse from my stepfather. I was also sexually taken advantage of by another man starting at the age of 4. My stepdad was sadistic and very narcissistic.
I was in an 11 year relationship with my childrens father and realized I was, once again, around some very dangerous. My mother has never displayed any “role modeling,” besides false empathy and using me to basically be her psychiatrist. I think my kids father has sexomania. When my daughter was 2, he almost did something to our daughter but I stopped him before he could. I never allowed him alone with her. I started to question things 6 years into the relationship and since he was very sociopathic, it took tremendous effort for me to realize we were being abused because if you know about covert narcissism or sociopathy, they are masters at manipulation, devaluing and control. We were treated like dogs. He never brought up birthdays or holidays. I had social anxiety and was scared everyone was going to treat me the same and I was petrified. My mother never ever stepped in because she could never do that for herself.
I just want to say that if someone could please explain how I could adopt a family/a mom and dad I would really appreciate it. I could really use the support, emotional safety and mutual love. I have no one- and we have way too much love to just hold it in. I believe things happen for a reason. Just like how I just found out about adult adoption 2 hours ago.
Thanks again for your video. It was very inspiring.

I listened to your backstory. I have a friend who was adopted as an adult and her story is very similar to yours. Keep Federer your head up… doing it alone is not easy. I hope you can meet a family
