T1 has a history of always stepping up on the worlds stage, which is why their worlds performances are so consistent even if they don't even make it sometimes. T1's a weird team where you can actually look at peak performances to rank them, because that's the form they show often at worlds unless they do their classic Game 5 Finals choke.

Even after worlds now. Idk about Oner he did carry some games but these others jgers are the center piece of these team. But keria tho, number 1 support no arguments. But now seeing this again I have realized and am impressed on how JDG lost. They had the most stacked motherfker team ever. They had knight, 369, kanavi, and ruler wtf…. I didn’t even really pay attention to how good they all were, respect to t1

Few days into the Worlds Grand Finals and in your list, only TheShy is left to prove himself worthy... everybody else aside from Chovy, who choked in the QF, was crushed by T1 in their respective roles... 369 was dominated by Zeus, Kanavi was toyed with by Oner, poor Knight witnessed Faker in his GOAT form, Ruler and GALA... just watch the SF teaser and whatever Gumayusi said there, he delivered... finally Support, Keria cooked and everybody else was served on the dining table.
369 got dominated in the rumble game, thats it. For the rest of the series he was superior i dont quite get ur point.
Kanavi also played amazing except of 2 games where he indeed got gapped but simply by playing reaally bad, not by oner being good.
Knight was pretty much invisible but i did not see faker ever outplaying him or playing any better. he had 1 good moment knight didnt have but thats it.
Bot was also even.
Overall this list is still accurate and jdg probaly wins 7/10 times vs t1. But we witnessed a 3/10 and t1 outplayed jdg. So t1 deserves to be in the finals but lets see if they choke again

Kanavi played only 1 decent game, which is game 2, his wukong in game 3 did not make much of an impact except ganking top, let's not even talk about game 4, he failed his role badly during clashes, how can you say someone got gapped in their role and fail to recognize the other who played better? Oner is not even top 5 in this list. Knight is a midlaner, the fact that he was unable to make much of an impact all throughout the series shows how much he is gapped by Faker in that role aside from the laning phase. Bot duo, oh c'mon seriously? Fed Zeri + Aatrox vs Varus at point blank, do you think Ruler can replicate the same if we swap the players? Make Guma + Zeus play Zeri and Aatrox while Ruler on Varus? We all saw his Varus in game 3, outplayed by Faker, got killed by Zeus while shopping lol and that was the same game where Guma got killed at 1 CS, he was leading in gold and he failed to materialize it as an AD "Carry"... Ruler could not even carry his team when he was leading in gold both games 3 and 4. As for Keria not being top 5, well yeah he's a chef, he cooked the competition, end of discussion.

Fakers not the single best at 1 thing because he is the ultimate game manager. Huni talked about it either this year or last when he was on the broadcasting team for the LCK. He said he was amazed when he would call plays out that were like 2 minutes away and where the jg would be or that he would die and pull pressure but that they would be able to get something elsewhere. He understands so deeply whats going on with everything in the game that he's managing every lane all at once and dictating to everyone what they should do. He is by far the MVP and the GOAT for any league team.

*To me as much as I saw guma and keria, during world they step up - like the nba players during playoffs they turn up few gears and surprise enemy bottom lane by surprise not just with picks but also play styles etc. and honestly I think its one of T1 strategies, get safely to worlds and then have some element of surprise, and theirs are like Caedrel said decision making god keria, and clutch t1 player guma, I would put both of them to at least top 2 of their roles during worlds* :)

The best part about the last couple of years is that, after 4 years, you could still put that Griffin roster together (with Doran starting of course) and they would for sure make worlds, maybe even top their league and win it all. The fact that that roster got gatekept by their mentally liable coach and toplaner is insane. Just wish Viper was there aswell (at worlds this year, that is).

Loved the team tier list, but I'd love to see a version where you rank the teams based on how you think they'll perform in that meta. I doubt it will be accurate at all but i think it'd be a fun to speculate on the worlds meta and how teams could handle it.

I feel like its impossible to talk about players in a vacuum. Draft prio before the game starts is a factor. Jungle prio on allied and enemy side is a factor in game. On the Worlds stage you win and lose as a team.

I think dragon soul of the game should be shown in draft. You'd get meta's for each soul, change things up, challenge teams to draft more than 1 style. Even if it caused only 2 different metas instead of a unique meta for each soul it would be a success. Removes the Rng a bit. Thoughts?

Difference is the lanes. Western toplanes are by far way worse than eastern, while the botside difference between east and west isn't that extreme
I disagree with Miky being in the top 5, but i don't think you can compare Miky and BB. Mikyx is a MVP and looks like he is the best support in the West and it's not even close. BB is the best in his role too, but the difference between BB and other western toplaners is way smaller than difference between Miky and other western supports.

With old world format, it relies on lpl team collapsing but this format gonna have some eastern team kill each other.

Mikyx was ranked top 5 supports in the world in 2019/2020 worlds, now hes playing even better why would he not be top 5? So we can put a struggling keria in the list?

Xiaohu not being top 5 is a crime. This man carried fights for WBG to get to worlds. Scout was jailed against Xiaohu and had to rely on Zika and Tarzan to carry him with the drake luck to even beat WBG.

It's to do with obviousness. Scout was not a major winning factor for LNG in that series while Xiaohu was THE winning factor for WBG.
Scout obviously deserves #3 for what he did later on in the playoffs and regular season but the WBG series, he was clearly #2 mid.
I think this season is Xiaohu's prime, but other team members are not at the same level. So his performance can't seen.
